I smile at my little colt, exploring the depths that Hollow woods had to offer. I was laying in the shade, happily watching the colt toddle around. I was glad Chaos had never heard or realised my fears, as I was ill from the birth and I was only starting to feel better. Chantelle had dissapeared into hiding for the summer, which was normal for her as she didn't like the bright sun and heat to much. My head rose to the sky and a deep breath was intaken. The calming air soothed my thoughts and I drew my head down to watch the colt frolick. I knickered to him to come closer, as he was dissapearing into the thick wooded area, which was over-run with wolves. I smiled as he curled up next to my barrel and pushed his nose against it. His black coat seemed to sparkle in the sun, as did mine, yet his seemed darker. I smiled and sniffed him. Do you know what happens today? I asked, his nose shaking like the innocent child he was. Today's the day that Spring's sister appears, and her names Summer. She is really hot and warms us up, gets us ready for their brother winter to come along...

i n t r e p i d ; ; Watch it, punk Hmm, spring seemed to fly by, and yet, i still hadn't heard anything of the foals. Well, certainly not anything about Eris's new colt anyways. I had heard that my younger sister was to be the next queen, she was aparantly a perfect foal, just like me. But now, i was three years old, ha, i was such a special colt. The heir, and to stay heir until i fineally became king of hollow woods. I snorted and paced into a jog across the lands as the familiar scent of Eris became stronger. Rounding the corner, away from the main meadow, and closer to the rocky part of the terrian, i spotted Eris's figure laid on the ground. My harks flickered, and nostrils flared, was she okay? Snorting sharply as the colt came into veiw, i slowed to a walk, my figure moving across the lands with such ease. I was such a proud horse. As i neared the mare, a low greeting was released for her, but my hard, black eyes did not once rest on the colt who played near by. Good afternoon Eris. How are you feeling; tired i presume, i hear your little one is quite a handful. I sia,d my voice deep, hiding its rudeness. Quickly, i glanced over at the colt, who seemed interested in my apperance. I scowled, and returned back to the mare that i had recently grown quite fond of. [/sup]

I looked up, interupted in my story of the seasons by the quiet, husky voice of Intrepid. I smiled and dipped my head. Tired, Intrepid? Has it been that long since we spoke? You have not heard of my illness, have you? After the brith of Lustra, I was weighed down and felt heavy. I feel much better, and thank god for such an obediant colt. I said, as the colt stood and trundled up towards the elder. He stood next to him and smiled, his eyes searching Intrepid's coat. He looked up and I thought of memories that were thought lost. You know, he reminds me of you at his age. You were tiny and so full of energy, now look at you. All grown up... I said. Lustra walked round him, sniffing his coat and returning to his head. Who are you?he asked, his little voice carrying on the wind lightly.

i n t r e p i d ; ; We carry on She smiled, as she always did, she was a lovely respectful mare, i liked her alot. I nooded smartly at her and listened to her words, then snorted softly No, i wasn't told of your illness, i have been busy preparing for battle. I hope you get well soon though. Hmm, obendiant? not the word i would use, however, my attitude always changed around other stallions or colts, no matter what. As the colt began to circle me, my jaw tightened, my teeth grinding together. I flicked my white cord in annoyance and awaited him to come back around to my front. My face a constant frown. When he spoke, i felt my blood pressure rise, i was known for having a short temper, and it was often triggered by younger ones wo thought they were bigger and better than anyone else. Colt. First of all, do not circle me nor touch me. And will you learn some manners pretty sharpish, or would you like me to teach you some? I snapped at him, my teeth clacking thirty centimetres above his head. I looked back at Eris, and walked calmly to her side, giving her that Sorry, but it had to be done look. Once at the mares side, i snorted sharply, my nostrils quivering. I am Intrepid. Heir to these lands. I added, my husky chunky voice flowing over to the colt. I licked my maw free of a small blood stain, and waited some response. Would the colt back down and respect me? or would i have to teach him some manners? [/sup]

Lustra looked from Intrepid to me, with his big eyes and his little frown. I looked up at the elder colt and snorted. Remember, he is only a couple seasons old...I whispered, lightly with a twist of darkness entwinned. The colt appraoched us once more and shook his head blankly. What's a hair? he asked, obviously mishearing him. I giggled and shook my head. Then, looking up at Intrepid, I stopped. How would he take it? Would he attack the young colt or let it slip? I lowered my crown slightly and snorted again, nibbling the grass underneath my heavy bod. It was squash and more compact, meaning I could get more into my belly. I closed my eyes and listened, awaiting the reply.

On towards the wilderness
As she snorted, i couldn't help but snigger. don't you get yourself wound up now eris.. As she spoke, i dipped my crown True, very true dear. But teach him the way of evil now, and he will succeed in the future. Don't you agree? I asked her, my voice deep and masculine. Although i immediatly had a curse up against the other colt. I like d the way he looked up to me.
As he aproched again, and spoke. I smirked, and let out a low creppy laugh. A heir Is like the prince of these lands, i was fathers first born colt, and also, my mother is the queen of these lands. So you should respect that. Take a leaf out of your mothers book, whilst your still young, learn the way of darkness, and you will survive in this land. i cautioned, a word of warning for this young one.

I sighed and watched the poor colt tremble slightly. I reached my nose out to him and nibbled at his mane. I pulled him closer and sighed, Intrepid seemed to tower over us, like looking down on us like scum. I snorted again and shook my head. The colt took my snort literally and lay down at my side. I looked up Intrepid. Have you seen little Chantelle? She has dissapeared...for the summer. I haven't seen her in a while and I do hope she's alright...Do you know anything about her? I asked, quickly changing the subject. The colt lowered his head and fell into a light sleep, which made me quiet happy. I could scent something on the air, just what was a mystery to me.

Our quest carries on
As Eris nursed the young colt, i frowned, although i was being mean, i was also teaching him a lesson, if he picked this up now, it would grant him wishes in the future. But Eris didn't see it this way. I gave her a look that ment what i was thinking, then glanced down at the sleeping colt.
I then moved my gaze to the casted skies, now turning a deep red, like my crimson liquid. A good sign that the following day would be a good one. As Eris spoke, i remained looknig at the cloud formations, but i did take in her words, and when she finished speaking, i looked at her. No, it has been a while since i last spoke with her. All i know is that she is a little emtional at the moment. My voice cracked a little, i was very concerned about her, she was like my best friend to me. We shared so much.

I frowned at the look that Intrepid gave me and shook my head. Think what you want doll, I ain't changing my son for you... I thought, over and over again. The colt snored slightly and I giggled at the noise. I sighed a little and took a quick glance at the sky. Chantelle.... Emotional? I hardly doubt that. She is a pure dark and she shouldn't be acting like a neutral! I said, quite determined to keep my daughter the way she was. My eyes were down-cat to the grass, and the flakes that had been cut by me already. I nibbled at them again and sneezed, blowing the grass every which way. It was funny, as a little strip landed on Intrepid's nose and some landed in my mane. I giggled slightly, laughing at the blade stuck to teh coloured colt.

i n t r e p i d ; ;
Far beyond the sundown
As the colt grunted in his sleep, i eyed his suspiciously, then returned my gaze to Eris, my grey pelt turning darker as the sun melted from the sky to rest and bring out the moon. I smirked, tonight, i felt mischeivious, something would happen and i knew it.
As she spoke, i nodded, true, Chantelle had always been a true dark, but something, or someone had changed that, in my eyes. Thats what i thought, Eris, she has always been a natural dark equine, however, i think she has discovered love, maybe that is what is upsetting her. But don't go by my word, i don't know that much really. Our conversation was now getting less formal as we relaxed around eachother.
A distant wolf call carried itself on the wind, that crepping call, haunting, almost. My harks twitched, my black eyes tinted with silver streaks as the moon rays began to shine on them. Again, i glanced down at the sleeping colt. Then, my harks snapped back as i heard an approching equine. I spun around, standing infront of both mare and colt to protect them from the intruder. Only to discover that it was father.
c h a o s ; ;
Time to dance
A sly smirk spread itself across my face as i saw my now three year old son spin around to protect my mare and youngest son. I nodded to him, but did not speak, we only spoke when it was the two of us, very rarely in public. Giving him a stern look, he returned the nod, then turned to eris to say goodbye. With a stubborn flick of his grey and black cord, he was gone.
Turning back to Eris, i smiled at her Good evening Eris, i hope your well. And Lustra too. I hoped he would awaken at the sound of his name, but so far, no no avail. I turned to look in the way Intrepid had vanished, then turned back to face Eris, with a confused look on my skull. What was he doing? I asked, of course, referring to Intrepid.

The colt stirred in his sleep when his name was said, yet he stayed asleep in his mothers tum. I smiled and looked away to watch Intrepid dissapear. I shook my head, holding it firm as the summers cooling wind started to blow. I sighed and turned to look up at the stallion. I don't really know, Chaos. He just appeared from no-where while I was telling a story to Lustra. Then we chatted, and he teased Lustra for not being 'respectful'. Then you appeared... I said, trying not to sound unenthusiastic at seeing Chaos. He hadn't had much to do with me and Lustra since the birth. I sighed and nuzzled the colt. He stirred again, this time raising his tired head to look around with tired eyes. I smiled and looked round to Chaos. Looks who's here darling...Your father... I said, looking away as I spoek a certain word. The colt jumped up at circled the stallion. Hi daddy! he shouted as he came to a stop at the head of Chaos.

come to me, pretty ones
As she spoke, i nodded. Hmm, well my apologies for him teasing Lustra, however, you know what he is like, trying to annoy all the ohers so they become darker. Its how he has been brought up, and no doughtedly the way he will work for the rest of his life. I snorted softly as Lustra stirred, he seemed pretty happy to see me. I laughed, my tone deep, yet friendly, you could say. Good evening Lustra, how are you? I beleive you have met my first son, Intrepid. I spoke with a masculine voice, then smiled again at him, awaiting an answer from both mare and colt.

Eris shook her head and sighed. I do not mind him. He is your one and only true heir, I understand he will be somewhat competitive. I said, a hint of sarcasm in my voice. He seemed to be amused with the colt as he trundled along on still weak knees. I rolled my head with as smirk and giggled. The colt peered up at the stallion and smiled. I am good, thank you. I don't like your hair. He's very mean... he said, childlishly and yet, he still hadn't got his tongue roudn teh word heir. I laughed again, and stopped, looking sorrowfully at Chaos for the trouble the colt would probably cause in the next couple of minutes.

c h a o s ; ; easy now I listened to Eris's words, and indeed, they were words of the truth. Well yes of course, with Lakita as a strong powerful mother, she only wants the best, i dout he will ever settle down into a life like mine, he'll be forever fighting and arguing, i would say. I laughed slightly at my own words, i kne whim far too well. My skull turned to the right and snaked down to meet Lustra's height as he spoke. I frowned a little, but then relaxed my features. Intrepid is a very powerful and uptight stallion, Lustra, and even though i am your father, i wil lonly protect you to a certain extent, you must learn to fend for yourself, and you will learn quickly off Intrepid. I told him. It was true, although harsh and bitter, Intrepid was infact a great fighter, i had had friendly matches against him a few times, although he was not yet ready to take over from me, he was coming close. Lustra watched his sire with large inquistive eyes. He felt me nudge his rump to bring him back to my side, and I sighed as he nestled back into my side. I looked up at Chaos and looked round. I'm surprised at you, Chaos. You've changed deeply since the birth of your first borns. I spoke, my eyes returning back to the stallion yet they seemed not to fully look at him. My eyes then down cast back to the colt, who was ducking his nose under by barrel, trying to get comfy. I adjusted slightly and he feel against my side. I smiled at him and then thought about Chantelle. Poor Chantelle. I feel sorry for her now. This critter takes up all my time, and she never gets a look in... she muttered, mostly to herself. Her sigh came slowly, yet it sounded more like a hiss of warning.
