Caesar&Ferentina Golden pelt shook shivered under the burning sun as I sprinted across the plains. I had already been to Misty Plains – my old territory, and smelled the musky scent of new stallion, but not the ones I was searching for. Nostrils quivered as I raised my golden crown to the air, taking a deep sniff – where were they?
Slowly I wandered across the borders to another territory – the stench of stallion was strong here, but their scent was also clear here. Creamy legs carried me closer and closer to the center of the lands; yes I was prepared to face the consequences of wandering in on this unknown stallion’s territory – prepared to fight him to meet my precious darlings once again. Sapphire orbs shone with regret and sadness, I hadn’t foreseen I would have to leave them without a warning – with them I had left my heart behind, foolishly hoping that I would be gone for a few months only and that they would be waiting for my return. But I had been gone for almost – three years? I had never imagined that my errand would take this long, but my darling had been in desperate need of my help.
I turned my head slightly and sent the beautiful Ferentina a weak smile, and my mood lifted slightly as she returned my bad excuse for a smile with a brilliant one. Slowly I turned my head back and focused straight ahead – gathering my composure I let out a forceful call for the leader of this territory – or my darling Viva and my precious children. The beautiful female stopped beside me and shook her silken mane as she too awaited the arrival of my darlings.

m o n t è ; ; Through the fire and flames The warm sun heated my muscles, awakening me from a patient sleep, my harks became alert, and twitched, listening to the early morning sounds that occured in my precious home, the forgotton valley. Snorting softly, i dipped my head to my off foreleg and scratched, licking my maw as i finished. With a great grunt, i brought my figure to a stand, and shook off a few leaves that had fallen early off the overhanging willows. Walking out, i came close to the stream bank, and again, dipped my crown to the ground, black silky tassles falling over my black pools, blinking, i shook my head, and raised my crown, nares quivering slighthly as the slightly musky scent of a brute came wafting my way, followed by a call. I grunted, and prodded my chest with my chin, and called back, before setting off at a brisk jog to find this intruder. What was he doing here, and why? As a creamy figure came into veiw, i slowed, but my eyes then rested on another, close by him. What was this? Snorting as i approched them, i eyed the bigger cremello curiously, but gave him a sharp nod, showing i was no harm. Morning brute. I am Montè, leader of this realm, may i ask what you and your other are doing here? I questioned, my voice deep, but not overly so, my brillient black eyes shone out for answers, as again, i looked at the mare, and to her, i nodded, and smiled. [/sup]

caesar&ferentina Nostrils quivered slightly as I took in the nearing scent of a brute, the scent was soon identified as the one who owned this territory and I felt myself tense up; readying myself for battle if I needed to. Soon a coal stallion entered my vision and I felt my legs twitch in reply to my tense posture – I took in the stallion’s appearance, from his green catty eyes to his nightmare colored pelt – could he possibly be the leader of a light country? I felt anger rise inside me and a snort flew from my golden muzzle. The black male however nodded to me as if I was an ally and threw himself out in a short speech – instantly my frame relaxed and a calm smile spread on my lips, so he really did belong to the light alliance eh? I cast a short glance at Ferentina and she nodded in approval, in reply I stepped forward – my golden pelt shining like pure gold under the burning sun and introduced myself.
“Goodmorning Monté, I apologize for waking you on this most beautiful morning. I am Caesar, former leader of the Misty Plains, I’ve returned from an errand.”
I cast a short glance on Ferentina again, sending her a gentle smile before turning my golden head back to Monte.
“- That took longer than I had guessed. Vivacious has joined your herd along with my youngest foal, has she not? It may seem like an odd request, but I’d like to talk with them both.”
My tone came out regal and collected, not showing my inner emotions. On the outside I was calm, collected and strong – on the inside I was broken and my heart shattered, I wasn’t complete without Viva and I wouldn’t rest before I made sure she was okay, and hopefully make her forgive me. I didn’t necessarily want her to come back with me and find a land to settle down in, I just wanted – no needed, to see for myself that she was whole and in good shape, not battered and broken as I was.

m o n t è We carry on I noticed the other brute tense up, well, i was often misunderstood, my muscular frame, covered in a pelt of midnight, my big eyes. However, i was as light as the day. As i spoke, the tension between us two stallions softened, and i sighed softly, as he spoke, my harks twitched, listening, catching his every word. Pleasure, Ceaser. I told him, nodding smartly again, an errand? Already, i was curious, my mind was still young, although i was now reaching six, them days as a youngster still pottered around in my mind. Every now and then, Caeser would turn and look at the mare beside him, who had remained silent throughout. I cast a short glance at her, was she his slave? It was very unfamiliar for a light stag to keep a mare at hostage, but she seemed to act as though she was under order from him. As the golden one spoke again, my eyes cast a glance at the lushious grass underfoot, then i dragged them back up as he finished speaking, my eyes now held none of the happiness that was normally within them, now, they grew cloudy, i cleared my throat, and went in for a reply. Caeser, you must be mistaken, for dear Viva, Faye, and Obsession have left, i have heard no whereabouts of the oldest mare and the colt, but i do beleive dear faye is living in Silent Woods, with a brute named Zarian. I told him, swallowing hard, my throat had gone dry. I'm sorry. I added, locking my gaze onto his. [/sup]

Viva
Viva awoke with a start, her nightmares had increased since she had lived in the Valley. She looked over at her colt and smiled, the reminder of what she was missing. A tear dropped down her cheek and she sniffled the others away. She stood up and shook herself, the summer heating her pelt up instantly. She looked down as Obsession awoke and followed her to graze. Obsession
Sess followed his mother to her favorite place. Older and more wiser, was he. More like his father each day, his mother always said. He snorted as he hoovered up the grass. His eyes lashes flickered as he blinked every now and again. His mothers head darted up which drew his attention back to her. Viva threw her head up as a familiar scent was wafted into the air. It was mixed with another one, more feminine. She snorted and took off towards the smell, her instincts pushing her on. Until, she could see them. A stallion of the same height and looks as Caesar and her current holder, Montè. She stopped as Sess caught up and froze as he recognised someone. he looked up at his mother, frozen with shock...

caesar & ferentina
I listened carefully to Monté’s words with growing fear and desperation, were my darlings gone? Silent Woods sounded like an awful place, and immediately the thought of a rescue mission jumped in my head. I sent the younger male a hard look, why hadn’t he stopped them? I straightened my mature frame and snorted with frustration; I was nearing the ten years and was way more experienced than the still young brute that stood in front of me. Suddenly a familiar scent invaded my sensitive nostrils and I turned my head slightly – only to find Viva and my beautiful son staring at me. Before I could stop myself I let out a happy greeting whinny, but my features soon marred into a frown as they stopped at stared – couldn’t they see who I was? Somewhere I was extremely pleased to see no foal by her side from – I cast a quick glance at Monté – the younger brute, perhaps there was hope yet.
Speaking of Monté I quickly spun around to face him again, my ears falling flat against my powerful neck, the younger male had lied to me! I bared my teeth dangerously and clawed at the ground in a furious gesture.
“If they left, then why are they standing over there?”
I nodded towards the quiet pair that was staring at the three of us. I felt a comforting muzzle touch my hind and I sent a grateful thought to Ferentina, what would I do without her? I left the midnight colored brute and shifted my attention back to my precious pair, slowly I took a few hesitating steps towards them – would they run? Would she attack me? Be angry at me? Desperation and sorrow climbed into my being and my eyes, she looked absolutely beautiful! While I had been gone she hadn’t lost any of her beauty, if anything she had gained more. I moved my sapphire orbs to the young stallion by her side. Black coat – a perfect smaller copy of his beautiful mother, I was surprised he hadn’t wandered off to start on his own yet.
“Viva? Sess?”
I called out in a gentle tone, would they respond or walk away? Were they a hallucination? I took a careful step in their direction, would Monté try to stop me? I could just have come with false statements, would he protect his herd? I felt Ferentina move with me towards the pair, but I turned my head slightly and gave her a stern look to stay where she was, now was not the time, and she backed up slowly with a frown on her pale kissers. Viva sighed as the stallion looked towards her. Her eyes deepened in color and she moved closer, her son watching her move. He didn't know the stallion, yet he traced his memory, to his first one to pick him out. Viva heard him call her name and she gasped, a sharp intake of air. Caesar.....CAESAR! she shouted, her heart thumping and her mind racing. Her legs took off at speed, till she came within speaking distance of him. Sess followed yet stayed behind her. She smiled yet looked at the femme behind him. She switched her look to Caesar, confusion spread on her face. She turned to look at her son and sighed. She used her hind leg to kick him forward slightly. She snorted and looked at Montè, apologetically.

m o n t e ; ; Easy now All of this happened quickly, far too quickly. What was going on? I took a slight step back as Viva and Obsession came into veiw, standing away from me, Caeser and the other mare, whom the cremello had still to introduce. My harks twitched a little as indeed, Viva's scent wafted to my nostrils. Snorting, as Ceaser bared his teeth and flattened his ears, i gave a small rear and flattened my ears also. How dare this brute come into my lands and acuse me of this! I hadn't seen Viva, faye nor obsession for months now, and suddenly they turn up and make me look like a fool infront of these strangers? My pelt twitched slightly, i was upset, how could they do this? I knew the mare was heartbroken because of the sudden dissapearance of Caeser, and i had tried many times to comfort her, but to no avail. I knew she was only residing here until she felt ready to move on, but i never knew how rotten i would feel. Lowering my crown, i shuddered, a sudden coldness blanketing itself over me, Ceaser went forward, and cautioned for the other to stay near me. I felt a little uneasy, sighing softly, i glanced up at the mare, searching for answers, now i looked like a lier, a rotten lier. I left the family to talk for a while, but my nares quivered slightly, and i stepped forward to greet Viva. Viva, I-I where have you been? I thought you went with Faye, I-I thought you had left to start afresh, but now you return, only when this stallion does and I And there, i stopped, i couldn't go on, my throat was dry, and i tried to swallow, backing up, i cast a sad glance at Viva, the turned, and slowly, started to walk away. I couldn't face this, it was my past, replaying, on repeat, forever. [/sup]

I didn’t pay any attention to Monté as he stuttered out an excuse – could I trust him when he said that he didn’t know? Against my will I shifted my orbs and sized him up and down, was he trying to make them feel guilty by talking to me? I shook my head and let the heat ebb away from my blood, not wasn’t the time for fighting over misunderstandings. I took a few steps forward towards the black queen who had haunted my memories for the last years, wasn’t she upset with me at all? I neared her a little again – with extreme caution though, I knew mares could be slightly temperamental; not that I would mind if she beat me up for leaving her without a message.
“I’m sorry for leaving you dear – it was a matter of life and death –“
I turned my head slightly and nodded my head in the direction of Ferentina who watched us with curious eyes.
“Meet Ferentina my younger full-sister, she’s the reason I had to leave”
I explained in a soft yet sad tone, I knew she probably wouldn’t forgive me for choosing my sister over her but – but what? That was the facts, the young palomino mare had been in deep trouble and I had fought the herd’s lead stallion for the right to take her with me – save her from the daily torture he enjoyed spilling on her fragile bodice. I hadn’t gone from the battle without scars – deep scars snaked their way around my golden throat, and I was limping slightly from a still swollen foreleg – but I had won, and we had left immediately.

Crème tresses fell down my slender neck as I gracefully stepped forward, nearing the shocked couple with steady steps. I took in the beauty of the dark mare, and I nodded in approval - I could understand why my brother was so taken with this fae, if only I had been that lucky. My jaw clenched slightly as my brother spoke of my former situation, if it hadn’t been for a loyal ally of mine I would still have been caught with the brutal stallion, feeling his dark desires rain down on me every single day – it was a miracle I hadn’t been impregnated. I stopped by my brother’s side and bowed down slightly to the dark female. “I am forever in your debt for taking good care of my brother fellow valkyrie, if you must be upset with him leaving, please take it out on me – I am the one to blame.”
I spoke out softly for the first time – you could clearly hear where my alliance laid, voice as soft as a feathers touch and held as much grace as the most powerful queen. However I wasn’t arrogant – never, I was the child keeper, the one who looked after the smaller ones and protected them with my life. Slowly I turned around and set in a slow trot to the black stallions side, I couldn’t bear to see his misery and sorrow.
“I would like to stay with you Monté, if you will allow it?”
Emerald eyes shone with different emotions as I awaited the black stallion’s reply.

ava If one of my wishes were to come true then, Just tell me would you, let me sleep by your side?
I still felt an air of ill nature within me, but I wandered around the realm with renewing energy that had been taken away from me from the birth of my little princess, but it was like the exubrince that I had way back when Bryce was still around. The silent mention of my older brother's name made my attitude deflate slightly, but I was back to bounding around in a pure moment of memories. I still remembered when Bryce tricked me into believing that I was a pirate. It actually worked too, until I got frightened by a group of youngsters and returned to my mothers side. Well, so much for that.
Amber eyes sought out a certain someone. I didn't know who, or why, but I was feeling neglected with my persona. Hey, it wasn't everyday that I was like this, and when Monte wasn't around, I was completely and utterly bored. But, that wasn't the point at this moment. Nares suddenly caught the sent of a new, musky stallion. Like the battle-axe that I was- or really, thought I was- I set off in hot pursuit, ignoring my body's silent pleas to slow down and rest. There was some advantage for being a whole hand taller than Monte, at almost 16.3 at the withers, I always felt superior- so contrasted from my normal feelings. Legs stomped forward with the obvious motion of being heard, like the trumpeteers who always have to alert the peasants that the king was coming? It was sort of like that. Until I saw the scene.
I spotted Obsession and Viva, standing next to a palomino brute, and the fleeing sight of Monte. It was a surprise that I was here before my blatantly nosy daughter. Nares vibrated, throat rumbled in a questioning nicker, and then I started forward, neck arching with slight amusement. I remained quiet until I was close enough to see a figure beside the palomino brute. A mare. I blinked my light amber eyes with a slight anger, only flaming when I remembered that Monte was fleeing away, hiding back to the depths of wherever he went. Swallowing back a rusty scream, I flicked thick tresses against my spotted hide and started forward until I was face to face with this stallion- virtually ignoring Viva, and acknowledging Sess with a faint smile; I'd always had a sweet spot for the young diamond. Noting that I was still the beastly tall figure, so thick and draft-like against these Arabian figures, I sighed, and started in a rough speech.
"I must apologize for my partner's behavior."
Wow, way to go Ava! Surprise clearly shone in my orbs when the smaller female, who I wasn't sure of whizzed past me and back towards Monte. Jealous, for the simple fact that I had never shared anything in my life, radars pinned back.
"Anyway, who are you to come in and accuse Monte for lying? Things come and go- you obviously did, as it sounds? So why be angry at him for something he has no control over?"
I felt Bryce's rage boil over my dappled figure for a brief moment. I really didn't know that this palomino buck left.. Perhaps I was blaming Bryce, partly using him as a point for my frustrations. Locking my draft jaw, I remained silent, staring at the bucks blue eyes with sizzling amber eyes.
ooc; need to post something, since i have no muse for anyone else. hope ya don't mind.

Viva watched both stallions with wide eyes, swapping between him and his sister. Viva looked down at Sess and smiled. She knew that family counted to him. She looked back up and sighed. She looked over him and shook her head. Your a mess... was all she could say. Her eyes scanned the deep thoated cuts meant to snap and kill the stallion. She looked down as a tear run down her cheek and dripped onto the floor. She looked away as Ava arrived and made it all that worse for back-chatting. She shook her head again and looked round. Oh Ava, just leave us and keep this happy moment from being terrorised! she said, not very happy, yet more snappish.

Shut your eyes As the creme eyed me, my harks twisted backwards, my eyes grew wide. How dare he think i would lie. A curse, lieing, and i would never do it. As he spoke to Viva, i listened, harks coming forward slightly, and eventually, he introduced his fellow accomplise. I glanced across at her, smiling slightly. I dipped my crown to show her respect, then turned back towards the crowd. Ah, so Caeser had left Viva and his son to save his sister, a tough choice, however nessecery. As the mare spoke, i was taken with her soft delicate tone, again, i found my dark, almost black eyes tracing over her again, she took the blame, acting as if it were her own fault Caeser had had to leave his family. Snorting softly, i sidestepped to her side and gently touched her right shoulder, withdrawing incase she disliked my sudden actions. However, as she sidled to my side and spoke, i felt warm again, her words made me light up. Prehaps this time, things would work out, i hadn't been lucky with msking new friends and getting mares to stay in my realm. Of course Ferentina. You are more than welcome to stay with me, i am glad. I spoke with pride in my voice, the golden mare stood by my side. In the background, the sound of hooves hitting the ground became louder, it could be no other, it was Ava! Turning my head as she appriched and nickered. I replied, my nares quivering a reply. I smiled at her, but she marched right past, ignoring viva, and talking to Caeser. A confused look came upon my face as she spoke. Apologise? What for? i hadn't done anything wrong! Snorting, i quickly stepped forward to grab at Ava's tail and tug gently. I think your mistaken Ava darling. Caeser came here looknig for Viva and Obsession, who, are actually still here, would you beleive it. There is no need to apologise. I stepped back to Ferentina again, giving ava some space. However, as she spoke again, i wished i had kept quiet, for now, she seemed to have realised. Ah, you tell him ava. I smiled at the spotted mare, she simply towered over the creme. I nudged at Ferentina, and then waited for some other reaction from anyone. It was Viva who piped up, and at her words, i stepped forward, to Ava's side, my harks back, and scowled a little, then spoke, my tone musky, however, it held that slight hint of anger in it. Viva, i do beleive Ava has every right to be here, she, unlike some, are part of this herd, do not tell her to leave, for it is you, your son, and your partner who must go now. Then i was quiet, my tail flicked a little, but then i was still, stood next to Ava and Ferentina.
