You could spill a thousand words and none would mean a thing...
The dark chestnut entered the realm at a three beat pace, his hooves making deep imprints in the ground, for once rain had fallen the night before, and the ground was sodden and slippy. However, Chaos still held a fine grip on the ground, his hooves not slipping from where he placed them. Coming to a sliding stop in the centre of the lands, near the waterfall, he spun his body around 180 degrees and flung his head high into the air. Vocals piercing through the darkening sky Those mares who think themselves worthy of a place in my herd, come to me now. he roared, his voice, disrupted by no other, echoed for miles. He snorted loudly, and lowered his head to take a drink from the pool beside him.

"Why, Shinobi?" A figure charged through the night. Only the white of her patched pelt was visible. The frost of her pelt seemed to float in the darkness like wandering ghosts. "Why? Tell me why, Shinobi" No, the voices. They were back again. "Why?" There was only one voice at first. One familiar, taunting her. Pulling her down deeper into the fearful black pool. "WHY? WHY?" The black pool welcomed her, wrapping its fingers around her in an iron hard grip.
Winter was just beginning to enter the land. Already, the wind was frigid with its breath. I could feel my pistons propelling me forward but they were so distant, like the were detached from my body. I wasn't aware of any of the sounds around me. Not the rustle in the distant undergrowth. Not the constant melody of the waterfall. Not the gentle gurgling of the river. I just focused on getting away from them. They were still in my head. I fought to force them out but they clung like a foal to its mother. I was slightly away of the bellow of a stag but paid it no heed. It wasn't till his rancid scent was strong in my nostrils did my mad gallop stop.
She was breathing hard, sweat gleamed on her pelt. She stood as still as possible, sides heaving, trying to find a sufficent way to get out. But those damned voices wouldn't leave her alone. The obsidian had already constricted her in its grip and she could feel the depressing sorrow well up in the pit of her heart. Taking an unsure step backward, she steped on a branch. Muscles instantly froze and coiled, ready to spring.
A night sky full of Cries Hearts filled with lies A soul pledged to the darkness Now I've lost it I know I can kill...

A strong scent reached the dark chestnuts nostrils, they quivered slightly, and he snorted loudly. Dipping his dished dia to the ground and snorting into the pines below him, they still held frost, from the night before, however, it was slowly melting away and the stallion could feel the ground underfoot becoming slightly more light and spongey. There was no mistaking it, his call had reached another, a mare. He stepped off the small rock he was perched on and slowly walked to where he had heard a twig snap; in the silence of the falls, it was unmistakable. He peered around the corner, his nostrils picking up an even stronger scent, he spotted her Boo.... he stepped lightly between the sheltering trees until he reached her hind before speaking yet again I am Chaos, leader to be of the great Hollow Woods. he spoke in a very stern tone, his harks turned backwards slightly, but not in their usual 'pinned to the skull' position. And you are? again, his voice was powering, deep and slightly velvety. He spoke with kindness to mares, but that tone was lost with all brutes. He had no respect for any other stallion, unless, prehaps, they were his foals.

Her brain failed to immediatly decide on a decision as the hoofbeats got louder. In that second, time seemed to freeze around her and for the first time, Shinobi seemed take a look around her for the first time. Audits flickered idly as they encountered the sound of rushing water, running againtst the freezing fingers of winter. Moving her gaze to the ground, she noted several spots where the mud had frozen over during the night. The withered and brown undergrowth was covered in a thin layer of crystalized frost that had settled delicately on top of it. The bare earthen branches of the trees were bare. In the season before, they had fallen like tears in a final farewell to the warm, bright days and temerate nights. The harsh wind that blew through them rattled the barren branches, making them seem to echo a grim, raspy laugh.
The hoofbeats were getting louder now. Shinobi, broken from her trance, glanced wildly around for a sign of the oncoming brute. The sounds were closing in on her, forming an invisible but very solid wall that was starting to make her claustrophobic. The scent in her nares was even stronger still, and starting to burn. Glancing up, she could see the faint sihouette of the brujo. His muscular carcass moved forward towards her with liquid steps.
My eyes widened, the brute seemed so familiar, like a ghost from my darkest nightmares. I barely heard his words, my mind was set on taking flight. Taking a few steps back, I was ready to turn tail, only, I couldn't take my eyes off the one that called himself Chaos. The brute was so like...like....him. The terrain started changing again. No, not now. I fought against myself. Fought for control. But as usual, it didn't work. The scene before me turned into a barren desert. The reddish rocks that jutted out of the ground cast ominous shadows. The brute before me had changed too. I noticed with horror that his carcass was decayed and he reeked of death. His blood stained ribs were encasing organs that threatened to drop to the ground at any given moment. My orbs traveled to his face where his eyes were nothing more than the hollows in which they once sat in. But the bottomless pits stared at me with accuation. I knew what was coming next. As much as I tried to shut out all sound, I could hear his voice loud in clear, "Why Shinobi?"
I shook my head, clearing the hallucination. Though feeling a bit dizzy, I wheeled around and started away at full gallop. But what good would that do? The brute was probably a good bit faster than I. As useless as it was, I needed to get away. Far, far away.

Chaos licked his lips, this fae was terrified of him, this was the second in a week. Jesus...i'm not that bad. he cackled quietly Then again...maybe I am He stepped forward when the mare didn't speak, she stepped backward, away from him. Dark eyes narrowed into small slits, and his harks remained plastered to his skull. Speak when your spoken to, wench. he spat at her, pounding his hooves deep into the frozen dirt underfoot, the ground was slippy, not the kind you'd want to be running in. She had taken flight, Chaos roared loudly, launching back into a small rear, he pushed forward off his hinds and set of at a gallop, followin the mare, she oculdn't outrun him, no way, Winding whipped around his body, closing in on ihm, making his gain a faster speed, nares sucked in fresh, harsh air making them wide. He shook his head into the sky You can run... he bellowed, lyrics screaming across with the wind But you can't hide he finished off. Now concentraing on catching up with the bitch. He focused his eyes on her body, he was nearing her, and not tiring yet, but was she?

Shinobi could hear his loud hoofbeats coming after her. Getting closer, louder. She wanted to scream but no sound came from her throat. She barely heard his vocals, focusing herself on escape and escape alone. But even the forest was against her. Wildly galloping, she failed to notice a vine that lay in her way. Her hoof tangled with it and she stumbled. A small cry was emitted from her maw, silently cursing at the whole stinking world.
I felt pain shoot up my leg, then falling. I was falling as if the ground opened up and swallowed me. But that was not true. It was but a short fall to the ground magnified by my demented mind. I could still hear his cursed hoofbeats ringing in my ears. I turned my head and attempted to get up. It was no use running now. I could slowly feel the red seeping into my bloodstream, tainting my mind. But what good did that do but to provoke him to attack me? I was as good as dead. Limping, I turned my body 180 degrees to meet the stag coming out of the brushes, the red in my head mounting and creating a fury. A newly born fire that refused to be quelled by water. A fire that longed to leave destruction in its path.

Chaos slowed in time to miss her falling body. The trip looked harsh, but he merely grinned. See, if you hadn't been so stupid, this wouldn't of happened. Would it? he spat, leaning over her, clakcing his teeth just over her poll. He was beggining to loose his temper with this foolish bitch. He stepped backwards a few strides then began to circle her. Now, i'l ask you once again, Who are you? he was thinking of taking this mare wether she liked it or not, another slave added to the herd, how lovely. He brought himself back 'round to her front once again, and lowered his head, waiting for her to speak.
