Trotting into these unfamiliar grounds, the young mare began to look for a quite place she could have to herself. Her eyes frantically searching the earth before her, a patch of timber to her left, a quite pool to her right, and open grass land straight ahead.
Which will she choose? How soon does she want to be noticed? Does she want to be found at all?
Picking up her pace again, her hooves fell to the ground with a startling thud, taking her off guard at first but once again becoming accustomed to the sounds beneath her carcass. Her deep orbs began to lead her bodice toward the timber, toward shelter. Her auds flicked carefully back and forth picking up every wisp of wind. They perked forward, toward the timber, and heard a crunch of the branches, her hoof beats ceased, tail flicked at the blood sucking insects gnawing through her hide. Orbs once again pierced the earth toward the timber reassuring herself of the sounds, there was nothing. Legs again began to move beneath her, uneasy at first but becoming stead once again. Her long journey has taken a toll upon her, her nares flexed open taking in the new and unfamiliar scents of this land. Her mane, normally falling on both sides of her nape, but the breeze has lifted it only to the left side, revealing her scars from her father. With a sense of being revealed, she quickly lowered her muzzle to the earth nipping a blade of grass and shook her entire frame, a technique she has taught herself, this forced the mane back to its usual proportions, covering her scars.
Becoming ever closer to the timber before her, her legs slowed to an uneasy walk, her eyes searched but found could not find danger close enough to make her weary. Her auds continuously flicking forward and back, they were unable to detect any true sounds, only her own thoughts buzzed in her mind. Finding a heavily shaded region she parked her carcass and lowered her poll, her muzzle only inches from the dirt beneath her. She relaxed, the most one could in this situation, her eyes tired began to blink heavily. She rested only moments before being startled by unknown noises. She perked her auds and focused her orbs, nothing. Only a dream.

Will the shadow shifter find his match?
Now that he had claimed his very own land the dappled grey demon found that his terra was fit for only the truest darks, and that is only what he would accept. Traveling threw the shadows and thickly settled trees, the brute went on undetected, and when a noise was made by his pillars his carcass seemed to disappear seamlessly. As his nares widened for an intake of breath, he caught the scent of a fae, so he followed her enticing scent.
Orbs followed her white bodice, Arabian stature moved flawlessly over the terrain bellow. She was an attractive mare, and the brutes instincts kicked in. The pro-suite was on and he was going to have this mare, if it killed him.
The fae was on edge, at every slight noise she would focus on the spot in which it came from and seek out anything around the area. These actions made it very difficult for the stallion to follow the mare undetected, he narrowly escaped her view each time.
As the crystal physique neared the piece of timber, her body was unable to fight back her weariness, and to his surprise the stallion was not thrown off by the weakness she showed. He stopped suddenly.
Why am I so determined to get this one mare when I have so many others that I could easily have?
When she showed her weariness why did it draw me to her more?
Shaking his head the stallion came out of his thoughts. When he looked up to find the mare she was laying down near the timber in a shaded area. Not wanting to startle her the brute approached her and nickered softly. Banner was held high and boa was arched in a way only a pure blooded Arabian could. The dappled carcass stopped a few feet from the sleeping dutchess, so that she would not fell that she was violated when her guard was down.
When his vocals reached her, the fae awoke right away and looked around. A look of relief crossed her beautiful face, had she thought she was dreaming?
Once again the stallion nickered hoping this time, that the fae would look at him. To his surprise the stallion did not feel the way he did with all other fae's when he approached them. For some reason he cared about her, something that he had never done before.

With you, these streets are heaven.
It had been a long time since the ghostly figure had bothered to come here. It hadn't been a personal choice; a lot had happened since the Fall. And yet, I was down one mare and up two foals; one, whom was an angel, and one who was infatuated with my enemy's daughter. The heiress, to be correct. Life, was ultimately a burden, in some ways.
Sought out for another companion, I strode into the Falls back entrance, where I normally went. The hazy air, clouded with such humidity to make one sweat instantly was wasted on me. If anything, it made my dappled coat glisten brighter. Inky tassels swayed with my long neck, until I reached a patch of trails, where a direct wind pushed them away, making them fly like a banner. I paused, looking towards the neglected trail that led to the waterfall's peak. I wanted so badly to go there and look down on the others, to search out the good from the bad, but I'd be wasting time. Perhaps another day.
Slowing my sure-footed steps, I looked into the realm to find a few plain looking mares, with foals at their side. Some I recognized, some I didn't... It, really didn't matter to me. I instead looked around again, watching a rather fatigued mare rest underneath a thick area of trees. I snorted inquisitively, and flared my nostrils, like I wasn't sure about going over there, but, being the good guy that I am, I took two hesitant steps, and then bounded into a relaxed jog, closing in the distance between myself and the alabaster hued mare. I slowed, seeing her crown drop to the dirt below her thin legs. I watched, so intently, that she almost frightened me when her eyes snapped open to an imaginary... force? Who knew. Releasing a nicker to aware her of my being, I spoke, my words working in a tone that was nearly unreadable. Sure, I was interested, but I had been fooled into believing things, a lot. Period. Even when another stallion had approached, whom I hadn't noticed before, I continued in a steady tone, soothing words being emitted from a pink rimmed muzzle.
"Hello there. I'm Riku, from Black Lake."
I didn't demand any words from her, like some could do, and I certainly didn't demand her to do anything physically. For all she might know, I was looking to find another friend, but I had been wrong. Maybe she was doing secret work for some other group of equine... Or maybe I just had an over-active sense of imagination.

FALIN
Ears flick, orbs open, heart races, flesh twitches, they have arrived. Her eyes flash about the stags before her carcass, her ears are fixed forward, listening for what they might have to say.
Did they really want her? What was so special about her? Would she even go at all?
She lifts her poll high, stretching her whole frame in the process, her tail wisps from one side to the other revealing blood stains from the blood hungry insects. She keeps her orbs focused on the two before her, she became uneasy in their presence. She allows her ears to be watchful, always twitching about her, a noise. Could it be real? Was it just her imagination? Nothing. Her flesh trembled when her ears picked up the nicker from one of the stags. Her maw parted slightly, almost revealing her teeth, she would be ready. Her nostrils flared, the scent was so close. There was another approaching them. She took a step back her hoof landing on a twig. SNAP. Her entire bodice shuddered, her mouth opened in defense, but it was only a twig, nothing more. Moving her carcass back once more, she was now able to focus more clearly upon the two. The second who arrived introduced himself, Riku, her eyes immediately flashed over his frame, his steel coat almost shimmered before her. Auds parted, she kept one fixed upon the stags, the other listening for the noises.
She once again parted her maw, vocals rang out between her teeth, her voice was quite and almost sweet sounding. "Hello, I am Falin." Maw closed, tounge licked the sounds from her muzzle. It had been a long time since she spoke aloud. Her eyes peered around the stags, waiting for something. She was unsure of what would be next, she did not know the temper of either stag how will they act in each others presence? She would be ready for anything. Her hoof raised and lowerd with a harsh thud, the insects fed upon her flesh.

Now home, feels so foreign.
The alabaster female seemed genuinely scared. She did a great job of masking it, her mouth gaped open as the identical stallion and I approached. I didn't recoil in surprise; something told me that I could expect that from one who was dreaming. With dreams come nightmares. Even I knew that. When the stallion next to me didn't speak, scanning the mare, I blinked my bright, sapphire tinted eyes, and drew in a faint breath, so quietly. My crown shook, side to side slowly, long, flowing tassels covering my vision of the alabaster beauty. It didn't matter so; my mind had already captured the mare's figure, the details about her, none which troubled me.
When the mare stepped back, I copied her movement, allowing her more space to release that pressured feeling. A faint smile creased my soft lips, my eyes searching her's, almost as if I could just calm her with my gaze. I probably couldn't, but the look that I portrayed, thought ghastly, was calming. I released a light sigh, and listened to the beauty speak. Falin. My mind repeated in many times, my eyes growing thoughtful, and I remained quiet for a long time. Maybe too long. When I finally focused again, I forgot about the identical beast beside me. Sapphire tinted eyes sought out a familiarity in him, but I found none. He must've been around somewhere. I snorted, and looked back at Falin, the faint smile still resting on my dappled features.
"Pleasure to meet you."
My voice faded off slightly as she looked around us. My auduals, so finely tuned and sculpted, tipped back curiously, twitching to absorb the sounds around us. The falls blurred everything, but I stared at the peak, my lips twitched from a good memory, then I looked back at Falin's alabaster frame. My eyes were rippled with concern as I spoke to her quietly-not caring if this stud heard, it included him too.
"Is something worrying you, Falin? Is it us?"
I questioned her, my neck stretching out, not realizing that I had tensed it from holding my breath. I released that breath, and smiled to relax myself and her.

Will the shadow shifter find his match? Or will she choose another?
Hearing the sound of approaching hoofs the brute raised his boa as his orbs caught the sight of another stallion. His pelt was the same as Yarrman’s and his approach was not threatening, so the dappled one remand relaxed, but ready incase the new arrival’s temperament changed. Immediately, the brute introduced him self as Riku, a brute from Black Lake. The stallion had not yet, crossed paths with Riku and so he was just as unsure to how Riku would act as was Falin.
Falin was scared, and as Riku took a step back so did Yarraman. Their movements where exact, and the pairs intentions seemed to be the same, to get to know Falin, and to not cause her harm.
Well, Falin, My name seems to be the only one here that is unknown. I am Yarraman, King of Taunting Marshes.
Sensing that Falin was still uneasy Yarraman parted his maw to speak but, Riku beat him to it. He had to agree with the brute the presence of two strange stallions did seem to be the source of the ivory mares troubles.
I can assure you Falin, that my intentions here, are not to harm you. I am just here to get to know you.
Vocals where soft and held a tone of caring, the tone in which Yarraman had just spoken where the lightest sounding words that had ever come from the beast.

FALIN
The fae looked at the stags with an exciting interest, her auds perked forward listening intently to what they had to say. Her orbs continuously scanning their dappled hide.
They really were trying to please her..
It had been such a long time since the company of another equine, she honestly was unsure of how to present herself around the stags. Her eyes kept a close watch on their every move, her nostrils took the air deep into her lungs, the scent was so strong so quickly released the air back into the atmosphere. Yarraman. The name echoed in her skull, she gently shook her head to rid the name from her mind. She took a step forward, feeling a sense of curiosity rush through her veins, she paused only steps from the stags. Her tail wisped from left to right, almost flirtatiously, she turned her poll slightly only allowing one orb to be visible by the stags. She turned her frame to match her head, now horizontal to the brutes, she flipped her tail slightly, cocked her head, raised her hooves and friskily trotted in a circle. She was once again facing the stags, she lowered her maw to the earth, she let out her breath, the dirt swarming around her muzzle, she nipped at it playfully, her orbs glance up at the stags to see the expression upon their face.
What brings you here?
The sounds of her voice caught herself off guard, she didn't think she was going to say that aloud. Realizing she needed to think fast, she raised her poll now eye level with the brutes, she peered through her orbs at the stags. Her words were not directed toward either stag but her words were meant to see who would stand out, who would take charge, who really knew why they were here. She stomped her hoof ridding the insects from her leg, she kept her auds intent on the two, awaiting a response.

He is possessed by the way of the darks.
Lamps stayed on Falin as her physique changed from a shy uncertain maiden to a confident and flirtatious one. Yarraman would have to be sure to please her, like he would on any other meeting, but more so now that Riku was here. A smile played across his maw as her pillars carried her in a trotted circle.
Her porcelain coat was captivating, Yarraman had many femme pass threw his life but Falin was one of the most stunning he had seen. But what was this beauty like on the inside? Who was she? For the first time in his life the dappled stallion wanted to know everything about another equine. What was so special about her? Why did this one by the name of Falin make his heart race?
Shaking his skull, Yarraman came back to reality. Falin was now playing with the sweet grass that was below his own daggers. Her sweet voice reached his thorns and he mulled them over in his head. Looking back to Falin he could see that she was surprised that the words had come out, but she hid it well by turning them into a test for himself and Riku. Yarraman was determined to pass, and beat Riku in the process.
Dappled coat took an large intake of breath as a slight breeze traveled over him, causing his tassels to blow slightly. It was getting later and the temperature was slowly declining, as dusk approached. Who would she be going home with? Yarraman hoped beyond everything that Falin chose his herd to come to, that she chose him over Riku.
I am here, Falin to just, get to know you. And after that is done to take you home with me. If you so chose to join me.
Yarraman spoke in yet again a soft and welcoming tone, he did not want Falin to feel pressured into anything, he wanted her to feel comfortable. But, he could not hide his dark undertones for, it was the voice that he had always possessed.

They told me I was mistaken, infatuated, but I was afraid to trust my hunches.
My eyes remained knowing as Falin made a complete turn around. The hesitant stature left the light tinted female, and she now blossomed into something that seemed much more natural. I saw the faint signs that she made; her tresses flicked to each side a few times, her dished crown tipped to one side, showing only one eye in a mysterious manner. Then she pushed off the ground, and made a sweeping circle, trotting around before the dappled bodies that belonged to Yarraman and I. The sight of Falin relaxing, and letting her gaurd down made me smile widely, and make a small chuckling noise. It almost made me want to join in and play with her, but I was supposed to be mature. Still, my crown shook in a playful demeanor, and then I listened.
The feeling of my heart following the rythmn of Falin's trotting pace was unnatural. It was a two beated motion, and it grew louder, faster, harder, until I was certain that Falin could hear. It wouldn't really matter. I was usually never bashful around many mares, but Falin of course, was one of a kind. A small breath escaped me in a relaxing manner, and then I grinned, auduals flicking forward to catch Falin's lyrics. She made one small movement though, making me laugh out loud before I could catch it and hold it in. Her crown lowered, so finely sculpted and gleaming, she blew out a breath, causing a layer of fine dust to rise from the otherwise green ground. She snapped at it, and when I laughed, my blue-tinted eyes widened in surprise. Such a change was made!
Everything was silent until Falin spoke out. Her tone was almost challenging, it reminded me so much of my friends. It was a simple enough question, "What brings you here?" I didn't want to appear surprised, because I wasn't, but I looked towards Yarraman as he spoke. I allowed him to, and when he finished, I looked straight at Falin, the smile still resting faintly on my lips as I began to speak.
"Well Falin, if you knew me prior to this, you'd have known that I have no other intentions than to get to know you. I do have a home. My home, and my heart are big enough to fit another friend, or maybe a love, in. I hope that you'd be it."

FALIN
The femme raised her orbs even to the stags speaking before her. Her auds were perked forward, she listened patiently for each to finish before she would take her turn.
They wanted to get to know her? How much of her would she reveal upon just meeting them?
Once the last of the words had reached her auds, she began to think of what she would say in return. Her tail flicked from left to right once more, the insects had pierced her white flesh. She raised and lowered her right hoof ridding the pests from her leg. A slight breeze threw her mane to the left side once more, she lowered her muzzle low to the earth and shook her frame, her mane now fell on either side once more. Lifting her head back to normal she was able to gaze upon the stags. They were handsome. Each having a dappled coat, but how different were they? How did they live in their own lands? What did they want to bring her home for? Did she want to be a friend or possibly a love?
She parted her maw, prepairing her vocals for speech her teeth were just becoming visible when her auds twitched and a sound was heard behind her. The femme turned her orbs in the direction but saw nothing. She returned to her previous stature, looking at each of the stags, she took a step forward. She was almost nose to nose with them. She could feel the heat from their bodies, as it was now becoming nightfall and the temperature was declining. She was now curious of how close she could get. She wanted to test her limits. Eyes widened with excitement as only she knew what might come next, she drew a deep breath, the scent of the brutes was now almost familiar. She kept each aud focused on a brute when her legs began to move beneath her, her petite carcass began to glide between the stags. Her tail in a continuous wave motion, she felt herself touch each stag. She picked up a playful trot once more, she was so full of energy and excitement, she could not remember the last time someone had focused on her. She parked her bodice behind the stags, now facing their rumps, she parted her maw and began to speak. “What do you need to know about me?”She began to shift her weight, cocking her left rear to rest. She parted her maw once more and began to speak.“I know your intentions with me, but why should I choose one over the other?”She felt it was fair for her to ask such questions, for she was becoming tired of her current surroundings. Orbs focused, waiting for a reply. Her auds continuously flicked searching for a sound.

Now I am ready.
I still couldn't get over the change in the picture perfect mare. Her facade, dished like the normal heritage or an arabian, lit up brightly when she spoke, so different from when they first approached. At last, I was glad that Falin was finally comfortable around us; me and Yarraman. She took on a totally different demeanor, so playful, so joyful. Her excitement was quite contagious: I found myself wanting to lift my limbs, and prance alongside her, as if I were still a young tyke. That didn't stop me from tossing my head playfully, blue-green tinted eyes sparkling.
But of course, it probably wasn't easy for Falin. The position that she was put in was a tough one; Yarraman and I both lived in dark lands, we both wore a dappled coat, adn we both had the same intentions. How would she be able to distinguish who she wanted and why she wanted them? Such a tough choice. But Falin was handling it well enough. Her coat, with not a blemish on it, shined brightly, shivering when a few insects chose her to feast on. I smiled, and nodded to myself quietly. She had these small antics that made her normal; likeable, to a sort. She didn't hold a sadistic attitude like so many would, but her attitude was rather free for someone in this deal. It made me grown even more infatuated to her. It was maddening, that I couldn't take her home to the lake right now. But I was a gentleman, and I had to wait, even if it killed me to.
I had grown used to Falin's random moments of defense. Her auduals twitched; as did mine, and she looked behind her pearly frame. I also looked, my blue-green pools searching out the scenery behind her. I saw nothing, and apparently, neither did Falin, because her finely sculpted crown tipped back towards Yarraman and I, smiling. Her long limbs took a step forward towards the two dappled males. I didn't move towards her, but my crown raised, neck arching forward in a motion that only those of the purest arabian heritage could pull off. I was one of those few. This new-found curiousity was amazing. My nares widened, releasing a small breath as she moved forward yet again, her pearly body gliding in between that of Yarraman and I. Again, I stayed still, but as she passed, tresses swinging daintily, my arched crest bent slightly, and I bumped her withers as she trotted by. Then I drew back, a playful smile creasing my facade.
Then she spoke. Her melodious voice floated out to my auduals, a simple question. It was often a deal breaker. Ask too little, ask too much, either way, it can be bad. So instead, I took a different route, and when she finished, I processed one thought, and then spoke, my gentle voice taking on a smoother swag to it.
"Falin, I'll listen to whatever you want to share with me. We all have a past, some not very ideal, but it's how you feel about it that's important. So, tell me whatever you'd like. I won't wrench info from you."
My reply was sort of brisk, because I started to think about her next statement. It was an unusual question none the less, but I could understand her point. Why would she have to choose between the two of us? It wasn't really fair on her part, so I tried to make it easier for her.
"You really shouldn't have to choose between the two of us. You can't compare two stallions against each other, unless you're begging for a fight. So, all I can really say is just to trust yourself, and hope for the best."
With that, I finished speaking, and grew quiet, stretching a fore limb, pawing it on the lush ground.

FALIN The fem stood before the two brutes, her auds listened intently for the two to take their turns and speak. Her auds only detected one voice, the voice.
Her mind began to race. Her heart fluttered. It was unlike any emotion she had ever felt before. She peered out at him.
The white bodice stepped forward, she did not know the way home, but she did know who she would follow. She took another look at the stags before her, each wanting only to make her comfortable, make her welcome, make her want to follow him home. Her tail wisped left to right, her mane rustled in the slight breeze. The moon had rose into the sky now, stars just becoming visible, it was now dark. Her frame stood out well at night, she knew she would need to make her choice verbal soon, she feared the dark. Her orbs now became frantic, she looked all around her, her auds twitched in a frenzy to find it. She began to step cautiously from side to side, her maw quivered, her muzzle dropped low to the earth, her nostrils took in a deep breath. She exhaled, lifted her orbs to the level of the stags, clearing her vocals she began. “Yarraman, you seem to posses all the qualities any mare would seek. I how ever do not wish to be treated as any mare.”She stepped to him and with a slight lowering of her head, dismissed him. She turned towards, him. Her heart began to beat so loud she was certain he could her it. She approached his bodice; facing each other she began to use her vocals once more. “Riku, I have weighed my options, you and Yarraman posses similar qualities, however I believe you may be able to relate to me easier.” She stepped back and paused for she did not know the path home, she stood in the empty darkness, her bodice trembled. She wanted to go home.
