Dark calculating orbs were locked on the ground beneath me while my sensitive ears scanned the nearby bushes for any sound. This demoness wasn’t taking any chance, I wanted to make sure that absolutely no other sounds than the silent hoof beats of me and my brave son were heard. I glanced at my son shortly, he had grown tall over the last couple of weeks – his sire would be proud, as if hearing my thoughts he lifted his curious gaze to meet mine and a small smile appeared on his lips as he whinnied. That was a mistake on his part, I’ve taught my son since he was born to never show his emotions, if he let his guard down here – in the middle of no-where – he could lose his focus and something was free to attack him, to punish him my sharp fangs reached out and grabbed his hide – hard. I was however surprised, he didn’t make a sound then, I had expected him to whine like a little bitch, but he kept his mouth shut – in reward I licked the bleeding wound my fangs had caused mere seconds before.
I stopped, this would be the perfect spot to find myself a new stallion – a ‘step’ dad for my little boy and fresh blood to mate with. I turned my dark eyes to Serpent and nodded “We will stay here for now – see to your wound and promise me you’ll never let your guard down like that again, had a wolf been nearby he would not have hesitated to go for you” I lectured him in a cold tone, I did like my colt and was protective of him – but if he had gotten himself eaten by being stupid, I would not mourn his death. “This is a cold world Serpent – never ever get too comfortable anywhere” to prove my point I snapped her long fangs at him – and was pleased to see him jump back before my teeth could reach his thin skin “Good, now feed” I commanded.
The little colt reached out and grabbed on, he knew now was the time to feed – and drink as much as possible, his mother let him drink as much as he needed, but it was only to keep him strong and healthy.

C H A O S You could spill a thousand words and none would mean a thing...
Chaos's steps were lighth and short, he stopped at a nearby rock, orbs glazing the lands infront of him, his dished dial was cocked slightly to the left, his senses picked up the scent of a loner mare, and a foal. A smirk curled across his features. perfect Moving up into a trot, he turned the winding pathways to Dekera Falls, a shrill whinny was released from a youngster, he spotted them up ahead, the mare, mother, nipped at her son, he bled, ahha, a dark one, even better. He watched them a while before stepping forwards out of the trees and walking up to the pair. 'lo wench, I be Chaos, great leader of Hollow Woods. he paused, and looked down at the colt, eyes narrowed. He did not like to see colts that wern't his own.

I lifted my narrow head and tensed – light soft hoof beats which would be invisible to the untrained ear were approaching. Taking in a deep breath I caught the musky and rough scent of a stallion so I was in luck eh? Quickly I turned towards the path I knew he would emerge from in a couple of seconds – ripping my teats out of Serpents grab with a ‘pop’. He didn’t let me down, seconds later a chestnut – Arabian – stallion walked gracefully out of the bushes. I was happily surprised to meet another Arabian stallion, which would mean my proud lines would be kept pure – for now. I battered my long eye lashes and smiled seducing “Pleasure to meet you, I’m Lakita and” I sent my son a short glance “That is Serpent”. I didn’t miss his look at my little colt and I sent him a death glare “Touch him and you’ll regret ever doing so” I threatened in a cold tone “You can throw him out when he’s old enough – but not a minute before that” I continued in the same tone. I raised my long ears yet again and the seducing smile fell in place again “So, what brought you to these lands?” I asked curious.
The black colt was ready when the teats got ripped out of his mouth – he had sensed another was approaching on his dams acting and was now staring at the brute with dead cold eyes. Slowly Serpent stepped forward with narrowed eyes “I may be a young, but I’m smarter than you think brute “ Serpent hissed in a snake-like tone.

Chaos listened to her words You can kick him out when he's old enough surely, that ment she was asking for a home with him? Muzzle creased into a smirk, and he licked his lips. Aye, a pleasure it is, Lakita. She also spoke of her colt. I wouldn't dream of it. He spoke sharply, oh yes, he would dream, but dreams couldn't become reality, darn it. The dark chestnut flicked his cord sharply, causing a whipping sound to crack through the air around them. What was this? A small colt, talking to such a big stallion in such a manner? Dear dear, this one needed to learn a lesson or two. Jumping forward, chaos extended his neck and clacked his teeth near the colt. It's Chaos to you. he spat, clacking his teeth again Speak when your spoken too, or don't speak at all. Your lucky your mother is such a charmer, if not, i would of killed you by now. He snarled. Stepping back and snorting. So, Lakita, do you and dear Spartan require a home? If so, come with me, back to my lands.

I snickered at Chaos, so I had caught myself a good stallion eh? When Serpent stepped forward I could have banged my head against a wall – insolent boy! – my eyes narrowed in anger and I was pleased to see Chaos teach him a lesson. “Serpent you foolish colt, he could finish you off in a second if he wanted” I spoke with fury clear in my voice “And you’re supposed to be my spawn? You disappoint me” I locked gave him a rough push and he tumbled forward. My dark orbs sought out Chaos and I sent him a smirk “He’ll learn in time, he hasn’t been around stallions before and needs to learn his place” I apologized in a calm tone. I let out a dramatic sigh “Oh yes if it isn’t too much for a humble lady like me to ask” I spoke in a teasing tone.
The tiny colt was boiling with fury; he felt wrongly treated and sent a glare in his mothers and the brute’s way. Suddenly a heard muzzle pushed him forward and he almost stumbled into Chaos – black orbs sought out his mothers and he realized no help would come from her, he would have to learn respect or be punished. A grim expression settled on Serpents muzzle “Yes sir, I am sorry it will not happen again” he said with lowered head, however inside his head thoughts of killing Chaos were spinning around.

... Omoidase ba haruka haruka.
So I finally ventured out of the lands. Wait, I didn't have lands. I still wandered. First in one place, then in a next terrain. I could be called a nomad, a wanderer, so on and so on. I didn't need to settle down too fast. They would be here to see me soon, I think. But, while I was here, for however long I was here, I can find some company. I guess. Oh boy, having to compete with other stallions for a mare? That did no one justice. Things were so different outside of Destiny Islands. But, I couldn't complain. I wanted to get out, and so now I was out. The way I wanted to go was a little messed up though. Oh well, I have to make due with what I've got, and try to get things that I don't have. So, off I go then, right Sora? Kairi? They didn't speak to me, but I could feel their warmth.
My blue-green tinted eyes remained solemn as I wandered through the terrain. I could see a few mares, a few stallions, and one foal. What? Only one? That was odd. So, I needed to be the odd one too, and go say hi. Upon arriving at the pair, my steel tinted legs twitched, shaking off a few spring flies. Another bad thing here. Flies and the heat were bad. Ah well. Good lord, why did I always run into him? Chaos. I met him days ago in Zukura Brooks. He was an arrogant little snot, so that brought out an old Riku side. Ah well, we could all use a little temper sometimes. I just had to use it to my advantage, and make sure that they were okay with it. My eyes went from Chaos to the two equine, next to each other. The mother of the colt was so cruel to her kid. Respect was good, yes, but there was a fine line between good and bad, and she just stomped on the line. The colt, an iron black child, not very old stood beside her, glaring at Chaos as if he were scum. Hey, that was two things we had in common.
"Hello. I'm Riku."
I was calm, but I looked at the mare. She might have been too intertwined in showing off to Chaos to notice me, let it be like that then. Hmm, I was fine without her. "Hey Riku, doesn't the kid remind you of Axel?" What? Shut up Sora. "He seems like Axel, doesn't he? C'mon, he has that attitude. Even if Axel was with the Organization, he wasn't bad." Fine, you're right Sora. I only met Axel once, when he was with her. He was also leaving. Oops, I was rambling a little. Back to the present, I looked at the brawny black colt. A corner of my mouth lifted in a half smile, half smirk, and I spoke. I may not have a deep, tough voice, but my, it's a great thing to hear.
"Hey kid. Got a little revenge on your mind?"
I asked him curiously, my dished crown lowering to meet his gaze. I blew out a soft breath and once breathing in, I collected his scent, and snorted. My mug bumped his brawny frame once in an almost respecting manner. Wow, I was completely ignoring the mother. Way to go Riku.

I was too wrapped up in talking with Chaos to notice the stallion approaching, only when I felt hoof not far from me did I turn my eyes towards them. Orbs narrowed slightly at the sight of yet another Arabian brute, was this like Arabian country or something? Cold eyes rested on the intruder as I put on a forced smile “Well hello Riku, we were just about to leave – come Serpent” I called in a ‘I don’t care’- tone however my auds focused on the stallion as he spoke again, how dare he! I set in a light trot planning on getting out of here as soon as possible, and was surprised when Serpent didn’t follow me. My expression faded into a frown and I whinned for Serpent to join me “Come you foolish colt!” my voice was angry.
The little colt had noticed the other stallion approach, small ears peeked up at the sound of hoof beats coming closer and dark curious orbs observed the new male as he came closer. I lowered my eyes as he came to stand near us though, I didn’t want to risk getting another ‘round of beating – or a new bleeding wound for that matter, my lips curled in an angry expression as it pricked in my wound. The new stallion called Riku spoke again and I lifted my eyes from the ground in surprise, who was this stallion? My interest were peeked and my eyes hopeful – please don’t punish me I begged him with my eyes, I desperately wanted to believe not all brutes were as – I sent a glare towards Chaos – like that. I sent Riku a careful smile, making sure my mother wouldn’t notice “I’m Serpent – and” I cut myself off, I was deeply surprised that I actually was about to spill something along the lines of ‘yeah, I don’t like that moron of a brute’ since I knew the consequences if I did – a shiver ran through my body, I knew my mother would pick Chaos over me. Ever since being born she had always taught me, that stallions were very important to her since they meant she could reproduce and be protected at the same time – which I thought was complete bullshit! I was about to follow my mom as she began to trot away, but something about this new stallion – Riku – stopped me. Looking up at him with hopeful eyes yet again, I sent him a silent plead even though I knew there was nothing he could do.

... Mirai wa, doko made mo, kagayaiteta.
A few things happened in a short time. This mother- I didn't like her much, was it obvious?- began to speak. Oh, she was leaving, already? With Chaos. Hmm. Well, if a mare had bad taste, she had bad taste. Ah well. But she roared at the colt to come after her, like a... puppy? Yes, that's it. She had an imaginary leash, and was pulling the colt around. He was also following her. Lakita? Ah, so that was her name, but she was already on her way out. Well... Serpent was his name. Serpent, son of Lakita. I felt bad for the little kid, doesn't anyone? For one, having the immature punk like Chaos as a step-father, and having to follow Lakta around. My mouth tightened into a straight line, as if in deep thought. I snorted, and tossed my crown, snapping at Lakita. I was snapping? Not really, but the tone was definately harsh.
"Let him be, he's a horse too. You wanted a puppet, more than a son, didn't you? If you want, go, I'll keep him with me. Unless you really do care, which I highly doubt."
"Way to go Riku! Good job, show her who's boss! Sora, shut up. Riku? It's Kairi. Don't be mean, but help the colt." Hmm. Both were right, but I didn't know what to do. Still, I already spoke, and now I was staring at the colt. In a near defensive manner, I stepped in front of Serpent, and meaningully stomped a fore leg. My blue green tinted eyes stared at Lakita. They narrowed, daring her to try and cross me. Was I arrogant? Absolutely not, but I certainly wouldn't stand for such a foolish mare, trying to keep her son on a leash.
"Serpent?... Let's say you and I go on and go to Black Lake. Hmm? I can show you some pretty cool stuff. That is, unless you want to stay with Lakita. It's up to you."

Eyes narrowed even more as this stupid excuse for a stallion put himself between me and MY spawn, a hiss slip pass my tightly clenched fangs and I snorted arrogantly “He won’t survive without me foolish stallion, but sure, take him – let’s see how long you can keep him alive” I hissed out in a feline way, I was certain it wouldn’t be long before Serpent was back in my ‘arms’, surely this stallion couldn’t keep a two months old colt alive “Good luck Rikpoo” I laughed as I set in a light canter following Chaos.
My eyes were widening for each passing second and I blinked several times, was this really happening? Who had sent this magnificent stallion? I stared at him with admiration clearly written in my young eyes, I heard my mother’s harsh words and they stung me like a bee – I might be a dark, but she had been the only one who had ever cared for me, and here she was, leaving me for stallion she met less than ten minutes ago. A snarl snuck it’s way past my tiny lips, I was furious and extremely hurt inside, she didn’t give a shit about me and – I closed my eyes tightly and when I opened them again, they had determination written in them – there was no way I would return to her, I would rather die! I turned my focus on Riku again “I don’t want to go with her” there, I said it, and I knew with those words I was signing my own death.
I let out a long sigh, I would have a week or two before my tiny body would give after – but somehow I didn’t feel scared, and to my surprise I found out I trusted Riku – this stallion I had known for only a few minutes – with my life. I sent the stallion in question a weak smile “If that will take me far away from her, then, yes please” my hoarse voice whispered out – on the inside I was torn apart, on just a few minutes my life had taken a complete new turn. My tiny yet muscular body tensed and I curved my fine little neck perfectly, I could do nothing now but trust this Riku completely and put my young life in his experienced hands.
