Will you become another captive?
A slight sea breeze, made the few scattered trees sway, and the sand stir. It was mid day and the sun was being merciful today, allowing its rays to be hidden by the fluffy milk colored clouds. The waves splashed along the wet sand, high tide was approaching and fiddler crabs and starfish where trapped in the tide pools. No equines where seen besides one, and a very stunning one at that.
The young fae walked gracefully along the waters edge, her diamonds slapping in the water, as she trotted effortlessly through the warm water. Tassels where taken with the slight breeze and her fore-lock was pushed to the side.
Unlike most mares, this chestnut one walked as if she knew this place like she had walked it for years. Confident yet aware of her surroundings the vixen walked deeper into the water, and stooped at her knees. Lowering her boa her lips barely touched the waters surface, as she took in the lukewarm water.
Picking her head back up the chestnut mare backed up a few steps and pawed the water with her hoofs, causing the water to splash up all around her and drop on her body. The water, felt good on her back and she turned and went back to the waters edge. Flexing her body the fae shook her self and the excess water went flying in all different directions.
Orbs spotted a sunny spot not to far ahead, and her pillars carried her over to the sun bleached area. After a few moments of standing in the sun's rays, the vixens pelt had dried she continued to walk. But, where she was headed she didn't know nor did she care.

R I K U
All along, I was searching for, "My Lenore."
Today was the day to be windy. A salty air floated through the Falls, so different from what it should be. The breeze grew, pushing into my frozen stature, and making it tremble. It was scary. The breeze could potentially kill me. Half of me cared about the certain death, part of me didn't. What a hard knock life, eh? I'd received worse, so, it wasn't that bad to my small build. I could almost feel myself moving on auto-pilot, towards the falls. Oh, wait, I actually was walking out there. Towards my little hide-out, perched at the top of the falls. Did I really have to go up there today? I would be closer to the wind, and that was something that I didn't desire.
So, I didn't go there today. Something drew me back, and I ended up, wandering around smoothly at a natural pace. Faster than a trot, like a slow lope. In spite of my blood, my crown was held high. It was held in what some would mistake for an arrogant glance, but it was far less than that. It was raised, neck arched, tassels set in it's original carriage. Sapphire tinted eyes searched the terrain for any followers. Of course, nothing. Not a single sound was heard, so why waste the energy and keep going? My pace slowed, shoulders moving easily as I strode around. I finally caught a sight of some civilization. A lone female stood, walking away. She appeared to know what she was doing.
I began to advance towards her. I didn't smile, I didn't scowl. I just, looked at her. Once within earshot, only a few yards away, I took long steps to catch up to the russet female. A small smile rested on my facial features, and I met her paces, walking beside her, like we were both two peas in a pod, just walking around.
"You don't look like you're having much fun by yourself."
Just some small talk. My voice was emitted in a calm tone, my pools glancing at her, then at the path she was taking. Quietly, my crown raised up again, and I watched her. Two responses could come from her. A cold shoulder, and no words, or a kind, sweet reply. He hoped for the latter.

Is her temptation really worth the pain?
Loping along, enjoying the wind and just the quietness of the ocean, the mare had let down her guard, but she had thought nothing of it. Orbs looked ahead as the sand was being swallowed by the incoming tide, she would have to find a way out soon, or she would be swimming.
Once again the wind blew and her sorrel tassels flew with the wind but where brought back when they reached their allowed freedom. Hearing hoofs in the distance, any feeling of carefree and relaxation was washed away with the outgoing wave and the fae was restored to her, seductive, stubborn, conceded, self. Harks shot backwards, visage turned and hazel pools focused in on a brute approaching her, now that she saw him, she would began to play her game. Pillars continued to carry on as if his presence had gone unnoticed, and she still ignored him when she saw his shadow following hers, like they were companions.
Words traveled to her, but she relaxed her ears, the chestnut was not interested in what he had to say, she was the important one. Nares opened as she took in his scent, he was different then most by the way he presented him-self. His body language did not express the usual I am a gift to all mares. He seemed more relaxed and not conceded at all. The fae could also tell that he had experience to go along with his age but not one equine that she had come across had enough experience to hold on to her, and maybe there was no such horse.
Who, do you think you are? I never gave you permission to approach me never mind speak your pitiful words.
Visage, held a vulgarity as she spoke to him, and her words where that as if it were a master talking to her slave. Harks remained forward as she examined him with her orbs.

In the words of Mr. Edgar Allen Poe.
My pace increased when the chestnut's did. We loped alongside each other, matching step for step in silence, and the silence lasted for a while. It wsn't awkward, but the silent tension that radiated off of the elegant russet figure said a lot. Go figure. I thought silently, studying the russet female out of the corner of one sapphire eye. She didn't appear to have that certain hatrid for the world, and she wasn't scowling. She also wasn't happy. It was liked she loved herself; a trait that Xehanort handled very well. She was interesting though, and no doubt, she remined me of someone. Who ever it was, I couldn't remember, but it sparked a memory when she spoke. It was like I was crashing downhill again. "It was Sophie. Isn't that right Riku?" Refraining from letting a scowl spread across my facial features, I snorted, and then smiled. I would do this differently, because this seemed like a game, a cover. Games were fun.
"My apologies."
With that, my sapphire orbs glinted, accepting the challenge that this russet stained female was showing. That was all I said. The smile that spread across my facade seemed genuine enough. It wasn't, but would she know? I continued to move alongside the russet female, engulfed in a comforting silence. I had no thoughts on how to plan my next moves, nothing. What would I say? I had already formed a greeting, and this interesting girl just scoffed and replied rudely. It was strange. "Riku, do something, I'm getting bored." Ha, I was making the beast bored. That was great, but I had to admit, I was also getting bored, just loping with this russet female, so I spoke again, my voice innocent and sweet. I resisted the urge to look at her, and instead looked ahead of myself, sapphire eyes twinkling with a devious imagination.
"Mind if I just stay here?"
I questioned the stained mare, then continued beside her, quiet and relaxed. I gave the female a faint smile, and sighed, my limbs moving with great ease, floating over the salty turf. I would really enjoy to see how this russet temper would react to my innocent stature; no doubt she has dealt with demons far worse than me - maybe far worse than Xehanort? Hm.

Are you bold enough to find the treasure?
A sensation of warmth traveled threw the fae’s body as the glow of the sun hit the earth below. As the gnats continued to suck blood from the duchess pelt the seagulls over head dive bomb those bugs that where not quick enough to escape their death. The tide was rising faster and as each wave came in it hit higher than the one before it.
The two beast however did not cease in there movement. It was clear that the vixen was testing the brute, though she didn’t know why he of course would end up like all the others before him, broken hearted. Watching the dappled pelted one out of the conor of her eye Anya saw him resisting scowling. Hmm…had the brute been in this situation before? If he had he was a fool for wondering into the trap once again.
A smirk crossed her maw at, the stallion’s reply, so he was the passive type? Well that was really no fun. But, as she caught the beasts eye she, saw that he was planning something and laughed to herself, this was now a battle of wits and she was determined to win. Seeing the bordem that she was feeling showing on the fetures of the stallion, the vixen let her imagination travel what would he do next? As soon as the thought was completed oin her mind it was answerd for the dappled arabian has once again spoken his lowly words.
Harks picked his words from the other sounds around them. So he was going to give her control? But as they had before his words brought a slight smirk to her lips, was he clueless? Anya stopped the wind wiped at her main and the waves splashed against her pillars, causing water marks.
What would someone like me need a lowly creature such as your self around for? Really did you think that you would be allowed in my company?
Turrning the sorrel mare cantered off to a path away from the beach that she had passed on her walk, She was testing the brute would he rise to he challenge, she doubted it.

Now I'm sober and "Nevermore."
This feeling, this teasing feeling that the female gave off just made me want to strive and react the same way. Kind of like "Anything you can do, I can do better." I loved playing that game, and the reason was probably because of the fact that I did it all the time at the island. Maybe that drove me forward, because I wanted to be back there. Who knows? Still, a playful smile was spread wide across my facade as I strutted alongside this nameless female. She made a few noises, laughing, most likely at me, but nothing else. Her superior nature kept her quiet? "Highly unlikely Riku. Those who feel superior often show it." Gee, thanks for your input Xehanort. Like he could be the one giving me advice.
I watched this female's mocha tinted eyes with curiosity. She appeared to be so beautiful, and so mean. Hm. This thought only made Xehanort think about the breeding season ahead. It reminded me of Africa, the deceased mother of my only son, Snyper. That also reminded me that I'd have to ask my loves if they wanted a foal from myself... Too many things to do, and yet, I was right here, prancing beside a demon. Strange. Finally, her reply came. That arrogant feeling was back, and I laughed to myself. I continued forward a few strides as she slammed herself to a stop, and then made a roll back, facing her pretty sorrel facade.
"Well, I hardly believe that anyone around here can be placed in your gracious company, isn't that right?"
My reply was brisk, and I laughed again, then pushed off to follow her. I felt like a child, clinging to this girl, but hey, I was having some fun. I threw her a grin, but I doubted that she could see. Although, while I caught up to her, I reached forward, baring my teeth and nipping at her flanks, then drew back innocently, eyeing the sorrel female.

I Dare You To Move
Trotting along the path, the sorrel mare could no longer hear the splashing of the ocean against the damp sand, nor the cry of the seagulls that ruled the sky. Pillars moved her gracefully threw the small patches of browned leaves. Fall had approached and the weather had changed quickly, the fae couldn’t believe that the leaves where already changing color. Anya would have to say that fall was her favorite season and no it wasn’t because of breeding. Hell if it was she would have foals to show it, but anyways she liked it because of how beautiful everything was. She laughed then, everything was dying and she thought it was beautiful.
The sound of hoofs approaching sort of startled her, she had forgotten that she was in the middle of teasing a stallion that was kind of sad, she did it so much she forgot she was doing it. Was her light side finally breaking through? Was this stallion bringing out her desire to love hell her desire to be loved? No, she had gone through too much pain her heart was too cold it was black, but she wanted that feeling so bad. Maybe it was time… But, before she could change her mood, the stallion approached, and so did the cold hearted side.
Well you have finally figured that out. I guess you aren’t as dumb as I thought.
Lyrics where cold and biting, and of course held that of superiority as they always did.
As she went to quicken her pace, Anya felt teeth graze her flanks and spun around immediately. This bloke had made a wrong move, very wrong. His exact movement was the reason why she never allowed herself to love it always came back and bit you in the butt literally. Harks where laid upon her skull and her eyes flashed with anger, he was in some trouble.
How dare you touch me with your filthy mouth? Ugh. Honestly have some respect you fowl creature.
Raising her visage, the fae struck out at the brute with her front pillar and hit him in the lower chest. Eww, why did she do that she just contaminated herself even more, stupid move. Quivering from disgust the mare returned her gaze to the brute. Walking towards him she circled him, she was trying to make him guess at what she was going to do. Would she attack?
Haha of course not, remember she doesn’t want to touch him, he has not proved himself worthy. Latanya stopped in front of the brute.
So, what name has been bestowed on your rancid carcass? Shocking, that she would ask that question? Ya I know but this stallion for some reason was rubbing away on her rough edges.

Will the raven come to bother me at home?
I had no real theory of why I would be so playful. My eyes glittered with a surprised emotion as I drew back my pearly teeth. Shortly after I retreated, sapphire pools caught sight of the female facing me, and it was clear that my teasing gesture was mistaken.. That, or this female just wanted to pick a fight. I kept up my innocent facade, while I heard Xehanort ranting in the back of my mind. "Riku?! What is your problem? I said talk to, not battle you idiot! Besides, you'll probably lose, again." Instead of scowling, I began to laugh. He had a good point. This female looked like Sophie, talked like Sophie, and was acting like Sophie. This would probably get me rolling off the side of a hill head first, but it was fun, right? "No, Riku. This is stupid."
It was clear that her opinion of me was fowl. I released a small laugh, and then tilted my neck to one side when I saw her foreleg tremble, obviously in an attempt to strike back at me. I let her, my lower chest tightening as she struck out, and for a moment after the attack, my chest tingled, but the feeling passed easily, and I stretched my neck in a small circle. Closing my sapphire eyes, I listened to this russet female approach, aerials following her every move. When I opened them, I wasn't surprised to see the russet ess in front of me, speaking with that usual arrogant tone. Oh, so she was asking for my name? I thought she didn't want to know me? At first I was perplexed, and then grateful. At least we were getting somewhere, past this fighting. Giving a wry grin, I started to speak on a near completely different subject.
"I take it you don't like games, or fun, or stallions. Right? Maybe?"
Trying to turn the tables on an aggressive mare was hard. Taking a step closer to her, I pushed off the sandy footing into an animated jog, brushing past the russet ess playfully. Again, why playfully? I had no idea. Blinking my light eyes, I glanced back at her, and replied in a nonchalant tone.
"The name's Riku. I suppose I shouldn't even ask for yours, hm?"
Giving a small laugh, I turned to face the mare and quietly stomped a fore leg, closing my eyes in question. Of course, I was expecting the question to be answered in an arrogant manner. I was learning. "No, you idiot. That was a stupid move. If she pulled a Sophie and drowned you, where would I go?" Flicking my tresses in a dismissive way, I shook my crown, eyes opening. The grin returned to my facade, but it was softer, and I spoke again, my usual tone returning; so kind, despite the situation.
"You're it."
DONE.

A gray stallion chewed on the grass, then raised his head. He smelled someone farther ahead, but the breeze was too light for him to tell who it was. He then caught sight of a chestnut mare that looked like an arabian. He got closer. He couldn't help feeling curious. No stallion in his right mind would. But he didn't think about that just then. Because it is an arabian, foolish.
The gray saw a stallion she was arguing? with. He trotted up to where they were standing and said, Hey, what's up guys?
Then he suddenly remembered his manners. The gray spoke again, I bear the name Arian, good souls.

Anya’s mind began to turn; she knew that she would have to play this dappled one differently, for already he was proving that he was different. Most stallions played into the sorrels tactcts hell, they did anything to get her attention… but, this Riku was different. Which was playing in his favor, he was keeping her interest. Well… we are caching on rather quickly.
Ugh… it was pitiful, but it was the only thing that she could think of to say. She wouldn’t admit it but Anya was running out of tactics. And when his body brushed hers, her body tingled. No! Absolutely not, you stupid wench you will not fall for him. Why was this stallion braking threw to her, when they had only been together a mere 10 minutes and she could spend a month with a stallion and feel nothing? It was a great question, maybe one day she would find the answer.
Ignoring Riku’s question the mare focused in on him. When neither was talking he seemed to be in an argument, with himself. It was like he was two horses in one. No it couldn’t be she was seeing things. However, when the brute flicked his main she knew that she was right. For the way he moved, was as if he was dismissing a remark that was made… and with this new discovery came even more interest.
The fae was brought out of her thoughts, when the brute spoke. So he was challenging her… he would surly lose. But, at that moment something happened, that Anya had never experienced before.
At that moment, a new horse seemed to take over; it was like she was being possessed, but backwards, for the evil was leaving and not entering. The fae’s features softened and her eyes became trusting and hopeful. Pelt, glowing and body relaxed, Anya looked more beautiful than before… it was like her true being had come forth and she was complete. All this happened in a matter of seconds. But why did this happen? Perhaps it was because for the first time she was not allowed to walk all over a stallion, because he didn’t fall for her trance? Whatever the reason was, it was like a miracle had taken place…
With the sound of approaching hoofs, the black hearted horse came flooding back. The mares, features hardened and her body became tense, like she was expecting to be punished, for in her earlier years she would have been for an”act like that” as her mother used to say. But, in those few moments the real Latanya had appeared, and if Riku was patient enough, he would be able to have her... the real Anya.
Nostril’s flaring the enchantress turned to face the new stallion, but this time she didn’t have the excitement of a chase. But, the games came to the mare like breathing.
Ugh… another one… Rolling her eyes in annoyance, Anya looked the stallion over. Vile, absolutely vile, and when he spoke, he just got himself into more trouble. And even less manners then the first… Arain, the high emmence with that the fae smirked. Princess. The royal Queen. Anya, was mocking the young bloke, he clearly had no experience and she would rip him to shreds.

She was obviously a mean one. Yes, Latanya didn't like even this other one here. Arian recognized him as Riku, his queen's father's enemy. So Riku counted as his enemy too.
Well, I'll leave you mean ones together. Humph. Darks. I'm off to Lilac Woods. He scoffed.
Arian knew he was in trouble. First greeting them casually and then too over. I'm out of here, he hastily decided. This mare would kill him if he didn't go, quickly.
Eh, bye guys! And have fun! he teased as he turned to leave. Arian galloped hard as the mist thickened. He didn't turn back. He never would talk to this mare again, unless she changed her mind.
