Zarian A boyish smile played upon my lips. "The honor is all mine, my land is this way.'' I turned back the way I had came before I had met Faye and started to canter to my home lands. I perked up my ears and opened my nostrils to make sure that the femme was following me and would not get lost. The rain had picked up its pace and was now falling faster and the drops were as big as one of my own eyes.
Five minutes later we blew past my outer perimeter and were swaying through the forest of the land. "It is not far now" We burst from the brush line and into a small clearing which surrounded a big cave. The cave looked old and worn from many decades of use. "Where here." The opening of the cave had a small waterfall in front of it from all the rain that was now poring from the sky. I slowed to a walk and went through the sheet of water, it drenched my entire body.
The inside of the cave was not blackness like you would expect since there was no sun but it was a light hazy grey. Hundreds of natural rock diamonds hung to the walls and cached all the little light and sparkled against each other. I shook my body much like a wolf that hunted out speacies to get dry and waited for the femme to enter after me.

Faye followed close and kept Zarian in close sight. The lands where specatular, especially with the rain drifting over them. The cave was even more mysterious then teh stallion that owned it. Faye stopped as he dissapeared underneath the water. She bit her lip and closed her eyes, walking quickly through the water, trying to limit how wet she got. Once she felt the water stop flowing over her body, she opened her eyes and gasped at the jewel like stones on the wall. She looked this and that and beamed with happiness. It was like a secret chamber. The light bounced onto her coat and gave her perculiar looking spots. She shook herself out, her mane flowing down her neck, yet clinging to her for support. Her tail trailed along the ground, and she took short breaths as the storm begang properly. The sound of thunder shook the cave and Faye bounded next to Zarian as if she were scared. The lightening threw weird shadows onto the wall, which made faye look away to the floor.

Zarian
Faye came in after me and shook herself out, some of the spare water splashed onto my own coat. I smiled easily at her. Out of nowhere thunder clapped and resounded off of the wall caves, lightning soon followed and the diamonds flew to life blazing brightly. Faye was suddenly huddling next to me for protection. It made me feel proud that she would come to me for comfort. "We are safe." I cooed softly to her and placed my neck atop of hers lending all the strength I could.
The storm raged on, I rubbed Faye softly whispering reassuringly when the storm was at it's worst. I then got a better idea, talking had always helped me get my mind off of fear so I asked. "Tell me a little about yourself Faye." My voice was calm and soothing, I wanted to reasure her that nothing bad was going to happen to her this night. I had started to heat up do to out close proximity but only our front halves were touching so I moved closer so that our hips also touched. [/sup]

Faye closed her eyes and sighed, the voice of Zarian soothing her like a wind that blew over her body. She huddled closer to him while her body warmed up slowly. She could feel his heart beat steadily and she smiled at his reassurance. She took a step back and thought for something interesting to intrigue the stallion bout her life. Well....I have a brother, Obsession, and my mother and him live with a nice stallion close by, erm....my father died when I was really small, so I never really knew him, but if he was anything like my step-father, I know I would have loved him! My mother is really withdrawn now, and I left because I felt like...I felt like I wasn't at home. You know what I mean? she asked, her eyes skimming the walls every so often but her gaze always came back to look upon his face and see his reflection.

Zarian
Cold air replaced where Faye had been when she took a step back and I shivered at the cold. She had a sweet voice and it was nice to listen to. ''I kinda know what you are talking about, but I did not have a choice to leave my band I was practically kicked out. So yeah I know what it is like not to belong, to have others around you and not feel as if you are home." I flinched at my words not wanting to remember my pain filled past. My ear twitched taking in the sounds around us, the storm was still going on outside the diamond cave but it was slowing down now the rain was just a drizzle. You could hear the thunder but it was faint and far away, there was no more flashing lightning eather. "Well Faye you have two options. You can stay here in my lands with me and we can get to know each other. I will not force you to stay here with me." Faye did strike my desire but she was still young and I was not purely sure if she was ready for me yet. "Or I will escort you to the edge of my territory and you may decide your future from there.'' I was surprised to find that I really did not want her to pick the later of the the options. [/sub]

Faye's nose lifted to the air and she sniffed, the smell of the rain wafting through the cave. She closed her eyes and listened to his heartbreaking words. She didn't show her emotions, not yet anyway, but she couldn't stand to hear those words. She lowered her head slowly and shook her head. She couldn't make that decision. She sighed and opened her eyes slowly, his eyes scanning hers for her answer. She stepped forward and smiled. You know what...I don't think I want to leave. I haven't given a tour of your lands yet... she said, humor drifting into her lyrics and her muzzle extended to his. She didn't want to leave, and wander for a few months before fitting into a home. She felt at piece with him, her heartbeat almost matched his beat by beat, and her eyes seemed to delve into his own and register his soul. It was like they were perfect for each other, yet she was far to young to be involved with a stag like him. She sighed and stole away from him, towards the entrance to the cave, the waterfall, disappearing slowly.

Zarian My heart skipped a beat at faye's reply, I don't think I want to leave. it opened my mind to so many different idea's. Like the two of us watching the sun set in the western part of my land, Galloping through lush fields feeling the wind tug at our mane and maybe sometime in the future we could do that all together with a foal. My heart wormed at the thought of a little foal with it's mama's eyes.
I slowly followed Faye as she made her way to the entrance of the diamond cave, the storm was now slowing down, loosing it's fury. The tall tree's only swayed gently in the small breeze and the pelting rain had turned to a cooling mist. The moon was also out in her full glory which sent the land around into a silver haze. "There are no words that can describe my feeling's for you wanting to stay; but it is night and predators lurk about, we should stay here till the sun rises again." I say walking up next to her. "I will show you some of my land tomorrow, but it will take a few days to get the whole picture." I gently lay my cheek on top of her neck and let out a slight sigh, the mare made me feel so calm even when I had all the ragging memories clashing together to destroy me.

Faye's eyes widened as his words touched ehr. They held something, like addiction or admiration. Whatever it was, it warmed her heart. She smiled as she felt his soft fur against her neck. She pushed her rump against his and flicked her tail against it, so it brushed against his hind legs and rump. She blew soft air out and drew another breath, this time sighing it out. He eyes closed and she turned her head towards his, feeling her way towards his, seeing nothing but the inside of her lids. She felt his heart beat against her side and responded with her own. It increased every now and again, especially when she thought of her future in the lands. Tell me something, and be truthful...What are you thinking? she asked, her head dropping slightly and hooking under his, lovingly.

(sory for the short post but I wasn't sure what to say...) Zarian I coughed in surprise at Faye's question; it was just so random and she had caught me at an awkward moment. I wasn't sure if I wanted to tell her my thoughts because we had only just met; we barely knew each other and I was thinking about foals. But for some odd reason I understood that she would not be appalled by my thoughts so I spoke truethfully to her. "I have yet to have a higher for this land..." I move closer to Faye so we are touching our whole lengths together. "...I am thinking about a foal with your eye's." I ramble off what is going through my mind not really knowing what is coming out. "and thinking about how much joy you have brought to my life even though I have known you for such a short time."

Not surprising to Faye, she giggled at the thought of a foal with his coat and her eyes. It calmed her heart a little and she started dreaming away into her mind. She could just hear what Zarian had said, and she smiled to herself. Sounds like I should stay for good then. What do you say to that? she asked, playfully. Her eyes watched the trees sway gently on the cold wind and the rain got heavier then lighter and followed the breeze when it blew. The wind made the cave whistle and it sounded like a symphony. Faye's head slipped away from his and she looked down into the darkness, savouring the diamond studded walls and the song the wind played. It sounded sweet. She sighed and giggled at herself. Her frame moved closer to his again and she nuzzled her nose into his mane, as if hiding.

(sory for another short post ) Zarian I smiled warmly down at Faye as her lyrics enter my ear's Sounds like I should stay for good then. "If you want to stay here with me then let's have a foal." I nuzzled her nose with my own taking in her sweet scents. "I don't know anyone who I would want to carry my first higher other then you. I know that you will love our foal and be the mother that I wish I could have had when I was younger and we can raise the darling together." Images of the future flashed through my mind and my heart expanded. Faye was catching me in her hook and I knew that I was falling in love. Yes love, I didn't just lust after her I had greater feelings that made me tingle all over.

Faye sighed at his words. She removed her nose from his mane and looked up at him. His eyes twinkled and she felt as if she was falling deep into his dark pools. She smiled and nodded. How sweet of you to say, but answer me one more question. How many mares am I....'on top' of? Hypotheticly of course. she asked, inquisitivly. She nuzzled her nose against his and sighed. I hope I can be a good mother, much better than my own. After this, she felt guilty. Her mother wasn't bad, but Faye never got any attention. She turned towards the lands again and turned to her dream land.

(ok I got my muse back and now have 420 words for you lol) Zarian I returned the smile that Faye gave me but it wilted into a puzzled frown at her question. How many mares am I....'on top' of? I knew what she was asking but I did not know how to reply to it. "Faye..." I stumbled out not being able to get the right words out. I moved away, my side going instantly cold as her warmth left my skin. "I don't know how to put this for you..." I didn't rank the females that were in my lands, I had not even thought that other's would question me about where they stood in my band. Faye cared though where she was, weather it was about power or her feelings that she had for me I didn't know. "I don't place the rankings of the mares that call Silent Woods home..." I stretch out my neck and catch a few cool drops of water that were falling from the cave entrance's roof. "I mean I guess you could say that I know some better then others and that could be how they ranked here because of how close I held them to my heart..." I was still having trouble coming up with words to describe myself. "But I have not thought about rankings or queens and stuff in that subject because I don't find that it would be fair." I am a neutral king and that meant that all different personalities wanted to enter my lands and I could not judge them on that a lone. "Faye you do not have to worry though with your standing's in my feelings. I would not have asked you to have my heir if you were not important to me." I wasn't sure if my answer was what she wanted, and I myself felt like I had been rambling but there was no way I could have helped it; I simply did not have a hierarchy in my herd. Well maybe one standing with me being the king but that was besides the point.
I turned my neck and looked at Faye, who stood a little way's back from me. "You will be a good mother, I know you will. After both our experiences with our past we know how not to raise our foal." I let out a breath of air and turn so that we faced each other. "Faye you will never have to worry again." It was a promise and I sealed it by placing my forehead against hers and nuzzling her softly.

(OK, thats alot. I'll draw all the muse I can get for you Hope 298 words is plausable!) Such a glorious and satisfying day it has before for the dear Faye. She finally felt at home, and Zarian made her realize that her life would just get better. She thought this over and over again, her mind filling with spendid thoughts of foals with white coats and charcoal eyes, fillies who tried to copy their mother's grace and colts that mimicked their fathers stance. She sighed as she felt his head against hers. At first she had thought that their would be a silent weirdness surrounding them, but now she was at peace with him. Her heart beat in timing with his and she enjoyed knowing he would always be there for her. The thoughts of her mother drifted into her mind, a slow and painful emotion twisted itself into her heart and knotted her stomach. She took long, powerful breaths and focused on not fainting. She knew what was wrong. She couldn't right it, but she would. Some other time, but she couldn't sort it now. The guilt seemed to stay, knotted into her mind like a cats claw in a mouse, twisting its way in painfully. She withdrew her head from his and walked a little away again, this time to lay down. She wanted a perfect view from her resting place, so she had chosen the perfect spot. She could see out into the world yet the wind and rain couldn't reach deep enough to touch her. She looked up to Zarian and reached out to him, urging him to join her. She smiled and lowered her head, her eyes still looking at him, almost pleading for him to join her. She closed her eyes, her fur waiting to be touched. Her nerves relaxed yet tensed, ready for the intimate touch of his fur.
