I lifted my golden pillars high as I strode through the thick layer of snow, I was feeling quite good today, perhaps it was the chilly winter air – or the scent of spring coming, I didn’t know. But whatever it was, it made me feel like a young colt again, the word young made me think of my beautiful two mares – both heavily pregnant, and still amazingly beautiful. A snorted left my nostrils as a huge cloud of fog, I loved this season, sure it was cold and annoying sometimes, but you also found some of the most beautiful nature sceneries – ice covered trees, sparkling like a thousand diamonds in the early morning sun – if that’s not beautiful, then what is?
Sapphire orbs rose to observe the cloudy sky above me, the winter was almost over, this year it had not been that harsh and food had been rather easy to find. But what about my two ladies? I had not seen them for a while, but I wasn’t worried, I knew mares liked to seek shelter – especially while being heavily pregnant – and I just hoped that they would show up soon. Spring would arrive soonish, and even though my mares would give birth in the late spring – or so I had guessed considering the size of their bellies – I was looking forward to it with great pride, I would sire two wonderful foals, with the most beautiful dams.
A heavy sigh left my kissers as a wave of longing washed over me, suddenly I couldn’t wait to see them. Raising my proud muzzle into the crispy air I let out a loud call – the call washing over the lands, reaching every corner and cave, searching out the three ladies who held my heart in their mouth. Amazing how a proud king, could be turned into a soft boy, when his females came in question eh?

Shabha
the little grey mare was laying down have a nice peacefull sleep; the her tiny auds pricked forward on her little crown. Shabha was a little temperment because of the pregnancy. When she reliazed who was calling, she got slowly on to her pillars she then made her way to where her king and called them from, but she was also following by his scent.
Shabha was tried then normal, but she knew she was going to foal late, but that did not bother her for one minute; she was happy to carry her kings foal. When she was about half-way there, she gave a whinny loudly enough for him to hear her. After a little bit of more walking, Shabha she had made it to where C a e s a r was standing. Shabha nudge him gently and lovingly. She then stood a little way of, because she was on the very edge of a mood swing, her tail flicked against her flanks.

Viva was sleeping, away in her little hide away, along with Faye, who lay next to her sleeping mother and snuggled up to her for warmth. Since arriving, Faye had grown and matured, yet her face was still child like and she spoke with more grace. She raised her head as the lord of the manor, Caesar requested their presence, a minute later and Shabha was responding. Faye rose carefully, makeing sure her mother wasn't awakened. She trotted away and towards the sound of the lord. The snow crunched underneath her hooves and she was light enough to walk over the snow without it giving way. She trundeled along and finally caught sight of the pair. She gussied herself and smiled as she approached.

; Caesar
I let out a soft whinny of joy as Shabha came in sight, she was enormous – belly had grown to twice the size of what I had seen last time. As she came closer I strode forward to meet her, nuzzling her neck lovingly – carefully blowing hot air in her nostrils. However when she moved away, I let her, I knew the temper of pregnant mares and I wasn’t about to annoy her further.
“You’re beautiful dear, are you doing well enough?”
Lyrics worried yet gentle, I was curious to know if her pregnancy had been alright, even though I wouldn’t be able to do anything to help her if it had not. The soft scent of a young female touched my nostrils and I turned just in time to watch Fayee approach, she had grown and matured over the months – and was now a beautiful young lady. A soft smile touched my lips, soon I would have to keep an eye out for young stallions trying their luck at her, and I would do that until she decided to leave the herd herself in search of a stallion.
“Fayee – how are you? And where is your mom?”
I had to admit I had been quite worried about the pair during the hardest part of the winter, with the storms raging outside I had wondered if my two precious girls were alright – or well three if the foal was a filly. And seeing Fayee without her mother caused that worry to rise again. [/size]

Shabha
The little grey mare smiled towards Caesar, she was happy that she could see him again. Even though she tried not to show it, she had been worried about him. After a little while by herself, she walked back so now that she was in touching distance. Your handsome. I have been doing well. Shabha then looked up when she saw a young horse coming, at first Shabha did not recongizer her, but when she caught the scent, she scent a smile over towards Faye. Then Shabha then lay down, while her belly was getting bigger everyday; Shabha could not wait for her to have her foal, and it was her very first one. This little mare could not stand on her legs for long.

He walked alone, a stranger in his own homeland. He sometimes trotted his way forward, but mostly he walked. Pausing to only eat the minimum amount of foliage to keep him going, Seer walked on; no purpose, no family, no home.
It was breezy that morning, and the light wind flicked off loose bits of shedding winter coat, taken away in the air and let into the heavens. Seer saw where he was from the perspective of the heavens. He was in a broad expanse of land that belonged to another stallion, one that would most likely not welcome another male so kindly.
Chuckling gently to himself, Seer pushed forward, his medium build carrying him lightly and easily through the hock-high grass, taking nips at the taller blades and chewing thoughtfully.
He was planning how he would address this other stallion, the lord over these lands. He could perhaps secure a place in his herd by telling him a prophecy, or reading the stars to see what would come in the near future. Seer contemplated that theory, then threw it away.
If it comes down to me telling another one of those stupid visions, I'll have to be moving, he thought bluntly, and sighed; the frosty air making a cloud of steam surround his muzzle, leaving little ice crystals on his long whiskers.
About a hundred paces ahead, Seer noticed the grass in front of his nose quiver. Startled, he threw up his cranium, grunting. Composing himself, he drew a hoof forward and nudge the rustle, unearthing one of the deadliest animals that he knew of.
The slithering snake uncoiled and hissed dangerously, the translucent fangs dripping the poison that could kill a healthy stallion in minutes. Backing away slowly, Seer reared up, daggers flashing, and brought it down on the snake's noise maker, crushing it.
The serpent spat at the larger horse before deciding that fleeing was his best bet of survival. The rustling of the grass moved quickly off to his left.
Seer was curious; it was one of his more dangerous traits. Pacing for a few minutes, he decided he would follow the deadly foe, and see that it found its den, or that it found his hooves.
He trotted in the direction the snake had disappeared, and in several seconds found it curled and poised in a small indentation of rock, staring intently at a fierce looking stallion, and his mare.
Quite curious indeed, Seer mused silently.

Faye smiled at Caesar. She dipped her head to the ever larger Shabha. She looked up at her step-father and sighed. I'm fine, father. Thank you for asking! My mother is very well, and she apologises for her lateness. The foal is very strong, which has tired my poor mother. So, she sleeps in her den. She shall join us later. she spoke, very adult like. She looked round and took in a deep breath. Something wasn't right. Another scent was wafting through the lands. Faye looked back round at Caesar, then walked towards him. Whats going on? Why is there another scent in the lands?
