"I'd never leave you." That was what he'd told her, that was what he'd told Disturbia. But he had, hadn't he? Following the attack from the cougar a long time ago he'd limped off into hiding before leaving Midnight Acres in a bruised and bloodied state, he thought he was going to die, and he couldn't put Disturbia through the stress of seeing him die. Some how, with the will power he had remaining he pulled through... He was alive and kicking, and what seemed like several years since he'd last seen Disturbia he had now returned in search of her, was she alright? He hoped she hadn't missed him, he hoped she'd be angry with him though - he deserved it after leaving so suddenly without warning that night. His throat felt suddenly tight, like he was being strangled by an invisible grasp as he stumbled across Coco Bay, a place he knew so well... The first place he'd met Disturbia.
She meant everything to him, in his absence, so close to death, he'd only come to realize it. Raising his head, the now fully matured stallion blew down his nostrils in a soft snort. "D-Disturbia?" his teeth chattered with the wind, his voice worn out and tired from his long travel. For too long he'd been travelling, he needed a break so desperately... His ears drooped, his coppery bay pelt that once shone like a two pence coin now appeared dull, blinking his weary, tired eyes he sighed inwardly, heavily. His breathing was ragged, flanks rising and falling quickly like someone was blowing into a balloon before quickly sucking the air back out. His legs wobbled and he stumbled, exhausted across the Bay, suddenly he tripped and lost his footing, not even bothering to try and maintain his footing. He crumbled into the sand like a broken and weary solider in the War. Charcoal lips trembled as he lay his head on the ground. This boy certainly had scars from his encounter with the cougar a few years back... His mind, body, heart ached for contact, to her her voice, to see her, Disturbia... He needed her, only she had stuck by him through whatever disorder his poor body and soul suffered, quite possibly bi-polar disorder... There were times when he was so flighty and from being flighty he suddenly switched to being irritable and snappy before switching to anxiety, guilt and sorrow, if it wasn't bi-polar, Xylon didn't know what he suffered, all he knew was that his mother had had a similar disorder to himself...
The sun was slowly setting, night was drawing in and Xylon was thankful for the cool breeze that followed, cooling down his body, his heart returning to its normal beat. He was back home... Near enough, Verita Mountain had been his real home - no doubt somebody had taken the land as their own now. Ha... As soon as this boy had his strength back he was heading right back over there to challenge and take back what was once his, he was also somewhat determined to take on and finish the cougar that had posed as a risk to Disturbia and had nearly taken his life. Slowly, he craned his charcoal muzzle round to touch tenderly at his flank where a thick, nasty looking grey scar upon his coppery, bay pelt. His ears swivelled, the distant sound of the rustling trees and the lapping waves startled him a little, he calmed eventually and placed his head upon the sand, calling out on last time before he drifted off into a light, peaceful sleep, "Disturbia?" Slowly his eyes began to flutter closed, a low muffled mess of words falling from his lips, three words that sounded very much like "I love you." And then he fell into a peaceful sleep, a sleep that for once was no longer filled with nightmares, he knew she had to be here, somewhere...
