From the grasps of one dark hand to another, she had traveled. Eclipse had disappeared leaving the fae all along in the dark world. Then the king of Knife’s Edge where she had been staying just up and disappeared as well. So she was out of a home. What a glorious year this was turning out to be so far. The mare’s heart lay in pieces, torn and broken. The world was colder than she had originally thought. Gloominess and depression were weaseling their way into her mind. The usually shining glow that surrounded her had diminished. Everything was not bright and shiny anymore. She could not find any good in things. Maybe later, after things healed, she would go back to her old self. Hopefully she would go back to her old self. But now more of the time she walked around with her head hung low, and her steps were slow and aimless. Inside Moxie felt like an old nag instead of the energetic six year old she was.
But the vixen’s white pillars had carried away from the place she had once called home. And now she had stumbled upon a new terrain. But cautiousness was not the first thing on the mare’s mind. Brown orbs would glance around every now and then at the topography. Or to take a quick glance of things to see if there was movement that was not associated with the natural moves of nature. The geography had changed significantly. Instead of the rocky terrain she had left behind, this place was watery and full of vegetation. Shadows filled every corner, creating an almost eerie feeling with in the equine. It was strange, and she felt out of place. Her own hoof landed upon a twig and snapped the stick. The loud noise caused the harlot to jump sideways and snort at the item. Now she was being silly. The feeling of being watched was all in her head. Wasn’t it?
Moxie did not know where she was. Nor what she was doing here. All that the fem knew was that she was here; this is where her daggers had carried her. The question is: should she stay and risk being found by the ones that might inhabit this space or leave as quickly as possible? Truthfully she could not decide. The crimson bodice moved slowly through the tall grasses. Her white blaze and sock sticking out like a sore thumb in the dimness of the area. Harks swiveled atop her cranium, catching every sound that they could. Fear was not her friend, but it was beginning to make a home for itself with in her. Measured steps carried the vixen along. Listening, waiting, and watching.

{ FENRIR ; - Baby's black balloon makes her fly.
It was strange to leave my role as a king, and instead enter the role of being part of this world. It was as if I didn't exist in the earth as the heir of an influencial soul.. My eyes silently ran up the walls that surrounded me, tree tops sprawling up past my line of vision. Now, I understood why Riku - both sides of him - had been attracted to this land. It was almost as though the late gray stallion still wore a presence over this watered down atmosphere, the mere essence of youth cascading through my limber statue. Sapphire sparkled eyes dropped their line of vision to the horizon, silently gazing out at the silent space ahead of me that was my very birthplace. Nostrils flared out at random snapshots in time - it captured tendrils of splayed forelock, framing the subtle dish of my arabian lined facade. Feminine fragrance encased the clean air around me, and my expression became quizzical, forelimbs easing over the moist terrain that I had become a part of. The scent held the slightest familiarity, but my keen memory couldn't lock on a specific face to match the dwindling fragrance. Aerials, once pricked forward in a delicate manner spun back, soft breath released at the beat of my soft walk.
Orbitals sought out the chestnut figure that appeared through the mist. Limbs stretched toward the female figure, her identity still shrouded to me. The lack of knowing her made my mind numb; nostrils flared out in a soft greeting, and I advanced toward the form with steady steps, my care free youth remaining in high spirits. As I drew in close enough to touch the female with a simple stretch of my tender muzzle, a smile was drawn onto my lips, and I had a guess morphing in the back of my mind. "I think I know you." My voice began, sapphire crystals scanning the fire licked female, smile remaining on my pale lips. I released a gentle breath, stepped back from the chestnut hued female, and then spoke, my youthful tones carried out into the rather eery atmosphere. "You were Eclipse's queen?" I'd never personally met the chestnut flamed mare, but from my under-armor's description, this unknown ess fit it pretty well. Form straightened, limbs locking up in a steady posture, and I relayed another set of words, keeping a rather easy tone. "I'm Fenrir; this used to be my father's place." Soft smile was molded onto my lips, strikingly resembling Riku's whole attitude. Hind limb cocked up with ease, and I relaxed my war hardened position, neck dropping a fraction of a degree.

Auds had picked up on the approaching of another being. With how stiff and alert the mare was of the environment around her. Even though every ounce of her was screaming to run, the filly’s body refused the command her mind was making. Mostly because living in the darkened land of Knife’s Edge she had learned that running away just made things more exciting for the follower. Soft brown orbs glanced over at the approaching stallion. He did not seem like he was going to pounce upon her at any given moment. This allowed her to relax, and release the breath she had been holding. Her hurried steps slowed to an almost nonchalant pace. The fae’s head hung equal with her withers, a comfortable position for it to be in as usual.
Harks flickered as she heard him drawing nearer, and her motion came to a halt as she waited for him to catch up. Moxie had managed to place a sweet smile upon her pink muzzle. The vixen did not flinch away nor bolt as the other bodice approached hers. She tried to appear as relaxed, calm, and polite as possible. But the smile she had been wearing quickly faded and turned into an expression of utter confusion when he pronounced that he though he knew her, and what she had been. How did he know? Well other than the obvious thing that somehow news got around everywhere. The fem resisted the urge to ask that question. Instead her attention quickly flickered back to the brute as he spoke again.
It took her just a moment to gather her thoughts and speak. After all it was rude not to say something. “Yes, I was Eclipse’s Queen.” Her voice turned to a whisper. “Seems like so long time ago.” That was a statement more directed towards herself than to the stag standing near her. “Fenrir?” she repeated the name to make sure she was saying it right. The same gentle smile returned to the façade. “It’s very nice to meet you. My name is Moxie.” She was just about to ask what he was doing here out of sheer habit of asking people that, but then the answer slapped against her brain with a big ‘DUH!’ written upon it. So instead she reverted to something else. “I’m sorry am I intruding upon your land? I can leave.” The mare spoke in an almost hurried tone as she remembered she was trespassing.

{ FENRIR ; - I almost fell into that hole in your life.
Gaze remained stable as my dished crown lifted up, glinting orbitals locked on the chestnut mare. At first, she did what most cautious equine trapped in a dark land would do; but gradually, her whole tense stature loosened up, and she looked like she wasn't fearing for her life - an ugly steriotype that darks had been given. I believed firmly that Riku and I had broken that steriotype.. Something to be proud of. The smile that had morphed on my ashen tinted lips grew soft, and I slowly urged my limbs forward, matching the creeping pace that the fire licked mare had set out, sapphire orbs leaving her form for a short while; I gazed out at my home rather quickly, assuring that we would be alone from the carnivorous predators. When I felt certain, my alert aerials dropped their stiff stature, and my head eased out on a loose string of vertebrae, exhaling a soft breath.
Aerials glided toward the chestnut feminine's figure. She had yet to reveal any words, drawing an almost concerned look from myself. The smile that had warmed my expression began to drop into a flat line, until I held a blank emotion, and my gaze wandered. It trailed over the very edges of land that held my moving soul in. This place was much more serene than the Edge.. The Edge held that hard core intensity that was almost cliche for a dark equid. I fell into a soft silence that radiated from my home, relaxed gaze sliding back to the chestnut mare. She looked much more on edge than what I did - why? Simply because I had made an educated guess of her identity? Lips hid my attempt at a laugh, only blocked for the mere compassion that had been passed down from my lines. Otherwise, I would have been giggling up a storm at her baffled expression.
Finally, after the time had clicked in well over a few rotations, the chestnut goddess replied, but the silky voice that I'd expected to come flowing from her lungs was rather sliced up, relishing on her old memories. I sympathised with her, dished facade giving the faintest movemement of a nod, aerials translating her faint voice. "Seems like so long ago." She'd said. I stood, riveted to my spot, unable to speak. Indeed, it did. When I had shown my brief ruling over Knife's Edge, my family was still alive. In that past season, my mother and sisters had all perished from a natural disease, and Riku went home.. I knew his home wasn't here. But, alas, I had fallen quiet and hadn't responded to the chestnut contessa, who'd revealed her name. "Indeed, it's a pleasure to meet you, Moxie." I replied slowly, exhaling a rather goofy chuckle. I'd merely done the same thing that Moxie had done a few minutes prior. At Moxie's next strung together speech, the smile returned to my lips, my sapphire orbitals lost their confused expression, and I regained my youthful luster, replying with a soothing voice. "Don't be worried Moxie. You're welcome here." I breathed out softly, taking a set amount of breaths before speaking again. "So.. What are you doing here? Out of curiosity's sake, of course." My voice mentioned, and I picked up our walk again, beckoning her to follow.

Again brown orbs stared at the brute. He was much calmer and at ease than a normal dark should be. It was odd, and yet somewhat comforting. Even though Eclipse had been nice to her, there was a darker side that she had picked up on. One that she had not wanted to come face to face with, she could hold her own but not against someone she had given her heart to. But now it was different. The crimson mare was more drained, mostly mentally than physically. Her body still retained the bulkiness of her breed. It was more trimmed and tuned with the constant traveling she had been doing since leaving Knife’s Edge. Harks remained pointing towards the steed as he spoke, listening intently. Every now and then the audits would flicker away to catch the noise of a bird or something small flittering about the wood, but then it was focused back on him.
“I was merely traveling through. With nowhere else to go I was trying to get out of the dark lands without getting my head bit off by others. This just seemed like the quietest route.” The mare stated calmly. It was the truth, so there was no reason to think of something else to say along with it. It had not been her intention to get caught on her way through, but she did. So that’s why she was here chatting. She had made it out of the Edge before the newest king had claimed it. So her presence there was completely unknown. By now her mark on the land was just a memory, and nothing more.
The fiery filly gave another small smile. She was not her usually boisterous self, and that irritated her. Usually she would be prancing and about and acting like she owned the world. But not now. Normally it was all smiles and everything could be taken with a grain of salt. But her attitude was more like she was walking on egg shells. In time she will return to being ‘herself’ but not until her mind had reset itself. “Well I am thankful that you’re not blood thirsty and savage like the stereotypes of most darks seem to be.” Moxie added happily.
