The years of war are far from over. As the English move further across the lands of America more and more Indian settlements are being pushed out of the way to make room for the frontiers newer tenets. With the threat of losing their home the Native Americans are becoming more and more active in their attempts to stay planted. It starts out small with the killing of cattle here and there, to actual attacks on wagon trains and stage coaches. These people seem reluctant to leave, and for good reason. It has been their home since the beginning.
However the word that Silver litters the ground in the western plains soon reaches the east coast. This sends a flock of travelers out into the prairies. Towns spring up along rivers and road ways. Following the word that silver and gold are here and there. Many places start out as small mining camps then flourish into attractive little townships. Silver Springs is one of those towns. Though its Indian neighbors aren’t too happy about the development, it has provided a comfortable life for most of the others living within its borders.
But of course, with each peaceful town comes those ill will gangs. The band of thieves, group of brothers, the ones that always try to out run the law. Whether it’s robbing trains, banks, stage coaches, or little old men on the street to full blow threats against the town for ransom money. There’s always something going on with the Outlaws.
Then of course there are those that are stuck in between this madness. You’re regular townsfolk and ranchers working hard to earn their keep. And working hard to keep food on the table. These are the individuals that seem to be surrounded by the drama of the newly formed land. Some fear it, some ignore it and others live with it and go on about their lives trying to avoid trouble.
Which side will you choose? Who will you be? What part will you play in this battle for Silver Springs? On the surface it’s a quiet little town. But underneath there appears to be real trouble. Still there is always a warm welcome here. But be warned of the dangers that surround you.
