I moved out of the land of Taunting Marshes. This was my first trip out of the land and I wonder where it would take me. I followed down the dirt worn path. This path must be here for years while the darks travel down it coming to the shared lands. I let my ice blue lanterns look up at the timbers. The large water oaks that live in the Marshes changed into large pines. The evergreen pines let its scent out over the land.
Sentinels flickers as I moved along the path. I listen to the sound of thunder rumbling above me. I knew that this winter was going to be harsh as the rain began to come down, the chill in the air. But I didn't feel the rain or chill, my thick winter coat worked like a shield.
Slender limbs came to a halt as I was in this new place. I let my nares flares as I took in scents of other foals. I let out a smirk as I move toward the shadows to watch anyone that might come along. My dark grey carcass worked wonderful with the dancing black shadows upon my flesh. I was one with the darkness. I then let out a slight snort as I waited for someone to come along. I didn't mind who it was, but I thought it was about time for me to start getting out.
OOC: Next post will be better! I just suck at starters!

[/color] &psi If was cold, very cold. Almost beyond freezing and poor little Dahlia had not the slightest hint that it would only get worse. Her thin - still patchy with her newborn coat was definitely not good enough. Tiny hooves slipped in the mud, making her slide down a short hill onto the beach where most of the other foals roamed. Sprawled out on the ground she lay, looking up at the dark and cloudy sky. It's Dahlia's first winter, being just two months old and all alone. So far she hated it; all of the rabbits went to hide underground and not a single one of their burrows could fit her, and all the birds flew far away. She didn't like the feeling of being alone, being deserted.
&psi 'What if this Winter never leaves?' Her uneasy, nieve thoughts weren't helping in the least. A drop of icy rain kissed her buckskin muzzle, sending a chill down her spine. Looking around she could see the few other foals their, most returned back to their herd's when there mother's arrived. 'Maybe mine will find me here.' Hope; more like desperation. Sighing, she trotted toward one of the big oak's for shade of the water-drops. Slipping on some more deviant mud she slid off a rock and into another foal. "Oh, I'm so sorry! It's just so very slippery.." If she could blush she would have, for bumping into such a stranger. His coat was like the shadows that followed her around sunset, stalking and creeping. His eyes looked hallow and fearless, no doubt a demon. Chesh, her little rabbit friend warned her about the demons taking forms of horses. But, she was curious. "I'm Dahlia."

I let my ice blue lanterns look ahead of me while I listen to the demons that was out. I heard a wolf howl it's hunting song in the distance. The song sent a chill to me spine while I knew the hunt has began. I could see them in my mind running through the wet cold rain, following there leader, knowing they will have blood and a full belly before the darkness of night is here.
While I was lost in my day dreaming my tiny eardrums warned me that someone was coming beside me. Before I could react I felt another soul slipped and caught there self upon my carcass. I turn my cerebrum, ice blue lanterns glares at the tiny filly, sentinels lowers into there graves at her sound waves that she sent to me. I could tell that she was lost. But what was she doing here, alone, without her mother. I knew that she was a few months younger that I was and I knew that there should be a mother around. I then heard the last words that she spoke toward me. I could see she was curious about me. Hasn't sure ever seen a dark before. I then let out a slight snort, a smirk form upon my dark Smokey mug. She could be a light. This shall be fun. It was then I began to speak toward her. I'm Thowra, heir of Taunting Mashes. Its fine about slip, that happens now and then. I looked off in the distance and then back to her. What brings a light filly like you out. Alone without there mother. I took a small step forward toward her, nares flares while they took in the scent that she gave out to the world around me. I had to see if she was a light. If she wasn't then we might could become friends. But who knew, I was always jumping ahead. That might been why my father disappear, always jumping ahead of himself.
