NICOTINE
& KETAMINE Was it really worth it was she everything, that you were looking for, do you feel like a man? i hope you know that, you can't come back, 'coz all we have it broken like shattered glass.. I stuck close to Ketamine on our journey. Why was it we had even chose to leave our homeland? Maybe because we were considered outcasts? We both had extremely rare colourings and markings, got bullied because of it. But treated like angels by the royals. Heck was it really my fault i was so goddamn gorgeous?! My shining golden frame looked fantastic in the moonlight. Yes, it was night. K said we should travel at night to avoid most dangers. I was only three. Therefore, still young at heart. I'd never before been away from my herd or from my parents. I guessed this was just one big adventure. But really, would things be different here? Would we be oucasted because of our odd colourings and deformaties? I hoped not. I needed some place where i felt safe and secure, so why was it, that now. I clung helplessly to my brothers side, hoping for some protection in the middle of the night? I gave a soft sigh as he spoke, "When are we stopping?" Turning my slightly dished tiara 'round to stare blankly at him, my reply came in a slightly snappy tone. "Not yet. I'm not tired. I want to find someplace safe to sleep." I gave a small cough and moved up into a spritely trot; ignoring the tug Ketamine gave on my grey and copper tinted tassles. I gave a high pitched squeal and bucked. Stepping into a canter and tossing my crown around to nip and his shoulder. We were typical brother and sister, fighting, laughing, being together...everything we did, we did together. Some say we are closer than others, for we are twins and often, they read each others minds. I slwoed and puffed out a great load of carbon, dipping my head to snatch up some cold grass blades. "You shouldn't carry on like that, Nicotine, we could get caught.." The silver stallion spoke in a serious tone as he sidled up beside me and groomed my shoulder. "By who, Ketamine? Who will be out at this time of night?" I replied, again, in a snappy tone. I often did, we always competed for the most power, and i found it funny how he always tried to dominate the situation. As i walked on, over the terrain, my nostrils quivered as the smell of equines tickled my senses. "I think we are here, K. I smell others.." I stated clearly. Jogging off to the right to take a well earned drink in the nearby stream. We had been travelling for five hours now, my legs ached, but i desperatly wanted to carry on and find someplace to stay. I turned my skull around, amber optics clashing with my brothers green. "You should drink, K." I ordered, flicking my crown and ushering him over. The silver tinted one agreed with a firm nod, and began walking over, keeping his wits about him, audits were pricked, listening out for any sounds. "Mhmm...I should. God knows how long it will take us to find - OH! an acorn!" His voice turned into that childish one as he darted slightly to the left and picked up the small object, crunching it with happiness. The golden mare, however, retreated from the stream and lunged at her equal brother, teeth bared, snapping her fangs over his muzzle in a harsh bite. "You moron! Why did you eat that? What are we going to do now? You'll go bonkers and i'l have to watch youand watch out for predators. I hate you!" Her high pitched catty tones rang out across the quiet land. She darted away from him, tears dripping from her amber optics. Her brother held a horrid decease. As the two were twins, it was often for one, if not both of the unborn foals to gain defects of the brain or organs. Ketamine's brain was deprived of oxygen during the pregnancy. Therefore, his brain didn't function 100% sane. Often ,small things, mainly acorns triggered something that made the silver one act asif under the influence of high powered drugs. It was an awful addiction, but one he would live with forever. The golden fae began to panic, nostrils quivering, one hark set on her brother who was begginning to feel the reaction from the small beady food. She stood out, even in moonlight. Blackened legs with shining golden rings, her eyes were wide, whites showing; bringing out the birdcatcher markings around her optics. She gave a small shudder. " Ketamine. Come here, stay close to me, m'kay?" She ordered. She was experienced in looking after him, almost like a mother figure. The pair were stuck. In this unknown place with no-one around. She settled just ever so slightly, but a damp sweat had formed on her shining coat. It was obvious she was scared, and under stress. She gave a low groan as her brother bumped into her, catching her off gaurd and knocking her onto her front knees. She gave a quiet sob, and turned to look at the stallion. Who's eyes were wide, whites showing, but unlike his sister, this was not with fear; it was from the emotions he felt from his 'drug' His coat was foaming under his mane and belly. He became aggitated. Unable to stand still and obay his worried sisters orders. Character: Nicotine & Ketamine Status: complete! { A l i x - I turn my head to the west, still nobody in sight. Overhead, owls piped out with their detesting songs, ones that were always sounding so dreary; often, they sounded frightening, the few things that could push someone over the edge, especially in this time of the night. But, why? Emerald orbs glittered in the fragments of moonlight, soft, silent breath exhaled in a puff of warm, ashen plumes, mystic expression held on the young child's face. Lips lifted in the faintest of smiles, dished tiara stretching out, repeating the owl's far cry. "Hoot! Hoot hoot." Tender words were quiet, spoken in an undertone, and the splashed filly was absolutely delighted when the amber-orbed owl replied back to her, it's melodious hoots echoing through the quiet brook. Everything was so interesting at this early point in winter. The brook had since frozen over, and her light, immature form could easily pace on the icy edges. Orbitals slid up to the moon in it's glorious crescent form, smile returning to the filly's lips. "You'll get big soon, moon. You'll be full in a few days!" Voice started - and for a moment, you couldn't doubt that the child had began to match up to her Greek name. She was no doubt fascinated with the nature around her.
Eyesight wandered to the frozen brook, brown hued form slipping through the lithe quietly; even though her eyesight wasn't one hundred percent yet, she'd studied the nature enough to become it. Gentle talons glided over the powdered turf, careful not to disturb its beautiful formation, and the filly remained silent until she reached the brook, stepping onto the ice. The ice clicked delicately, like small crystals hitting the earth as she eased over it, the moon hitting the frozen water, making it appear glorious; Alix's eyes wandered over it in awe. Breath was let out in a sweet manner, the ashen plumes floating out around the filly. Only after a few moments of silent dancing upon the surface, did her fluffed up radars pick up the sound of equid's voices; male and female. Their conversation was.. quite strange. To avoid eavesdropping, Alix slipped her tiny stature forward, fine tiara lifting suddenly, her voice creating a cute protest. "Oh, mister, you can't eat the acorns, otherwise they won't grow in the spring!" Despite the fact that the equid's could be dangerous, the filly pushed between them, tending to the ground that the larger of the two had uprooted. When she was done, eyes glanced sideways to the pair, trying to use her blurred eyesight to form an identity.

KETAMINE
'Cuse me. do you know where the dealers are? I mean, can you get me high? What mate? You've lost the f.ucking plot...
The silver based stallion swayed and occasionally bumped into his sister; his own 'hallucinations' making him wary and panicked. A loud snort forced its way down his nostrils, inhaling a big gust of air and snorting once mroe; as the sweet scent of an unfamiliar equine wafted through the tubes. He became alert, almost knocking himself out of his 'high' and he stepepd forward, green optics held wide with interest, harks pricked forwards, squinting slightly, he extended his muscular neck, trying to see what was coming out of the darkness. Ignoring the hestitant touch Nicotine gave him on his right shoulder, he stepepd forward a few more steps, nostrils quivering in a silent whicker. "Hello?" I stated, loudly; now fully aware of what he was doing, the short term effects of the acorn eating had warn off. However, when the smaller frame stepped out of the shadows; the fully grown stallion couldn't help but spook; arching his neck and jumping sideways, a startled snort came from his nostrils when she spoke, weaving her way inbetween me and my twin. nicotine stayed quiet now; i guessed she was becoming tired, plus, she knew this could be a good oppotunity; she knew i had to claim a few mares to get a land, whether she would live with us, or not. It was a while before i responded to the mare; still, slightly spooked, i lowered my skull to meet her gaze. "Hey; sorry, it's a kind of addiction i have." i murmered to her, adding a slight smile at my words. "I'm Ketamine; who are you? I just got here a few hours earlier, i need a land to stay in, but for that; i need mares to follow me. do you already have a home?" i asked her. suddenly becoming very chatty with the new face, seen as i had had no one but Nicotine to talk to over the past few days. Character: Ketamine (nicotine in the background) Status: complete Word Count: 322 Comments: such a rushed day today, got online and had about ten threads to reply to, so this isn't my best...sorry. And i'l just have Nicotine lurk in the background not doing much; as she'll likely wander off after these two get together xP [/blockquote]

My, my, my! Who would have guessed that such a fragile foal could frighten an equid so? A set of fluttering giggles rose to Alix's murky brown lips, and she kept her dished tiara down, nosing the moist soil around, careful to not harm any of the existing plants. Soft exhale blew through her lungs, warming the lithe before her a degree or two, getting the all familiar feeling that she was being watched. Depending on sound, not sight, Alix flicked her radars back, the silence echoing through the trio making her feel quite comfortable, oddly enough. "There you go, tree. Forgive the stallion for doing that to you.." Tender smile lingered on the edge of the filly's lips, molten statue straightening out, then turning to face the pair, who were much bigger than she'd believed. Emerald orbs ran over their body with an unreadable expression, piecing together shards of clear visuals to form a picture; by that time, the larger of the two, the stallion, has already spoke. Tiara slid sideways to his large, bulky facade, and Alix remained quiet to listen to his apologetic words. "That's not very good to have an addiction. Aren't they bad?" Words were more of a statement than a question, and the chocolate tinted filly picked up a flat legged walk as the stallion began to speak again.
Fragile form passed by the pair again, taking a direct route under the stallion's scarred barrel. I'm Ketamine; who are you? Teasing smile formed on the filly's mask, all too real reply forming in her throat. "I'm Alix; caretaker of the woodlands here." The male then launched into a big explanation of something or other.. Truthe be told, the filly wasn't exactly listening, and filled her mind with sweet humming noises, talons tapping the earth as she moved about. I need mares to follow me. Opticals slid sideways in question, and the tiny child decided to play coy; after all, she knew she would be a mare, granted, in a few years, but still.. "Well, I don't know any mares!" She replied easily, sweet as honey voice carrying through the wooded area, limbs pushing onto the ice again, enjoying the crystaled sounds that was made when she eagerly danced over top it. Blurred vision looked towards the stallion again, taking a moment to stare at him, voice parting through the chilly air. "Mmhm. I live in Elixar Grove; my mother and father are the king and queens there!" Pride was mixed with a certain awe factor, and Alix let out a childish giggle, continuing. "I don't go there very much, though. I tend to stay here, tending to the plants and animals." Pointed stare was given to Ketamine; still annoyed that the stallion was disturbing the circle of life, which was so easily set out of balance.
ooc; complete. new format, testing and tinkering. don't mind it. xD

'Cuse me. do you know where the dealers are? I mean, can you get me high? What mate? You've lost the f.ucking plot...
The young stallions gaze was fixed on the amusing filly. She was just wonderful, the type I would get along with. Slightly dished cranium tilted when the chocolate filly spoke to the tree? was she almost as insane as me? He allowed a softened smile to take to his jaw line as she spoke again, "Uh- I guess, but nicotine here says i'l grow out of it..she's my twin sister if you hadn't already guessed.." I told her, hrowing my head in the direction of the grazing golden mare. She lifted her head, but continued chewing on the frozen grass blades. Her harks perked forward at the mention of her naem and she looked at the filly with a slightly blank stare, dropped her head and continued grazing. I gave a quiet chuckle, and returned my gaze back to the filly as she nursed at the ground, soon walking towards me and walking under my stomach; i shook my cranium again, greyed mane and forlock spilling over my neck and face. "Alix I murmered, letting the name roll off my tongue; already i loved it, such a sweet name for a sweet girl. "You look after this place? Isn't it...well- dangerous to be out here by yourself all the time? Maybe i could stay with you for a while, would that be okay? I'm pretty sure Nictine will wander off to find some place to live..." I questioned her, a slight tilt still in my cranium, my green optics glittering as the stars flashed over them. Nostrils quivered slightly as the distant 'hoot' of an owl could be heard, followed soon by a low shadow swooping overhead. I shifted my gaze from her, slightly amazed by the wild creature as it circled over the small area we stood in, before calling out again, another, different reply came and the wild bird flew off; leaving me and Alix, and Nicotine alone once more in the quiet place. "I don;t know any mares!" her words made me snap my head around to gaze at her, quite blankly infact. "You mean..you wouldn't come with me? I'm sure there would be other places where you could tend to nature, places that need more help than Zulu Brook..." I stated, quite shocked. then she spoke about her family, her home and a slightly depressed manner flooded through my veins. "Elixar Grove? Hmm, won't your parents be mad that your out talking to me?" I asked, shifting my weight and resting my right foreleg, looking at the mocha one contently. Emerald vision slid around the shadowed lithe, depending further on her supurb senses to 'see,' in the way that her blurred pupils could not. Aerials twirled atop the filly's slightly curved tiara, taking in the earth killer's - er, Ketamine's - slow words. His vocals sent the filly off in a tangent of thoughts; "She's my twin sister, if you hadn't already guessed." Lips quirked up in a wired smile; Alix was a twin. Her sister, wherever she was right now was healthy along with herself, and might they say, Alix felt quite blessed that Mother Nature had granted her with that gift. Gaze slid up to the canvased sky, sketched rays of the moonlight sliding through the canopy of thick oak trees. Lilting voice floated out to the masculine figure, striped facade twisting to glance at the large form. "I'm a twin too! My sister's name is Dana." Seemingly crimped forelock rustled upon the filly's tiara, her petite frame again shuffling under the ashen pale stallion, emerging from his stilt-like forelimbs at his mention of her name. "Alix." "Hm?" Questioning tone was taken on before the filly layed her dished tiara against Ketamine's strong limbs, running up and down the length of it before drawing back and continuing about her business. "Dangerous? Oh, certainly not. The wild ones here respect you if you respect them. I just happen to hide with the she-wolves if a lucid looking equid comes around.. if that's what you mean." Alix mentioned softly, not at all mentioning Ketamine's unfortunate living conditions.
Mind shifted to the flightly animal overhead; despite not being able to see the owl's departure, the chocolate hued filly listened to the flutter of it's great wings, until it faded off into the distance, eventually becoming silent again. At Ketamine's words, Alix's tiara twisted toward his curiously. Emerald orbs blinked a few times, soft exhale leaving the child's lips, but nothing else was mentioned. Petite build randomly lifted into a springing jog, molding herself around the clearing's rounded edges, making quite sure that everything was in order. Aerials flickered back - at the same time Alix chose to spoke. "You may be right, big stallion. I've been here long enough to nurish the plants back to health.. Perhaps I can find a new place care for them." Frank gaze was given to the gray stallion, and Alix offered him a vague smile, her pixie form prancing off. "I suppose you aren't as silly as you look." Childish set of giggle's rose to the female's velveteen facade and was emitted. Again, the male spoke; gaze refrained from watching him, and instead her body leaked forward to the iced over pond, clattering over top of it. "No, they know that I plan on leaving for a journey soon. They trust me." Smile spread across the mocha hued filly, her striking opticals sliding to meet the stallion's.
ooc; my muse is shot. sorry.
