RAIN Let The Rain Fall Down
The rain felt good on my black coat as I galloped through the muddy field. The mud was caked onto my legs and I was drenched. I laughed at myself as I galloped forward. The rain was a light drizzle by the time I reached my destination, Dream Falls. I slowed down to a trot so I wouldn't get as much mud on my coat. I looked more like an appaloosa than a Friesian, Clydesdale, and Thoroughbred mix. I looked around with my light blue eyes. I spoke up, Breaking the silence that surrounded me.
"Will I ever find someone? I don't think my chances are very high" I said, Asking the air if I would ever find someone who is my perfect soul mate. I was ready to give up all hope if someone didn't come and claim me soon. I didn't want to be here forever.

The rain had made quite a mess of things, making the cold ground slightly muddy and raising the level of the pool into which the waterfall fell, along with the stream that ran down from it.
A large Friesian stallion galloped swiftly through the rain, heading nowhere and running for no other reason than for the joy of it. Clods of mud and dirt and snow were flung behind him as powerful hooves pounded the wet earth in a steady rhythm. Each movement was fluid and graceful, the stallion's huge bulk flying as easily across the field as if he were flying. Tone muscles rippled underneath his shining dark coat as he ran, the rain running down in rivulets. His black mane and tail flew out behind him like a soaked banner and the feathers around his hooves were getting a little muddied by the storm, but he didn't mind.
Dia'Mante slowed from his gallop to a loping canter, then a quick trot and finally down to a sedate walk, breathing in deeply the scent of stormy air. This. This was what life was all about. Walking through the rain without a care in the world, being free, not worrying about predators or darks. The dark horses that he despised so strongly didn't even cross his mind as he loped gracefully along, at ease with himself and the world. The peace that pervaded his demeanor and his mind was something he'd been needing for awhile and it did him good.
Some days were better than others. The guilt of his sire's death didn't crash so hard down on him, especially as each day brought that event further and further back into the past. Some rare days, however, it was difficult for him to act normally and not see every horse as the dark horse who killed his sire. He would never forget that horse.
Dia'Mante shook his head, sending his wet mane cascading down his shoulder and his forelock down the center of his white blaze. For now, he was a free horse. He had no worries, he was independent and he could just be himself. Where he was, he had no idea, but it didn't matter. And there up ahead was a waterfall with some dry looking caves behind it, so he wouldn't have to stand out in the run for much longer.
The light horse trotted swiftly towards the caves, pausing only when he heard a distinctly feminine voice through the sound of the rain and waterfall. At first, he thought he was hearing things, but when he came up onto the cave floor, the rain now outside, he saw a young mare in the shelter of the cave. "Oh, hello there miss," he said slowly, his deep voice low and quiet so as not to startle her. "That's some storm out there." He was, of course, just making conversation, seeing as she was also hiding from the storm. And he was being polite. Not to mention she was a pretty mare.

RAIN The Storm Is A Coming!
The sound of the stallions voice made me feel a little giddy with pleasure as he came near me. "Hello, Sir. Yes, It is. I knew it was coming, The clouds were too dark for it to just be a little drizzle" I said to him. I smiled at him and I spoke again. "My name is Rain. What's your name, Kind sir?" I asked him, Cocking my head to the side like I always do when I ask a question. I waited to hear his low voice again, It was freakishly sexy and I really liked it.

"Indeed," he replied amiably, shaking the water from his thick coat. "Terribly sorry if I got you wet," he apologized quickly, realizing just then that his shaking water would get her even more wet. She seemed to be quite a nice mare, though, and enjoyable to chat with. Nothing like the hostility of dark horses he had encountered in the past.
"I am Dia'Mante, or just Mante if you please. Rain, such a pretty name," he complimented her subtly, smiling a little and stepping into the warmth of the cave. "What is a pretty mare like you doing all alone in this weather? You should be with the warmth of a herd."

RAIN Let The Rain Fall Down
A smile melted onto my face as he completmented my name. I just loved his name. "Mante" I said, His name rolling off my tongue. I just loved the sound of his name when I said it. "Thank you, I love your name, It sounds strong yet gentle" I said to him. "I don't have a herd or a mate so I stay here and bond with the weather, It can tell when I'm depressed or mad and it tried to calm me. What's a stallion like yourself doing here?" I asked him, Cocking my head to the side again.

Dia'Mante I am strong, so you don't have to be...
Dia'Mante nodded his head at her as she repeated his name to herself, smiling a little. It sounded so nice when she said it. "Why, thank you miss, you are too kind," he said, responding to her compliment. If he could have, he would have been blushing from his head down to his hooves, but of course he was a horse and horses don't blush. "No herd? No mate? Why, young miss, you of all mares must have someone who has claimed you! Any horse would have to be nuts not to," he said, acting surprised that she had no mate. "And bonding with the weather, sounds nice. Me? Escaping the weather and, well, I hate to admit it but I'm a little lost. I have no sense of direction." Dia'Mante didn't realize it, but he was being quite charming at the moment with a winning smile and his polite/respectful tone.
He moved a little closer to her, so that they weren't talking across the cave but rather side by side.

Let The Rain Fall Down

I smiled at Mante. He lost his way huh? I giggled a little as I batted my eyelashes. I felt like he was my closest friend, My only friend for that matter. I leaned into him and I nuzzled his cheek. I could hear the surprise in his voice as he responded to my words. I looked at him and I rested my head on his shoulder. I inhaled his smell and I smiled at him. I felt like we belonged together and I just really liked him. "Why are you so surprised, Darling? Don't you have a mate?" I asked him curiously. I looked at him and purred softly as I snuggled into his bulky frame. He kept me nice and warm as we walked deeper into the cave. If a horse could blush, I would be a dark scarlet color.
The Girlie;; My weather bonding baby, Rain Her Words;; 182 The Applause;; Hehe. She's a cutie! I can tell that she really likes Dia'Mante. Hope you like the post and sorry it took me so long, I'm super busy.

Dia'Mante I am strong, so you don't have to be...
Dia'Mante was a little confused as to why she was being so flirtatious, but he supposed he didn't mind much. He wished that she would stop acting like she'd known him forever, though, because already she was getting close to him. He felt slightly uncomfortable with that, especialy since she was acting like she loved him already. Love at first sight was a myth in his book. He wanted to get to know this mare Rain before anything happened. He would claim her for sure, but he couldn't say whether he wanted this close interaction yet. That's probably why he shuffled away a little when she leaned into him. "Excuse me, miss, I'm just not quite comfortable with such close contact yet, I'd like to get to know you first," he said, explaining why he had moved away just like the gentleman he was.
"No, ma'am, I'm a bachelor stallion...but if you'd let me, I could claim you?" he replied to her question and asked a question of his own. She really did seem like quite a nice mare and he would like to get to know her better.
