X a r a This is the place where dreams are made. Some are casted aside for later dates, and then others, were crushed without mercy. All in a day's time. So far, my day was going pretty well. I'd made good time from the beginning of Midnight Acres to Dream Falls, and hadn't ran across anything that would hinder my progress. A smug expression came across my face and I pulled my step into a prance, advancing towards the cascading waters, feeling a few of the droplets at a distance. It was rather refreshing after so much desert sand. Nothing could ruin the moment. [[ooc;; o.o no good with starting posts]]

x y l o n You appear to be lost, Xylon... but you're stubborn, you won't ask for directions, will you? Being a guy and all... Guys never ask for directions when they're lost, do they? Typical! With a loud snort the coppery bay stallion ducked his head low, weaving his way through the trees and aray of plantation that was scattered around him, his head suddenly shot up as he heard a murmuring of voices ahead... He wasn't alone. And what was this place exactly? He couldn't be sure, he only knew Coco Bay... Ah, Coco Bay, he'd grown fond of that place, and it also happened to be the place he met Disturbia... he sighed inwardly, knowing he didn't have much to offer Disturbia right now. She deserved to be around someone who was understanding, caring... he could be both those things if he put his mind to it, but what he wanted to give her more was a place to she could finally go home, and it was clear from the words she had spoken that her past was a pretty painful one. His left ear tilted forward upon his cranium as his thoughts drifted back to the present. He swallowed hard, realizing he was an outcast, an outsider, somebody who was new here and unknown to these parts, but he didn't want to come across as a coward... he wasn't weak. Flaring his nostrils he pressed his auds back to his crown and slithered through the trees once again until he found an exit through the doors, inhaling sharply he headed toward the light that shone through the darkness... and moments later he stumbled out into the open of Dream Falls. Instantly his eyes landed upon a female... she appeared to be alone, mostly it would've been beauty that would've drawn somebody in, but he was eager to find another female willing to join him so he could challenge for land, he wanted somebody with personality... good looks didn't meant an awful lot to young Xylon.
Quietly he approached her, but gave small grunts and snorts to alert her he was approaching, he didn't want to scare the poor dear. He halted close to where the damsel stood and flicked his ears forward... Don't think me a threat, I'm not threat... his mind pleaded as he pulled his gaze away from her to study his surroundings a few moments before he mumbled quietly, "hello there..." he grinded his teeth for a few moments, he shifted in the spot in which he stood as a feeling of unwelcome frustration suddenly coursed through his veins causing him to snap back his ears and stab a front hoof into the dirt. Now he looked as though he was prepared to go into a fight. Calm down for heaven's sake... theres nothing to be annoyed about... his mind hissed. He exhaled slowly, his ears slowly lifting, his thoughts were no longer on the present, they were elsewhere as he reminisced all the days in which he'd done wrong. It was much harder than he thought to turn over a new life and make himself a better being, there was no such thing as perfect, but he wanted to get as close to perfect as possible, but he doubted that would happen. His eyes slowly moved back to the female, "Xylon," he said quietly, stating his name, he shook his head slightly at himself, he suddenly looked tense and on edge as though he was expecting something to go wrong at any moment now... He was eager to apologize for his... odd behavior but he decided against it and merely flashed her a slight grin. "Who're you...?"

X a r a I whirled around towards him, both ears flying backwards to twist into my mane, the sudden rush of air sweeping my forelock sideways, covering a single pale eye, as it's twin flickered about taking in his open posture, though not long after, it turned rather agressive. A snarl flashed across my lips as I stepped back away from him, pulling up my neck and tucking my muzzle as close to my chest as was possible. I was no arabian, it would be rather difficult to bump the two locations together and still be able to breath regularly. My defensive stance didn't slack as I tottled backwards slightly in response to him stepping forward.
Xylon... the name raced around in my mind for a moment before becoming locked away somewhere safe, as to never forget this, different stallion. He relaxed again, though still rather tense, it calmed me to some extent, at least it didn't look like he was ready to tear into me now. An ear came up, trained on him as I took a few steps forward, bringing my muzzle out to reach towards him in a friendly gesture, before drawing it back to myself. I'm Xara. Nice to meet you, Xylon

x y l o n Quietly, Xylon watched the female before him, he sensed her aggression from his somewhat bad tempered approach to her. His ears flickered and tilted back slightly, showing he was on edge, he didn't want to distress her anymore than he already had... Right now, however, it seemed as though she was calm - to an extent... He ducked his head, sighing inwardly, his gaze sweeping to his left toward the horizon, watching as the sun sat contentedly upon the hill, shining its rays down over Dream Falls. Slowly, he blinked his amber eyes before turning his gaze back to her. Part of him was suddenly eager to turn on his heels, keep his head low and walk away, let the shadows of the trees swallow him whole... But he fought against it and stayed put, gradually lifting his head so it was level with hers, he eased as she reached out with her muzzle in a friendly gesture, his nostrils flared as he drew in her scent which began to mingle with his own. The smell of the trees and the grass also seemed to mingle with their scents. His ears slid forward as he caught her name. Xara. "Nice name," he commented casually, noting their names sounded a little similar. What did he do now? Did he cut the small talk and right away offer her a place in his herd at Verita Mountain? He made a chewing motion with his lips. Any wiser, more advanced stallion would've known what the Hell to do right now, but oh no, not Xylon. This was all... new to him, he began to feel a little under pressure as Xara stood before him, maybe she was secretly expecting some sort of... Knight, some sort of Warrior to come along and carry her off to their Kingdom. Xylon flared his nostrils as he snorted softly, keeping his gaze on Xara's now, "I'm guessing you're looking for a home?" he hinted, gosh... that sounded so lame and pathetic. He flashed her an apologetic look and glanced away before looking back at her, "I... reside at Verita Mountain," he informed her a little hesitantly, "I don't suppose... you've ever heard of Verita Mountain?" he asked her, feeling somewhat hopeless now as his lips set in a straight line, blinking his amber eyes at her now.
