» This was how it began - the nightmare. First there was darkness... then moments later their was a flicker of oranges, yellows and reds. Then the screams can, the distant screams... and she was helpless, scrambling through the darkness, scrambling away from the burning trees and plantation. "I'm coming, I'm coming!" she cried above the roaring of the fire... the screams grew louder as she grew nearer... she could feel her lungs screaming out air, they felt as though they were on fire as she choked and coughed horribly, stumbling and gasping her way through the night toward the burning, smoky forest... They could hear the screams suddenly fading... fading, fading, fading as she lost her footing and fell down onto her knees, cutting and bruising them... Beads of sweat began to build on her coat and began to bead on her forehead before gradually rolling down her face. Suddenly she saw the survivors, grouped together, stumbling out of the forest, cut and bruised... she pushed herself forward towards them, pulling the closest into an embrace the best she could... "stay here," she urged them, "get further to safety..." and she set off into the forest, stumbling and coughing as she went, she could heard screams... so many members were lost through the trees, they were getting caught up in the fire... they were going to die... she propelled herself into a gallop, leaping over fallen, burnt down trees... "I'm coming, I'm coming..." she gasped above the roaring of the fire once more... she could hear them scream out her name before silence seemed to fall, just the sound of roaring and crackling now... nothing more, nothing less as she came skiing to a halt, she saw a member of the herd - the Queen to be exact, she was fallen, injured... Kelly shrieked as she bolted forward but suddenly a mixture of black and orange blurred before her eyes as burning timber fell down before her eyes, blocking her path to the mare... "no!" Kelly cried frantically, striking at the fallen tree and recoiling with a shriek as the fire licked at her forelegs, she stumbled back and turned, she could hear another cry out her name, followed by horrid coughing, she saw someone stumbled through the smoke before they collapsed... rushing forward she tried to help them to their feet as she herd the survivors of the herd some distance away out in the safety calling for her to get out of the forest as quick as possible... but she couldn't leave these suffering survivors to stumble through the smoke, trying to find a way out of the forest until the fire claimed their lives.

» "C'mon, c'mon... you can stand... stand for me, please," Kelly begged the young male, forcing her head under his, attempting to urge him up to his feet, but the young male croaked and coughed, Kelly struggled to her feet and stepped back, her forelock clamped to her forehead now due to the sweat, she felt dizzy, weakened, she swayed slightly and stumbled back again, falling to the ground with a dull thud... the young male flashed her a weak smile and almost seemed to mouth a 'goodbye' before fire swirled up around him, burning the plantation and trees in an instant. "NO!" Kelly's horrified shriek was sounded as she scrambled to her feet, she turned and ran, dodging flickering flames and the burning plantation, she heard a loan groan and an awfully loud crack and her blue eyes which were alight with the orange of the fire flew skyward and a strangled cry escaped her as she saw another blur of black, brown and orange as the tree came flying down. She propelled herself on faster, the tree missed her... but running any slower she would've been crushed to death. She heard no more cries of help... So many lives had been claimed by this fire and she had failed to help them... her head ducked low as she fought back coughs, sobs and strangled screams, she burst out of the forest and into the open, bolting across the open stretch of land, the grass was black, burnt under foot... "Kelly, Kelly!" she heard the survivors call out to her as they rushed forward to greet her and embrace her shaking, trembling body as her eyes clamped tightly shut as she tried to over come what had just happened, what she had just seen playing out before her very eyes... She awakened from the recurring nightmare with a scream which she attempted to smother but failed, she had fallen asleep on the Coco Bay, hidden inside a fall cave.

» She was exhausted from her journey to Midnight Acres... Kelly swallowed hard and raised her head, her bright blue eyes peering out into the open, watching the waves licking and writhing against the shore and watching as the waves tossed back and forth. It was all in the past now, but it was just something you could never get over, having those you cared about die before you as you failed to reach them to save them. She could've saved them... but no, she failed to do, she watched them die... she had tried, but that didn't cross her mind, all she thought about was the fact that they had died. They had died... A lump rose in her throat as she came round from the nightmare that had once again awakened her, she flicked her hair back from her eyes and slowly closed them, suppressing a heavy sigh as she pulled herself up onto her feet before stumbling out into the open. This place looked empty, very quiet too apart from the odd shrieking of a seagull ahead and the crashing of the waves and the whistle of the wind, but other than that... there were no voices as she was expecting. Suddenly, she felt lonely, vulnerable... she could feel her throat tighten around the lump that had formed there as her eyes prickled, she couldn't quite tell if it was the horror of reliving the nightmare once again or whether it was the wind stinging at her eyes, whatever it was she blinked back the water from her eyes and attempted to swallow the lump. Ducking her head she tried to appear casual and calm as she strode slowly toward the sea... the sun light seemed weak right now, often hiding behind clouds, but when it shone it made her golden body glow.

» Her almost black hair danced and scattered about in the wind as she halted just where the water licked the shore, she looked down slowly as the water lapped gently at her hooves and exhaled softly in another sigh, lowering her white crown toward the water as she pushed a large, white shell around with her muzzle, her black tipped ears tilting back toward her head as her head suddenly flew up, sudden movements and sounds catching her by surprise, making her stomach flip and twist anxiously. Shutting her eyes tightly she concentrated on controlling her breathing before letting her eyes slowly open, her tone sounding a little demanding and sharp as she called out, "hello?" she sounded a little impatient, almost as though she was anxious she was being watched from afar, a feeling of paranoia swept over her but quickly eased when an odd silence seemed to settle over Coco Bay. The wind seemed to stop for a few minutes, the gulls weren't so active today and seemed to have taken shelter somewhere, sensing the weather wouldn't stay mild as it was right now. And sure enough... moments later, soft sheets of rain began to fall, it was that sort of fine rain that was often hard to see but it seemed to soak you so quickly... she blinked rapidly as the droplets of rain were caught on her dark, pretty lashes.
"Look whoever is out there just show yourself," she raised her voice irritably, narrowing her eyes slightly, almost fully aware that she wasn't alone... or so she thought anyway.

- It's showtime honey

» There wasn’t anyone on this planet that could possibly guess that was running through the red-tinted mare’s brain at the moment; her eyes were narrowed, her pupils focused on something far out in the distance – yet her stance was completely relaxed, at ease, something she usually never did – especially not in public. The wind was dancing around her bodice, playing with the sensitive hairs along her broad spine – but the gesture didn’t seem to connect to the mare’s brain. Beneath her grey flints the ocean was roaring with all its might – desperately trying to cling to her feet, gain some sort of reward – recognition for touching such a delicate yet fierce creature’s royal feet; or at least that was what Lilith thought. The wind grew more fearsome in its attempts to be noticed, to gain the Queen’s attention – but found itself failing miserably as her gaze staid locked upon the horizon – upon the land faraway.

» I slowly twisted my crown as a young seagull screamed somewhere out in the distance – awakening me from my trance; how long had I been here? I cast a short glance at the stormy skies sweeping across the hidden sky above me. I had probably been here for an hour or two – yet it felt like so much longer, it usually did when you stopped to philosophize about life – about your achievements so far and what awaited you in the future. I was the daughter of the two most important equines on the face of the earth – at least they were in my mind, my father had given the throne to my elder brother, but he had still owned it first – placed giant hoof prints that Intrepid would have a hard time filling out. But hey! Intrepid was my full-brother so I didn’t doubt his abilities – his skills and his influence. I blinked a couple of times as the image of my missing dam flashed through my brain; where had she gone to? Somehow her disappearance didn’t surprise me – she had been the most powerful mare on the earth for many years and she wouldn’t let others see her with a position less than that. Red nose wrinkled slightly as a frantic scream cut through my thoughts – cut directly into my bones with the sheer intensity of it; immediately I decided to investigate.

» Yes I was the most promising prospect on the face of the earth at the moment; I was impregnated by my faithful partner and on the way to becoming Queen of my own territory. The mere thought of me filling such an important role made all the hairs upon my chestnut body rise in excitement. But would I even be fit for such a role? Perhaps not. Perhaps I was meant to be a wanderer – a searcher; or perhaps I was just meant to birth the most powerful foals on the planet? There were so many paths – so many different choices open to me and I was young still. Fiery pillars carried me across the sands towards the cave of which the scream had erupted from; was the mare hurt? Would I be able to taste her red blood upon my pink tongue? The mere thought made my mouth water and my snake-like tongue curl out to slowly slide across my sensitive lips. I stopped a few meters from the cavern the mare resided in to observe for a few seconds. Above me the sky opened – pouring its tears of grief down upon my still slender frame – effectively soaking me in mere seconds. I loved the rain – it brought new life to the face of the earth; life that could easily be crushed underneath my grey flints. Upon my maw a wolfish smirk appeared as the mare’s irate voice rang out and touched my sensitive ears – gently caressing them with her harmonic voice.

» I didn’t feel like making the mare wait any longer – didn’t feel like prolonging and playing with her fears today; perhaps another day, when I wasn’t getting more and more soaked with each passing second. Slowly I urged my pillars forward – hooves hammering against the cold cave floor as I approached the vulnerable mare. “Perhaps you should have kept quiet” I warned her – the wolfish smile still intact upon my red lips. “But seeing as I’m in a pleasant mood today, I guess it doesn’t matter” I continued in a sweet – almost purring voice. I edged forward towards the buckskin mare to observe her more closely; did I know her? Nah, she could perhaps be related to this Snyper guy my sister had the hots for seeing as her orbs held the same sapphire tint. “I’m Lilith” If I could I would have raised an eyebrow to stare at the golden mare as I awaited her reaction and her answer.
