Chimera
My light golden palomino legs made the way towards the land I had seen Black go. I then happen to see a tiny little animal that happen to be out and I just had to go and follow the little thing, before I knew where it had gone I then noticed that I was lost, and did not know where I was, turning my little palomino painted body around towards the way I had come from, lowering my nares towards the ground, as the wind began to get a little stronger, as soon as I caught a faint scent I knew I decide to follow to see where the scent was leading me to. I hoped that I was going the right way towards the land, as the scent grew stronger I knew I was heading the right way towards my new home. As my little hooves entered the new land, my light golden auds pricked forward when I heard rushing water, as soon as I turned my crown around so that I could see what I was walking next to made me jump a little bit away from I, while a little squeal came out of my maw. I turned my little body around towards the rushing water, I had not see water moving that fast before.

carbon rolled out of gently flared midnight nares as the draft pixie stood, a black silhouette against the clouded over sun. she watched her land unfurl away from her toward the horizon, onyx gaze softly falling upon the half-frozen lake at the center of the land, then tracing the winding river that fed the body of water to its source, from high in the mountains that rose, jagged and black, out of the north horizon. she scoured the geography for anything unusual, resting her hind foot lazily upon the ground, thinking. it was a place where she often went to be a lone, to think, to just relax. and it was easiest here, when she could keep an eye on the goings on below; it was comforting to know that everything was silent and calm below. nothing was wrong.
she sighed, a contented exhale, her eyelids drooping ever so slightly, basking in the cool fall air, when her sharp optics caught sight of a spot of light near the river below, an unnaturally yellow dot amongst the blacks and grays of winter. she strained her eyes, tensing up, to see distinctly just what that tiny dot was. it was moving at a steady pace, bobbing up and down in a rhythmic jog she recognized as a trot; it was an equine, that much she could distinguish at this distance. she would have to get closer.
long auds flickered, and pinned, one swiveling forth to focus on the object of her attention. a moment of indecision washed over her sculpted cranium, before her stilts set into motion, a lazy, three beat canter carrying her irregularly splashed bodice down the hill.
as the draft mare drew closer, she slowed to a smooth walk, upon sighting the little filly. she smiled involuntarily; she had always loved little babies, and this one seemed lost. the sight of the foal reminded isis of her own babe. she'd almost forgotten. she glanced back at her swollen stomach, a small smile pulling at her ebonite maw. spring would take on a whole new meaning this time around. she returned her gaze to the tiny palomino filly, and stopped a few meters from her dainty form, not wishing to scare the baby.
"hello, honey," she began in a warm voice, eyes glowing. her words stopped, though as she gazed at the filly more. her color reminded her of someone... of... nevaeh? was this her little foal? she inhaled sharply, and decided to go on. she was probably imagining it. "are you looking for someone?" she went on, lowering her cranium to meet the little fae's eyes. hopefully she wouldn't be too intimidating to the little foal. perhaps her name would make her seem less scary. "i'm isis, the second in command in this place, forgotten valley.
ooc; the draft cavalry is here!! ;]

(ava) (two mirrors faced one another)
Whatever lingering feelings the draft mare had once posessed, they were now buried under that un-mistakeable feeling; as sappy as it sounded, she'd fallen in love again. Once from Monte, her prior king, and now with Black, the new king. When you're around someone who's finally got a sense of allure, you no longer admire them; you love them. Full crown gave a gentle shake, ashen sprinkled tresses billowing in the freezing winter breeze. Nares began to puff out plumes of carbon; she watched with a faint smile as it twisted and turned, before falling apart before her amber orbitals. Brief smile rose to the mare's pale lips, enlarged form shifting to face away from the winds; the colt numbed her pregnant body, numbing it. Pleasured sigh left the mare, thick, feathered talons striking the iced over ground, beginning to walk.
Her attitude was morphed as she strode upon her homeland. Radars lifted skyward bound, squeal reaching them. Concerned whicker left the queen's throat, stiff statue rushing forward, thick crown raised up on a tight neck. Amber's scanned the powdered land, spotting her fellow royal, and personal friend, Isis. Alerted noise traveled through her throat, emitting into the frosty air, and Ava set off after her second in command, swollen form managing a stealthy canter. Pace shifted back, spotted figure arriving close to the base line of the squeals, and her lips formed a silent murmer of surprise. There stood an active, if not fragile figure was staring into the Valley's water source. The figure was strangely familiar, but she couldn't recall it, unfortunately. Worried gaze was shifted to Isis, and she watched the gypsy mare for a few moments, then spoke cautiously. "Oh, sweet child. Are you looking for Black?" The draft mare explained quietly, keeping a respectful distance between herself and the tiny form.
ooc; decided to post now so no one would have to wait. went ahead and assumed that sister Isis was already there. =]

BLACK CHAMPAGNE } { Start with straight shots and then pop bottles Flirt with the hood rats then pop models Start with straight shots and then pop bottles Flirt with the hood rats then pop models } In an uncomfortable situation the stallion tilted his head towards the bark of the dead tree, rubbing his poll on it and tangling up his foretressels in an attempt to get rid of the massive headache he had aqquired over the last week. Pitch black form stood, lips smacking while head rested upon the tree, hind leg tilted outwards as hips swayed in some sort of pushing battle with the unmoving object. Tail flicked in annoyance as he knew it wouldn't move, it was just something to try for now. The scents of Intrepid were everywhere around his snowcovered lands, was he here to mingle or propose something? It didn't matter, atop his leader hill he could see two heavy members of his drifting towards something on the horizon and it made him ever so curious, but alas he did not move from his spot playing push-the-tree, just kept curious teal-tinted eyes on the pregnant females, making sure they did not get into any danger. Giving a sigh he leaned back and pushed his muscular chest against the bark, scratching slightly to relieve an itch that had taunted his skin before he was still once more, just a mere shadow upon the lands.
Isis had caught his attention first, as she was the most noticable. Ava was like a snow-leopard, blending in and stalking up on her unexpecting prey. She wouldn't have been noticed if it weren't for her multiple dark brown spots upon her knabstrup pelt, but that gave her an advantage on sneaking upon enemies and such. Now he was a different story, he could see him a mile away. 90% of Forgotton Valley's mares were either grey or white, and he on the other hand was pitch black, therefor he couldn't stun his enemies with a suprise attack, he'd just have to attack and hope for the best. As he studied the drafts a little more he noticed that they were both heading towards the same thing: itty bitty Chimera. Audits flipped backwards and mug turned slightly while eyebrows darted upwards, eyes narrowing to focus much much more on them before he moved himself into a jaunty trot, lifting up his legs to avoid the snow clinging to his ebonite pelt.
As he approuched them he expanded his teardrop nares slightly and tossed his head back. "Isis, so nice to see you're filling out for the winter," he teased slightly, taking a gentle nip upon her nape and lipping at her tressels before sidestepping towards the other mare, "Nice to see you too, Ava. Looking a little on the plump side, just how I like my mares," he snorted, eyes adverting their gazes before returning to the little palomino painted filly. Taking a step towards her he dipped his head and bumped his chin with her chest, pushing her back away from the water to be sure she didn't fall in and meet an untimely death. "I couldn't help but notice you had your eyes on little Chimera," he spoke casually, rolling his shoulder forward in a shrug before he let out a sigh. "It's good to have her here but she also comes bearing sad news," he murmured, turning to face the gathered mares with flaming eyes, "Her mum Nevaeh.. was killed by Chaos and is now in a better place."

Chimera
My light golden auds stayed fixed upon the fast running water, it was very loud for me to hear. Then my light golden auds flicked backwards when I heard hooves coming closer towards my painted body. I then turned my little palomino painted crown towards the noise that was coming towards me. Out of my seeing blue orb I then saw a large black and white mare, both my light golden auds pricked forward hearing the vocals from the large, then when I heard them name I tipped my little crown towards the left hand side, I sort of recognized the name but I could not remember where from, but I think my mummy told me about her. I did not know if I was more scared or just more curious about her, I had not seen anything in her color before, I knew that my mummy had been a painted horse but not as big as her, I then opened my half pink half grey colored maw Isis, mummy friend? [/size] I then began to shake my little palomino painted body, my auds the flicked backwards when I remembered that I was by a large waterfall, as I was listening to the sound of rushing water, as my blue orb then saw another different colored horse coming towards me as well I moved back a little bit. I then pricked a little left light golden aud pricked forward listening to the very spotted mare’s vocals. When I felt a little nudge upon my body, which made me move way from the waterfall, I the turned my crown around to see that it was Black, both of my light golden auds pricked forward, and my body little yearling body was relaxed when I saw Black, but when I heard the name Chaos my little auds went back against my crown. ~~~~~~~~ Nevvy's Notes Horse: Chimera Muse: Very good Comments: very cute. a tiny sigh escaped the draft mare's lungs as she observed the tiny foals expression wander from confusion, to enlightenment and back again as she attempted to place isis's name. it seemed like she'd heard it before, but simply could not match the mare to the calling. then, after a bit of silence, the filly spoke, three words that stopped the gentle fae's heart: "Isis, mummy friend?" so this was nevaeh's foal? this minuscule, lovable, adorable filly that stood, gangly-legged before the splotched second-in-command? "yes," she exhaled a long, slow breath. then why was she here? shouldn't nevaeh be taking care of her foal, like she'd asked of isis when they had first me so long ago in coco bay?
she then noticed, as she tore her gaze away from the almost mesmerizing palomino filly, that black, her king, had arrived, along with ava, her queen and personal friend. he nipped her shoulder gently, teasingly, coy lyrics remarking of her swelling belly. she grinned, "yes, it's so lovely to look like a walking boulder, isn't it?" she said in a laughing, lilting voice. her new bulk was often unwieldly to maneuver, but she was lowly becoming accustomed to the extra weight. no doubt the little filly has heard -and probably felt her thunderous gallop- isis's rather ungainly approach.
black's next words answered her unspoken query as to nevaeh's whereabouts, her attention snapping to the stately frame of her leader and king. "I couldn't help but notice you had your eyes on little Chimera.... It's good to have her here but she also comes bearing sad news.... Her mum Nevaeh.. was killed by Chaos and is now in a better place," black finished, eyes blazing subtly with fervor. tears immediately stung the gypsy's onyx optics, though she held them back silently, instead placing her anxious gaze upon black, then ava, and at last shifting to the immobile, tiny frame of chimera, nevaeh's daughter.
chaos. the name sparked a red hot coal of hatred in isis's heart. why had he killed poor nevaeh? oh, she should have been there. poor, kind, lovely nevaeh.... stupid, worthless, idiotic chaos. perhaps some day he would meet his end, painfully. but she was pulled instantly out of her plans for murder by a terrifying thought. chaos had taken out nevaeh already. would he come for chimera? she barely knew the golden filly, but already, she felt compelled to protect her life, to keep her away from her murderous father. she could do that much. this was what nevaeh had asked of her, and that painted mustang fae had been isis's first friend. she wouldn't let her down.
isis glanced over at ava, a glint of purpose and possessiveness smoldering subtly in the shimmering, limpid depths of her onyx eyes. her nares flared gently, and she glanced at black. "very well then..." she sighed, "i shall keep an eye on chimera, if that is alright with you all.. i'm sure you, ava, would help me in such a task?" she asked in a quiet voice, shifted her gaze to the spotted mare for a moment before once again returned to look at chimera. "and i am sorry for you loss, dear. terribly sorry. your mother was a good friend of mine. she would have wanted you to come here." she took a hesitant step forward, lowering her cranium and stretching her boa to gently rub the little filly's shoulder. she hoped chimera would not mind....

(ava) (with a sound they reflect the other)
The moments that ticked by as the draft mare watched the fragile being had left her thinking of her past junior's; pale hued lips twitched in the rememberance of her past life, and only after she'd regrutfully remembered that the sun-kissed had yet to hear Ava's calling, the draft mare parted her maw, and quietly offered herself. "Oh yes, I am Ava, the empress of this Valley." Amber eyes slid sideways to her meet her friend's gaze, faint sigh leaving the mare's lips as she returned her gaze to the unstable one of the child's. Aerials flipped back, tiara sidling to to the side, relieved at the mere appearance of her emperor. Lips spread in a reserved smile for the sleek crusader, open chuckle escaping from deep within her throat at the male's testing words. "Nice to see you too, Ava. Looking a little on the plump side, just how I like my mares," Lilting voice interrupted the silence after her second-in-command spoke, maw reaching out to nap playfully at her king's tangled tresses. "Likewise Black, hah. It's a lot harder to remain stealthy when you're a walking earthquake." Another napping motion was thrown to Black's solid form; amber optics looked from Black, then to Isis, finally landing on the slender offspring.
Questions began to form on the queen's mind when Black again spoke. Delicate facade flattened into a hard, troubled line; that bastard! heart grew heavy for the orphaned child, amber optics smoldering as she took a side glance to her fellow royals - noticing in two glances that Isis seemed to be taking the news of Chaos's bloody attack. Trembling touch was given to the Gypsy partner, soft exhale released into the chilled air. That bastard, taking the child's mother. Aerials flipped back, mind reeling on her past experiences with Chaos. Although they hadn't personally met - something Ava was glad for; the damn hellion needed to be taken down! To avoid her seething attitude from leaking into the frosty air, Ava's gaze floated up to the flurried sky overhead and released an abrupt snort. ''i'm sure, ava, you would help me in such a task?'' Lingering optics slid to Isis' form, the intensity in the mare's dark eyes' surprising. Assured nod was given to her friendl voice spilled out, aerials flickering forward to Chimera's small frame - unfortunately, the experience needed to handle this situation was lacking, so the spotted mare offered all of her condolences. "I'm so sorry, dear. Unfortunately, I did not know your mother, but I am sure that she loves you with all of her heart." Faint smile rose to the mare's lips, her gaze rising to the group, silence falling upon them.
