S e r p e n t
The black stallion Made his way across the land that he once called home with his adopted mother and father, Riku’s land. Hoping he was still welcome in this land he trotted onwards. Even though Serpent was now pretty much a full dark he still had a heart and he missed his adopted mother, Jaliya.
Holding his body with pride Serpent picked up the scent of his Adopted father Ruki…. Would I still be allowed here in my old home? Serpent asked himself hoping that Ruki and Jaliya have not forgotten him and allow him to live here until claiming a land of his own…
Swinging his tail and ears pricked forward Serpent started picking up more and more scents some known and others unknown. Covering a very small hill Serpent seen the expanded herd grazing on the frozen ground… Serpent held his breathe but then called out to his unblooded family.
“Ruki… Jaliya”

maRaluXia I materialized from the edge of the woods, the black behind me blending nicely with the black that covered my body, except for the rosy-tinted mane and tail which were now flecked with snow. The call had aroused my attention, and the need to protect. It was my job after all, so I was sorta forced to do it. Both of my ears twisted back, deeper into my oddly coloured mane, a visible threat. I didn't know who this guy was, and I didn't know why he was calling out for the Riku and Jaliya. My yearling frame glided forward to him, narels expanding as the gap closed slowly, the moment painstaking. Maybe Riku would show up within that time and explain why he was here, maybe he wouldn't and I'd have to ask for myself. My yearling mind whirled, and my approach steadied into an even march, getting closer, every second, my facade an expressionless mask, hiding the turmoil within.

S e r p e n tI watched the little equine march towards me, the sight to me was funny. This equine’s attempted threat was a laugh to me; Jaliya would probably have his head if the colt could get it. I watched the colt close the gap between us, it was obvious that this little horse did not know whom I was or he would not be doing this funny dance like march towards me… unless Riku no longer wanted me here. I know I have disappointed him by disappearing for almost three and a half years then my sudden show up here at my old home… I would most likely get a good bitching at by both Riku and Jaliya for leaving like I did.
“Clam Down runt. I am Riku and Jaliya’s adopted son.” My voices were cold and harsh toward the young spunky colt.

{ JALIYA ´ - a fierce storm Chocolate mane danced with the wind as I patrolled the outer borders of the Lake purely out of boredom. There wasn’t much to do at the moment – everything was quiet, perhaps a little too quiet, but why complain when nothing was wrong? Bay nose wrinkled slightly as the raw scent of stallion invaded my sensitive nostrils; it took my brain a couple of seconds to analyze the scent, before I recognized it. Serpent? Hazel frame froze – all muscles tensed – as I tried to locate his position; Help arrived soon enough though, as his cold lyrics rang across the land – calling for me and my mate. Immediately I spun around and started to canter towards the place of which the call had erupted from. Brown ears pricked forward as I neared him, no wait, them? The scent of another stallion invaded my nostrils and a frown crept upon my features, the other scent was somehow familiar though – had he been at the herd meeting? Probably, but I had been way too busy being pissed off at Riku to notice. I entered the scene just in time to see the unknown yearling approach my baby with an expressionless mask. I didn’t waste any time stepping in the young stallion’s path – effectively blocking his path to Serpent. “He speaks the truth” I informed the yearling with a somewhat cold voice; I didn’t know this stallion – so how was I supposed to act? I felt out of place, so instead of lingering I twisted my crown around to stare at my adopted son. “Where have you been young man?” I questioned the black hellion with a demanding tone before prowling closer to his matured body. “I’m not sure if I should cry or yell at the moment” I concluded as I circled his ebonite bodice, my hazel orbs scanning his frame for scars, wounds and other marks. I wanted so badly to be mad at him – tell him that it was irresponsible to vanish like he had done, but he was a stallion and I couldn’t ask him to fight his nature; I was just pleased to have him back in good health.

Listless expression rested on my sculpted façade as I eased about the Lake’s edges. Sapphire eyesight were aimed ahead of my dappled form, narrowed to the slightest degree, gaze falling upon random forms of the lithe. Boredom crossed over me, dry laugh rising up through my silky throat - where could everyone had gone? The Lake was absolutely desolate, not counting myself and the newest arrivals. Eye sight wandered out, dished crown giving an annoyed flick; pale ashen tresses swung about, hiding my pale opticals from the outside sunlight that dared to slip through the forested bunkers. Nares inhaled a deep breath of freezing air, holding it in the depths of my lungs before releasing it slowly, and my was I surprised when I caught the most familiar scent. With it brought older memories, perhaps ancient. ”Hey kid.. got some revenge on your mind?” Carbon was let out randomly in the form of a chuckle, but all the same, I let my appendages redirect their path towards the eruptive, strained vocals. Crown momentarily was thrown back, and equal call given to the eldest step-son, you could say. By the time I'd arrived to the scene - my prior thoughts realized, Serpent was back! - Marluxia had gone to investigate. Crown shook slightly as my gaze rested on his immature, gangly form, then slid to where Serpent actually stood, spotting my mate's form. Tingling smle formed on pale kissers was dulled slightly, limbs easing toward the two. It seemed.. that the only time I really remembered Serpent was when we had first arrived to the Lake, when Jaliya was attacked, and the colt had followed my pitiful self home. "It's alright Marluxia.. I know this one." Approving nod was given to the rosy hued yearling, gaze returning to the duo. Form drew to a halt before the bay queen and the black charger, azure opticals watching the mother and child interact silently. "Nice to see you back, son." Words were simple, dished facade reaching out the the ebon pelted stallion, giving him an affectionate shove. ooc; done. bad. x(

maRaluXia I paused, backwheeling from the queen as she intercepted my path. No way would I want to be at the receiving end of an attack from her. I slithered back a few more steps, my hindlegs catching one another and forcing me to jump forward to avoid falling over. A low flood of heat washed over my withers at the embarassment of the situation, until it struck me that the mother and son pair were too involved with one another to realize my blunder. My mind wandered away as I became oblivious to the situation around me, just bidding my time until Riku would show up and there'd be somebody around that I actually knew.
I didn't have to wait long. My ear fell sideways to his voice and a low hum of greeting left my chest as I headed towards him with sweeping strides, trying to practice being graceful, but it failed miserablely and I turned out looking like I was stumbling around, even if my legs hadn't gotten caught up in one another. 'kay I chided as I met the king, pushing my muzzle against his shoulder before turning my bodice, alinging it parrell to his.

S e r p e n tAs I watched a bay body interfere the young runt’s march I very quickly realized that this big beautiful body was my adopted mother, Jaliya. I tensed up almost instantaneous at the sound and tone of her harsh voice towards the runt but then she turned towards me, and I felt that the time when I was only a bitty baby foal and I still had my winter pelt and I rolled myself in poison ivy and then rubbed against everyone in the herd just after they had sped their thick protective winter pelt, making most of the equines lose patches of pelt because of the itching they endured, I remember the look and the beating Jaliya had given me that time and today right now I felt like that little troublemaker foal again. I listened to her words then I picked up the scent of Riku. oh no his is going to kill me too I thought to myself as Jaliya stared me down hard with her piercing eyes. I listened to Riku’s hoof beats as they came closer upon us, then his voice echoed through my ears which on laid back and the other half cocked sideways, thick black (once pride holding) tail tucked low tight against my dock rump held a little low as well. But thank god Riku was a little nicer welcoming me a bit more then my mother did. I was not entirely sure if I was still allowed to call Jaliya my mother or If Riku would still accept the name Father from me… so I tried out my luck on them “Mother? I am sorry I couldn’t get things straightened out in my head I had to leave for a while… but I am back and I promise not to do that to you again…” I turned my head looking at my adopted father, Riku, seeing what he would do or say…
