Riku had spoken about? it didn't seem very lovely to the buckskin splashed pixie, but it was her home. She would learn to love it. Oh well, she thought, trying to look on the bright side of things. Riku's here. That would make this place bearable. But why such a gloomy place? Hopefully all his mares would be tolerable. She found that most equines that inhabited such terras were often cruel and bitchy, something quiet and gentle Nyx never quite understood. She'd meet them soon enough. x.x[/ul] Black and cream stilts brought the painted bodice of the vixen into a clearing, where the trees no longer blocked out the sunlight, though the space itself was still a little gloomy. A large, reflective mirror lake was centered in the clearing, with what used to be a bed of roses growing along a small stretch of shoreline. Of course, it was fall, and the roses were long past flowering season. A few faded red petals of the beautiful plants fluttered at the edges of her vision, feebly stirred from the ground by the gentle, caressing wind that twirled through the trees. x.x[/ul] She slowed to a halt by the lake, glancing about with onyx optics, waiting for the shadowy steel frame of her new kind to enter her field of vision. x.x [/ul]

Talons struck the earth, so affirmed of the position, the destination, everything. Hm. It felt great to return home.. Even if 'home' wasn't really happy to see you. Limbs continued their easy strut, mind allowed to wander to the present dilemma's in life. Azure optics fell to the scanning lithe as it passed by, quite surprised at myself. By myself, I was doing okay, and it was odd to think that way. The ability to uphold a certain sense of happiness in life, despite all the unsightly bumps and bruises - well, it was amazing. Those random thoughts reminded me of someone, smile spreading across my lips as I recalled the figure that reminded me of such happier times; Nyx. When had I last seen the pinto mare? Lips flickered in small traces of a smile; It was rare times when I was able to let myself relax, forgetting about everything. Nyx was one of the few that didn't have the darkness clawing in her heart. Just the thoughts of the pinto mare made my pace quicken into a steady jog; she would have arrived to the Lake by now, correct? Dished crown rose, expressionless facade held steady, glancing around my home with restless opticals. Where was she? Soft nicker rose through my throat, pushed into the air on a warm updraft, azure eyes glancing about the bleak atmosphere for the pixie, relieved when I'd managed to spot her abrupt outline, despite the mid-afternoon mist that beckoned to thicken the air, suffocating everyone encased in it. Dappled form eased forward, smile again rising to my lips - it soon faded. What the hell would Nyx be doing in such a dreary place like this? Chuckle was emitted into the chilled air, followed by a set voice, kind and welcoming. "You made it!" Mug reached out affectionetly, bumping the joyful mare upon her buckskin hued neck, voice contiuing my warm greeting. "Welcome to the Lake.. It's not what you may think." Eye sight slid to meet Nyx's, and I offered her a vague smile, growing quiet beside her form. ooc; ew, mine's crappier. x(
