x y l o n You shouldn't wander like this. Its not good. You're going to get lost one of these days and then you'll be helpless... just as you were when you were child - but, oh... I forgot, you try not to reminisce these days. Where are you exactly? Well, near a lot of Mountains, quite clearly, I mean, its hard not to miss 'em, they're huge... you lived in a place like this once, maybe you 'ought to turn round and walk back the way you came, it'll probably only bring back unwanted memories, right? Oh, well, guess I'm wrong... Curiosity always seems to get the better of you these days. This place seems empty. I'm guessing its not claimed by someone else then? His brow furrowed slightly as he drew to a halt, clearly deep in thought now. Slowly, he pushed himself forward into a jog, silky hair bouncing on his arched neck, muscles standing out perfectly as the sunlight scattered over his copper pelt. He was a lanky young stallion with this big saucer eyes and tear shaped nostrils, muscles in all the right places. Suddenly his floating movement came to a halt once more and he threw his head up high catching a scent upon the breeze... a stallions and a mares quite possibly? The atmosphere didn't match the beauty of the day, the atmosphere seemed a little... dead, tense... he could tell something had happened as there was no equine in sight, and judging by the near enough fresh hoof prints in the grass and dirt he knew their had been a group of horses residing here recently. His brow furrowed further, flames seemed to flicker in those large, saucer like eyes now, nostrils flaring as he inhaled and exhaled sharply. What had gone on? Curiosity crept over him, but he pushed it down along with the sudden rush of adrenaline mixed with frustration, he exhaled in a soft sigh to calm himself suddenly feeling himself become a little... giddy at the realization that suddenly hit him.
No matter what'd gone on, this land was empty... Free of a ruler - for now. There was nothing to stop him stomping down his foot and claiming these Mountains for his own, was there? A shrill cry was sounded as he propelled himself forward into a gallop, tearing off across the open stretch of land until he came to the foot of a Mountain and slowed his pace to find the rocky trail that lead up the mountain, his eyes darted here and there and a slight smirk dashed over his lips as he began to speed his way up it. Eventually he made it to the top and peered down across the empty land... There was no life here, but that would change, maybe at some stage he'd become as successful as his brother, Desert Fire had once been. He smiled broadly at the thought and cried out again, perhaps this time sounding more threatening and dominant as his hooves struck the ground and clawed through the air as though it were his enemy. Moments later the adrenaline drained from his veins and his hooves flew back down to the connect with the rocky ground underfoot once more. No words were spoken as he cried out a third time, this time sounding louder, to alert any of those who may be lingering on the borderline that this was his place now... Nobody would take it from him and he was determined to prove that.

DISTURBIA
But baby, your so unusual. didn't anyone tell you your s'posed to, break my heart I expect you to, so why haven't you..
I tried my upmost best to match pace with my new companion, Xylon. But before long, the bones in my lower legs began to throb and i had no choice but to stop and rest for almost half an hour, before carrying on at no faster than a trot. I had nothing to go by, but the scent of the bay stallion and as the wind had picked up, it was almost impossible for me to keep track. The rain began to fall soon after the wind had arrived, first, with little spits, but then it got much heavier, drenching my two-toned coat in seconds, my mane clung to my neck, forelock twisted around my face. Slightly dished crown lowered into the force of the gail and i let out a shrill whinny for Xylon. Where was he? I had no clue where i was. The only place i had known apart from the recent visit to Black Lake, was the beach and whenever it rained, i just sheltered in a cave until it was over, but what now? I was alone, scared and lost with only the slightly scent of Xylon. As the weather hardened again, i found myself picking up a painful canter as to catch the scent of the bay once more. Ignoring the searing pains in my legs, i would no doubt pay for it later, but atleast i would be safe. safe? really? Would he protect me? Crown lowered even more so into the high speed winds and i tripped, going down head first into the mud, sliding for sometime down a small slope. I cried out, and attepted to pick myself up, slipping again, but eventually finding some grip and pulling my sodden carcass up out of the brown mess. I raised my cranium and audits pulled themselves forward as a much stronger scent came through my nostrils. With a releived sigh, i trotted forwards, hopping lame, into the lands where Xylon was. In the far distance, i spotted a figure high up the mountain side. I raised my crown and called out for help, but then retreated to a nearby cluster of trees for shelter from the harsh weather. Once neatly tucked away in the tightly packed cluster, i allowed my front legs to buckle underneath me, closly followed by my hind as i slunk down into the almost dry patch of grass. "Xylon.." I murmered, my crown tipping to the side to rest on my swollen legs. Character: Disturbia Status: Complete Word Count: 413 Comments: Bless her. Hope the sudden weather change is okay with you guys xD i thought it might make Xylon appreciate her more *grin* [/blockquote]

x y l o n If you get any closer to the edge you’re going to fall, y’know? Maybe you’re curious to know what its like to tumble forward over a mountain edge and go flailing through the air to the ground below… maybe it’ll feel as though you’re flying – not that you’re going to try it of course… That would just be stupid. And you’re not stupid, are you? … Or maybe you are and you just haven’t realized it yet. Oh, the weather changed pretty quick, didn’t it? It could potentially be a storm… a storm brewing steadily… quickly, Xylon’s gaze flickered skyward, he could see the clouds were a dark grey, close together too, not to mention heavy with rain. He shook his sodden hair from his face, droplets of rain landing gently on his dark lashes, he blinked them away rapidly, his ears pressing back against his head as he swayed and wobbled, nearly losing his footing on the edge. He heard a muffled, distant cry… it sounded as though it was coming from below the mountain however. He peered over his shoulder before his gaze peered over the mountain edge. Nope, nothing. Just trees, more trees and a bunch of plants that gradually lead out into the flat, open land. If it had been Disturbia or Snyper he would’ve known by the scent, but it was raining so heavily now that it probably covered up the scent. He furrowed his brow, a feeling of un-welcomed frustration bubbling in the pits of his stomach, he sighed irritably, taking a few steps back away from the edge, beads of rain water rolling down his face and sliding off the end of his muzzle, dropping off his chin. Sharply he flicked his sodden, soaking tail and winced at the sharp, stinging pain it brought as he flicked it against hind legs, his teeth were bared behind sealed lips and he wheeled round, nearly slipping on the wet rocky ground underfoot. Nostrils quivered as he inhaled sharply, he snorted loudly, warning off any intruders that might have showed up… surely their wasn’t somebody intruding upon his territory already?
Xylon figured he best investigate and quickly he propelled himself forward into a gallop, his lanky, ashen limbs carrying his lithe body with ease down the mountain. He slipped a little now and then, often slowing down before speeding up again, but it was expected on the now sodden ground. Eventually, he reached the foot of the mountain and peered around, his nostrils now flaring quickly, ears pinned back tightly, he was totally unaware that it may just be Disturbia or Snyper, now his mind was set upon finding this so called ‘intruder’ who he believed to be on his land but he was suddenly at ease as he hurried forward and spotted Disturbia lying in the shelter of the trees and plantation… she appeared worn out and her legs appeared swollen and painful. A worried look quickly crossed his face and his ears slowly lifted, twitching anxiously as he outstretched his neck and moved his muzzle toward her neck, breathing gently over her neck as he scooted closer. “Disturbia?” he murmured quietly, his heart slamming against his chest now as the feeling of anxiety and fear crept upon him, feelings he had never truly experienced until now. Slowly he lowered himself down onto his knees, the rest of his body following as he lay himself down beside her, frantically nudging at her neck, “what’s wrong? Are you ill?” he then realized how worried he sounded and quickly shut up and it was clear that she was in pain, “is there anything I can do to help?” the answer to that would probably be for him to shut up… he furrowed his brow, turning his softened, worried gaze away from her, confused by these sudden… softer feelings. His gaze turned back to Disturbia, but his expression wasn’t masked and unreadable like usual, it was still soft, anxious looking… he shuffled closer, pressing his body lightly to hers before resting his cheek against her shoulder.

DISTURBIA
But baby, your so unusual. didn't anyone tell you your s'posed to, break my heart I expect you to, so why haven't you..
My frame barely moved as i lay there, gasping for soon air, great heaves of my sides were barely visable unless one stood extra close. Thought flashed through my head. It was weather similiar to this in which i had brutaly attacked and murdered Storm, my deceased sisters best friend. A quiet sob was released, and a single tear slowly trickled down my cheek. What was wrong with me..why was i so emotional and well, disturbed? Being brought up under such strict rules perhaps? Being forced to do things i didn't want to do, maybe. I doubted i would ever know the answer. As the storm picked up, a sharp flash of Lightened spooked me, my multicoloured opticals clamping shut quickly in shock, i attmepted to curl tighter, much like a small child would do if he were scared. Was i scared? I think the answer to that was yes. Yes i was scared, terrified infact. Had i made a mistake coming here? Was it wrong to have a companion? Perhaps i was bred to wander alone, but surely, if i did that i would die, right? The ground shuddered slightly as a roll of thunder, made louder by the valley, rumbled through the terrian, heading south towards the dark lands. Black Lake, where we had been earlier, thank god I was here now, in the Lake, there was littlew or no shelter, but here, there were caves in the valley side and small clusters of trees. Nostrils expanded to draw in a gasp of air as pain shot up the bones in my legs. Catching the faint scent of Xylon growing stronger. Again, i used my energy to let out a call for him, some signal to let him know where I was. And soon, he came. But the look I saw upon his face altered my mood slightly. It was no longer that hardened expression, no. This time, his detail was soft, worried even? I raised my head slightly as his warm muzzle touched my neck. The muscles twitched there, trying to conjour up some heat for my cold frame. As he lowered and lay beside me; a whole new feeling of security rushed through my veins. Was he really doing this..did he really care? It was something i had never had, yet something i had frantically wished to happen. To have someone there for me, to protect me and care for me and it was here. As he nudged at my wet, cold neck, I gave a small groan and lifted my crown up and into the small part between his forelegs. "You left me, Xylon, you left me again..M-my legs, my bones arn't strong, i fell from a cliff two seasons ago. I haven't recovered yet." I managed at a mumbled tone. Shifting my weight towards him as to gain some heat off his steaming body. His cheek soon reached my shoulder, his words hit me hard. "Uh- I sdon't think so. I just want to get better" I murmered, licking at my muzzle and resting my tiara against him once more. I lay there for some time; in silence. Almost too scared to talk to him. Was he dragging me in like my father had done to my dear mother? Was he a killer? Like my father...like me I gave a soft snort, gaining some energy back from resting. "Xylon; did you come to Midnight Acres, looking for something?" I asked him, in a serious tone, my words were wrong "Love, did you come looknig ehre for love, Xylon" I wanted to say, but somehow, it pained me to say that word. It meant so much to me, but to him, was it just a word? Or did he believe in the feelings and the meaning behind the four letters? x y l o n You've certainly changed your tune... You're not your usual self, you're making no effort to mask up your emotions - aren't you worried you're coming across as soft... weak... pathetic...? Clearly not. In-fact you look somewhat miserable now, theres a certain sadness in your eyes that I can't place my finger on, you look almost as though you're brooding over something, dwelling over something in the past most probably - thats my best guess. Its not so much a pleasant change to see you acting differently, if anything its a little bizarre that you can go from being guarded and stroppy to quiet, brooding and anxious in a matter of minutes... CRACK! Lighting forked through the sky, flashing brightly as it did, tearing through the dull, grey clouds... heavy sheets of rain began to fall, harder than you can ever imagine, pounding the Earth with such incredibly force now. Xylon was just glad he had shelter. The thunder rumbled in its invisible rage against the forks of flashing lighting that tore through the stormy skies... Xylon watched as the lighting danced and forked and watched the clouds seemed to swirl and brew slowly, the ground almost seemed to shake violently with the forces of thunder that boomed through Verita Mountain. He recoiled slightly, inhaling sharply, holding his breathe for a few moments as he feared that a sudden flicker of lighting may just break a nearby tree in half, luckily it didn't... His now soft, amber eyes drifted back to where Disturbia lay beside him, his gaze slowly rolling over her two toned, scarred pelt and he winced slightly, wondering just how much pain the injuries had caused her at the time, it was a shame the healing process wasn't so successful, leaving behind visible scars that were bound to draw back unwanted memories... Her words suddenly reached his ears above the sound of the pounding rain and distant rumbling as the stormy battle continued on into the late afternoon. He had hurried on ahead again, stupidly thinking she'd be able to match his pace, he should've known something was wrong.
"Sorry," he said quietly, his lips close to her ear, he turned his gaze away, his voice sounded distant if somewhat apologetic and sorrowful. He nodded dumbly... she just wanted to get better, he could understand that and now he understood what was causing her pain. It was physical pain, but what if it was beyond the boundaries of physical pain... what it she was suffering from inner turmoil? But how would he know if that was the case, he doubted she'd tell someone like himself about. He noticed that she was silent for sometime and he shook his head slightly, turning his gaze away from her, just as he thought... she clearly wasn't willing to say anymore, maybe she didn't need too? Maybe she preferred the sound of the pounding rain and rumbling thunder. But oh, she was speaking again? Only, her words this time caught him off guard and he stared at her, his expression now unreadable again. He furrowed his brow, looking down slowly, deep in thought in seemed...? But no, he wasn't thinking at all, he knew perfectly why, his reason for coming to Midnight Acres. Did she really want or expect a decent, interesting answer to that? This was going to sound so god damn cheesy. "To start life... anew I guess," but why? He did not wish to give explanations... oh no, he'd much rather keep that close to his chest, not that it was drastic or major, but he preferred to keep it private, he didn't want to inform her of how he used to be, a stubborn, sarcastic, disruptive, rude and very foolish boy. His voice, again, sounded distant almost as though he was unaware words were even falling from his lips. He seemed to be in some sort of trance, staring with his lips sealed tight in a straight line across his muzzle, his eyes followed the slow, brewing movement of the clouds before his mind began to carefully chose the words that fell from his lips. "How... long have you been at Midnight Acres?" he asked carefully, trying to keep the question basic and trying not to make it sound too invading, invading of her privacy and private life.
"Did... you come here... looking for something?" he asked, hesitating over his words, brow furrowing slightly. He swallowed and blinked through his soaked forelock at her, gently flicking his wet hair aside. "I came... to Midnight Acres looking for something..." he trailed off, making a sort of chewing motion with his lips, "but I just... don't know what..." it was the truth, there was a part of some that seemed to crave something, something more than just having a territory to call his own... he wanted something more, he needed something more, but he was so unaware of what that was at this moment. Once more, his gaze fell to the ground, this time his voice sounded as though it actual had some trace of emotion in it, but it was hard to pin point one certain emotion, it was a whole mixture of emotions, but it seemed void of anger and frustration, his voice had much... softer emotions in it. This was the softer side which he often covered up, disguised... this was the part of himself he wanted to remain hidden but it seemed as though he was slowly starting to crack in-front of Disturbia and he didn't know why which only worried him more. What was it about her that made him feel so at... ease to show his true self like this?

DISTURBIA
But baby, your so unusual. didn't anyone tell you your s'posed to, break my heart I expect you to, so why haven't you..
Another flash of lightning and my opticals slammed shut in fear. normally, the fierce storms wouldn't bother me, i knew where i was safe back in Coco Bay, but now i was in a new place, with new horses, i couldn't relax. A roll of thunder soon followed the light, the ground itself shaking at the mighty force the gods brought. I shifted slightly closer to the bay stallion who lay next to me; reaching out with my cranium to nip ever so gently at his shoulder. He apologised again, and muffled words came from her open muzzle "It's okay..." Why was it she always let him 'get away' with this? any other stallion to cross my path, i would of completely lost my temper, let the disorder kick in, but no. I was controlling my temper, so unusual. I sensed his uneasiness...his tensed body; why couldn't he relax? Did he just see me as some pathetic lonely mare? Some mentally ill bitch? I certainly hoped not. Closing my eyes slowly, i took in his scent, our scent mixed together. when he spoke, optics slowly re-opened. My words coming out in a quiet, relaxed tone as the pain began to ease once more. "About three years...and i've been at Coco bay for most that time, only ever coming across a few stallions." I added, letting him in on a few details; already i was beggining to think he wouldn't judge me from my past. I gave a low grunt as i shifted my weight onto my other side, stretching out my legs as the began to stiffen. "I came...looking for my sister, but shortly after my arrival; i found out she was dead...So i guess i just took myself into rehab; tried to get over it, but it never worked." I told him, confident now, about our special relationship. x y l o n Xylon winced as he saw her eyes slam shut in fear, she was fearful of the loud rumbling and the bright flashes and the hammering rain... basically the storm itself. Xylon was gradually becoming more used to it and settled calmly at her side, hoping his own calmness would pass and wash over her too because truthfully he hated seeing her so fearful and in pain. His body twitched in response as she nipped lightly at his shoulder, usually any sort on contact would've made him recoil but he remained still and welcomed her as she moved slightly closer, he tucked his muzzle into his chest, his damp hair cascading slowly down his arched, slender neck. "Its okay..." he heard her words, as muffled as they were but he still heard them. His nostrils flared as he sighed heavily, "Its not okay," he mumbled stubbornly in response before lifting his muzzle back up from his chest, his hair hanging down his neck once more, flickering and flying about the place in the wind that swept through the trees. So it turned out she'd spent most her time at Coco Bay and only met several males, he nodded slightly in response. Slowly he lowered his head until he was eventually lying his head upon the ground in between his folded fore legs, a few moments later her out stretched his left fore leg infront of him, shifting his weight slightly and moving his muzzle to rest upon the knee out his out stretched leg, peering out into the early evening storm. His amber eyes darted up and down, watching as the rain fell... droplet after droplet after droplet... thousands of 'em, all falling in time and hitting the Earth with such force. His ears swivelled and the feeling of calm quickly subsided, he flinched as the thunder and the lighting took up their battle once more, proceeding into the night... His gaze averted back to the paint mare at his side, he peered closely at her as she spoke, noting a sense on confidence in her voice, almost as though she wasn't on edge around him or wasn't wary of him. He knew deep down that was probably the case, he figured nobody could ever truly feel at ease in his presence.
"So i guess i just took myself into rehab; tried to get over it, but it never worked." Those words rang through his mind, over and over... Suddenly he felt guilty forever thinking he wouldn't care if his older brother died... he was horrified to find the feeling of jealousy he held for his brother could ever make him feel glad that his brother could be dead or die anytime soon... the two of them had never really gotten to know each other properly and suddenly Xylon found himself longing to get to know him, but where on Earth could Desert Fire be right now? Maybe he was dead now...? Xylon sighed quietly, sadly at the thought, shaking his head slightly. His ears suddenly pinned back as he heard a rustling of leaves from his far left. The rustling grew louder and nearer and suddenly stopped, his eyes darted to his left and he could've sworn he saw the gleam of malicious, big eyes peering through him through the leaves... he slowly pulled himself up onto his feet, wobbling slightly as he did, blood rushing to his legs. He shook himself from his head to the tip of his tail and lowered his muzzle to nudge at Disturbia's neck, a sort of... comforting gesture. He snorted loudly and made a threatening, warning cry that echoed across Verita Mountain. Throwing his head up and down he cried out again and scraped and pawed at the ground with a hoof, he jogged noisily toward the bushes, throwing back his head and rearing before the bushes to warn off whatever may be hiding in their. In actually fact, the creature was stupid enough to remain put and instead lunged from its hiding spot... some form of mountain cat, a cougar most probably, young in age judging by its side, but still big enough to take up Xylon's entire back. The cat paniced as it clung to Xylon's back, digging its claw deep in his flesh as the lithe stallion writhed and lashed out, buckling a little under its surprisingly heavy weight as thin and young as it looked.
With a loud shriek, Xylon threw himself down onto his side, nearly crushing the cat but the cougar quickly leapt from his back. The stallion squirmed and writhed again before scrambling up onto his feet, he threw a glance over at Disturbia and noticed the cat was now arching its back and baring its teeth, its yellow gaze now fixed on Disturbia, it seemed to pick up on the fact she was already weakened... an easy target. Xylon cried out in protest and reared up before the savage creature's face. The cat turned and bolted a short distance away, Xylon followed and struck out at the cat with his hooves. The cougar yowled in pain as it only managed to partially dodge, taking most of the blow to its ribs. The cat recoiled an made pained little cries before flicking out its long tail before ducking its head and lunging up at Xylon's neck before the stallion could begin to gather what the cat was doing. A fearful cry tore from Xylon's lips as the cat clung to the side of his neck, scratching and lashing with its claws, the cat foolishly attempted to get its jaws round the stallion's throat but he quickly gathered the cat's intentions and threw himself up into a rear, but the weight on the creature pulled him down and he fell with a dull thud, the rain pounding his bloodied, coppery body. He kicked and writhed for all he was worth, finally dislodging the cat who yowled again and staggered back as Xylon's flailing hooves jabbed at the cat's chest, face and front legs, causing the cat to limp and bleed from its nose and mouth. The cat flicked out its tail and in a blur of motion the cat was taking its chances and lunging at the fallen stallion, trying his best to fit his jaws nicely onto Xylon's shoulder whilst its claws ripped and clawed into the flesh around it, it only took a few seconds for Xylon to throw himself over and partially crush the cat, he heard a dull crack of what he figured was one or two, probably more broken ribs from the thin, hungry attacker. Another yowl echoed through the rain. Xylon's main priority was to send the cat on its way and out of his territory so he could get back to Disturbia, he could only be thankful the cat hadn't gone for her instead... The cat writhed and managed to pull its partially crushed body free before half running, half limping toward an exit... Xylon closed his eyes for a moment as the rain pounded his body, thankful that it was at least washing out his wounds and injuries, he gritted his teeth and winced, struggling up onto his feet, he stumbled forward and inhaled sharply as his mind quickly caught up with what was happening and just how much pain had been dealt to his lithe, young body. He pushed himself forward into a gallop, biting back a pained, dry sob as he ran, wincing as he did after the cat, he lunged forward, nearly catching and crushing the cat under his hooves but the cat pushed itself on faster and sprinted out of Verita Mountain.
Xylon came skiing to a halt, swinging round on an angle as he did, peering through the trees on the borderline, staring after the bloodied, injured attacker. His ears lifted from his head and he turned round slowly before he pushed himself forward into a brisk jog, heading back to where he'd left Disturbia in the clearing through the trees where they had sheltered from the rain. He moved toward her, slowing to a walk before gradually halting, his legs buckled under him, he could feel the steam rising from his body but the rain was cold and quickly set to work cooling his body down and cleaning his injuries. Sighing heavily he hung his head, his flanks heaving as he struggled to catch his breathe, his eyes rolled into the back of his head before slowly closing, he slowly lowered himself to the ground, out stretching his fore legs before him, resting his muzzle upon his knees. Slowly, he looked up at Disturbia and flashed her a small, pained smile which faded seconds later when he felt the new trails of blood trickling down his neck, chest and shoulder and back. "It won't be coming back. It ran off, out of Verita Mountain," he assured her, his body now acheing and throbbing the amount of blood he had lost was still loosing and the pain that was causing a dull acheing effect through his body.

DISTURBIA
But baby, your so unusual. didn't anyone tell you your s'posed to, break my heart I expect you to, so why haven't you..
His mumbled words caught my upmost attention, nostrils quivered in a silent thanks. Feeling his wamrth against me relaxed me slightly, although my muscles still twitched at every flash and rumble. I suddenly became tense, and so had Xylon. Multi-coloured opticals widened, shining with fear as i sent a worried glance to Xylon, who had reacted fast and was already up on his feet. I extended my two toned neck out to nip at his tail, a sort of be careful gesture after he had touched my neck. I watched him, becoming very panicked, my disorder took over, bringing me out in a heavy sweat, but it was barely visable under my wet coat. With the quietest of sounds, i called out, seeing a pair of glowing pools staring at my new friend. Harks gently pressed back against my crown and i shifted my weight, attempting to stand, managing, just, but i leant my weight against a tree for support. My breathing had become shallow, as i heaved in as much air as i possibly could without being noisy. As the cat jumped out; a stressed squeal left my lips and dispite my weakness, i reared to half height, thrashing my forelegs in the air as a warning, but also to protect myself from the advancing cat. It pounced, and latched onto Xylon's back. the whites of my eyes showed as the stallion and cat fought, the sweat now becoming visable on my black and white painted coat. I watched in terror as the bay bronc thrashed around, eventually heaving the cougar off his back, it landed with a soft thump on the ground but soon recovered itself and headed straight to me. With a loud, stressed squeal, i reared again, pawing at the air with my hooves, but as the cat advanced, i attmpted a shuffle backwards and stumbled, sending my body crashing to the ground once more. I lay in a crumpled heap, snatching a terrified loo kup at the bay. " Xylon!" I screamed, snapping my eyes shut an giving a small whimper as i felt the distance decrease between me and the cat. Xylon's harsh cry filled my ears and my optics snapped open, indeed, the cat was back on the chase, after my only friend, my only... love? I gave antoher desperate cry, a plea for help, to anyone that might hear. But i knew no-one would come, it was just me and Xylon here, no one else. I attempted to regain my legs beneath me, but the sudden movement before hand had only weakened me further. In the distance, i heard the battle cries from stallion and cougar, and shortly after, the howling squeals of the cat, a big, releived sigh escaped my lips as i heard the bay brute re-apprching me. soon enough he came into veiw and i attempted to stand once more as i smelt blood, saw his blood seeping from his perfect figure. "Xylon..." I murmered, my tired voice hardly above a whisper. He had just risked his life to save mine; no one had ever done something like for me before. He knelt back down, i rolled my body closer to his, hoping to give him some comfort as tears began to roll down my cheeks. "It's not safe here." I stated quickly, and in a stressed tone. Looking over at him. Could we really do this? was it safe here, if there were predators roaming around, what if i had a foal here?! The cat would of snatched the poor soul without a second glance. He spoke again, and i gave quick nod, something told me to trust what this brute had to say.
