i am no fool.
Breathe easy now, slowly and carefully. Don't doubt it now, his lungs are expanding, filling up to the brim with oxygen. Oh it was so clear, fresh and sweet, how could anyone resist this delightful gas? As the exhale vaporized through his nostrils of silver, it spread out in front of his face, thick and slow. From the air surrounding his muzzle to the very grass he walked upon, a deadpan expression was etched upon his face, well lack there of one. Twin ears were folded straight up, twisting to one side at a time, almost constantly moving, permanently listening to every minute atom around him. A soft press of hooves upon the ground, grass being pressed back into the almost plush feeling earth, it's brightly colored blades flashing in his optics every chance he got to look down. This time, these shapely grasses were covered in a fine layer of snow, white and perfect as he left a track of prints behind. The molecules of frozen water danced around him, through the willow branches and down the freezing falls.
Oh those freezing falls, rushing over the edges, three separate drips. As dangerous as they could be, they're siren like drum was soothing and tranceful. It pulled him in with his lifeless being, dragging behind with no other choice but to follow the mind that controlled. That twisted, bunched up, out of sorts mind. Straying this way and that, always leading back to one single thought. Blood. That delicious, vicious liquid of bright mahogany. Just a feel of it made him shudder, even a single moment of thought gave him a jump of adrenaline. It was the only way he'd be able to feel that energy, only thing he ever felt too. If anyone thought he was happy, don't believe it. This boy, don't let him fool you. With very dashing looks, he can be quite the deceiver. Big, bold eyes of brown and screened over with gray, try to pull you in, almost always succeed. A fail for him would not mean much, for the emotion factor in his brain was undeveloped, a new part created. A part for his fake reality, one that a mare who could fall in love with him would want. A part that shows emotion, a smile once in a while, or a furious rage if need be. Though this male did not like pretending, only because his logic was that pretend was for foals and fools, the hopeful and weak at heart.
Walking through low hanging branches, he was not one to follow the well walked path. A worn dirt path lingering in between all those trees, this beloved forest hoarding the toxic grass that lay beneath glowing surfaces. A calming and faint smell reached to his nostrils, a ripple was sent through his silver dapple and brindle pelt. This scent was intoxicating and even though his emotions lacked, his testosterone did not. Except, he wasn't like those other boys. His "jewels" stayed well locked between his stocky figure and at this young age, he knew he wasn't ready for children or anything actually. All he had ever accomplished in life was living and killing, but the second option was never a choice for him. Filling his mind and lungs with this faint feminine scent, his silver black laced tail snapped up and his hoof beats seemed to not even hurry. The quiet rustle of his movement wasn't quieted, he'd make himself known; he rather not scare wait he believed should be a female. With curious eyes peering through draping limbs, he watched for a figure to just suddenly appear from no where. All he got was a pool where the fall collided. a look of disappointed faded against his face, his heart felt no ache no. he had been practically alone his whole life, why would he have believed for someone to be here now? His mind couldn't be correcting itself now, he would never feel emotion, never fall in love. Maybe, that was good thing. Taking a sip from the pool, Dexter decided to rest here for now. The snow was starting to fade and a cold and warm breeze was making his silver coat shine.
for love.

OPERATOR! OPERATOR! :: So this would be her second travel to the dreaded place, is it now? It seemed as if everywhere she went, everyone she met ran away from her just because of her ability to speak between worlds; the world of the living and the world of the spiritial. First there was this one named Kamikaze, but he himself had been banished from the lands by over-ruler Chaos, and now the land and mares he had claimed underneath his name was all gone and back open to anyone who wanted them; including her. Even if you looked at her you could see that she wasn't in a happy mood, Kamikaze was the first animal she had met here in the lands and now he was gone forever, she never thought she'd be left alone in her time of need and it happened just like that, her one true love was gone out of her grasp, never to come back but forever to haunt her in her dreams of peaceful sleep and a perfect life; would she ever fit in with anyone else? Or would she remain an outcast for the rest of her life until death rips her off the lands; thank heavens if it does. Even now as she tread through the lands alone, she couldn't help but wonder if there was a second chance out there for her, if there was someone who would love her for who she was and now how she looked; it seemed all stallions were interested in these days are how you look, they were some stupid animals if they had thought that of her. There was nothing to love about her peltage, just the same palomino colour it had always been from birth and the stringy-white tressels that sprouted from her nape and tailbone. Thin white blaze from the center of her forehead to the beginning of her silken plush was nothing new, nor was the pink lip marking settled between rustic nares. Nope, everything about her was the same.
[/size] As she moved through the underbrush probably unnoticed to some, she still couldn't help but wonder why Chaos had banished Kamikaze from the lands; it was just a mystery. Like her. When her brows furrowed wonderingly, her small head shook the thoughts from her brain with a little sigh of boredom; she wished she could choose whether or not to jump between worlds besides it just coming out on her whenever it wanted to. Even now as she weaved through the trees wonderingly she could feel the heat rising in her veins before her lithe form stopped all movement, head lifting to the tweets of the birds above her head to listen to them; "How is it you sing, little birdies? Is it all in your mind everything is alright?" She asked with little emotion in her voice, she would never understand how the earth worked or the animals that lived on it, but when no reply came from their beaks she just moved onwards, whipcords kinking every now and then to shoo away the pesky critters that landed on her hindquarters and flanks before her lips pursed in thought, twin radars slicked out sideways as pools landed on a figure; lips opened to let out a desperate call, a call full of companionship and need to feel loved and not alone. And as she stepped out from the shelter of the forestry and out into the open lightrays, she lowered her head respectfully; willing to leave if he had wished her to do so. "I'm sorry if I am interupting you, sir, but I am Christian. Please delight me with your name or something that would help me get to know you better."

i am no fool.
The air was beginning to dry around him, becoming stale and unimportant. A huff of his nostrils, the day was growing older. Time was ticking by, wasting precious seconds where he could be living a real life. But that was never going to be possible for him, oh no. And would he rather have a real, fulfilling life? No, not exactly. Spinning his long tassels out at the space behind him, a bug or two dropped. Pesky little things they were. Bringing a finely sculpted crown from the banks, eyes of cold searched out for that belief of others being near. He had sworn he had smelt a female close by, but the wind had fooled him. How silly he had been to think he'd actually be graced with company for once. Folding the left hearing aid back, each and every sound came back to him. Reverberating from tree to tree, he could sense if someone was close or far away. Intriguing it was, his sense of hearing. Way better then the rest such as his scent and eyes, never did he really trust those. It was even proven, his nose was never to be truly trusted. And once he laid the other ear back, a particular sound rattled his brain. It was soft and quiet, feminine more then masculine. Turning silver colored head, he watched out for the intruder. Through bush and branch, he couldn't quite see the vixen just yet. He had heard her though, knew she was out there somewhere.
Are all my senses failing me now? Should I just lay down and die? Oh what miserable thinking Mister Dexter, he shouldn't be thinking those dreary thoughts. It was spring, the time for romance and courtship! He should be happy for that, but what was happy anyway? There was no real definition, each to its own. With his articulated steps pulling him away from pristine water side, he faced out toward the forest. With it's dark shadows and fading eyes of watchful creatures. His eyes darted after a rabbit hopping into its burrow, a squirrel scurrying up the tree. What a blissful sight this forest was. Letting a sigh escape from his mouth, his muzzle did a small flick, bit of forelock being tossed aside from his dual brown pools. A calm aura settled over him, radiating about his perfect image. Vacant image, ears flipping this way and that, tail full of locks the shade of day and night swishing like a cat's, and ashen legs locked in place. If he wanted to, he could fall asleep. But his eyes were peeled wide, waiting for that chime of a voice to sound again. Who was it, out there waiting for him? Laying a hoof in front of him for a moment, gingerly touching the tip of it to the blades, a light haired female produced herself from her hiding place. Most stallions would have popped an eager expression upon his face, but nothing changed about his but a raised brow. He was a bit relieved that the forest was not playing tricks on him once more. And when her voice spoke out and her eyes were upon him, he was more interested then he had been in his entire life. "Hello Christian. No, miss you did not happen to disturb me. And your pleasure is mine for I am Dexter." His sweet and friendly voice was like a bell in a storm, calm and almost monotone. A light wind played with his locks, combing it with his fingers and it felt good. Bringing slightly interested attention back to the mare, a fake and yet seemingly delightful grin played at his lips. "What brings you to these parts of the woods?" Cool and confident, it'd be easy to pretend.
for love.

OPERATOR! OPERATOR! :: The trees were beginning to rattle with the shake of the winds, the light that had filtered through the new green leaves dancing over her palomino pelt and giving her a more appaloosa effect. Creamy tressels were being thrown about her beautiful skin as she looked up at him, unable to find any words to be spoken towards him; there was nothing to say at this point, all she could do was kick back and wait for something to come to mind or the spirits to take over her body for a while, so instead she offered him a crooked smile as her back hoof tipped lightly: "Ah, I could've thought I was interupting your peace. Terribly sorry if I did, no need to lie around me, I understand things half the time." She mumbled, mostly to herself as small head lowered again to advert his gaze before back up to the sky; "If I suddenly begin to act a little different, I can tell you this right now; I can jump between worlds, persay; communicate with the past; spirits of life..," she didn't know if her explanation made sense or not, but she offered him another smile to her delight as she took a step towards him, raising her harks slightly to catch his name; Dexter was it? An odd name for an equine of his stature, yet the name Christian was no prize either. She let out a girly giggle before brushing past him to the thawing liquids, thrusting her ashen and pink maw into the cool water and drinking greedily. She felt that this was disturbing him, that she had been intruding and that he wanted her gone, so she just smiled again and stepped back. "I c--," she began, but a shiver that ran up her spine stopped her words midsentence. "Oh----no..."
