Chantelle Living in desperation I hated this walk. That derperate walk were you travel somewhere but you just don't know where. I hated it even more that the first time I was here. Kantaro had appeared and swept me off my feet, then dissapeared into the darkness and left me alone. Then I had to travel back home and beg for forgiveness. I hated that too. The small scar down my neck was only visable when the sun shone against it. I snorted as I halted next to the waterfall and ducked my head into the gushing water to gulp at the crystal as it frothed down. I pulled my head back, through my wet mane everywhere and droplets of the aqua flying behind me.

There was a mystery about these lands. For some reason, they kept drawing me back to them. It was as if I was obsessed with maidens all of a sudden, some drive to show the world what I was made of. Part of it, I guess, was the emptiness I felt; a desire to build an empire like my father had. I didn't want to let him down, after all. But this time, things were different. I had no reason to build an empire anymore, I had several mares. No, now I just happened to stroll into these lands by accident. And I was greeted by the sight of a demoness, so beautiful that it put a burning passion in my heart. I felt myself falling into hell, where I would be allowed a pass to touch this treat of the devil. She was playing in the waterfall, having fun it seemed. She shook that beautiful head of hers, the sun glinting along her slender neck to reveal a healed over scar. It showed courage, it showed devotion and strength. Yet the way she stood told another story, of hatred and lonliness. Whatever bastard it had been that caused mares such pain...all of them would be attacked sooner or later. By me, no less. Like a viper. Furious at whatever stallion had been cruel to this mare, this beautiful morsel of hell with her blackened contours, I would have a talking to. Even if she wouldn't go with me, I would still yell at him until his head was so numb he tripped off a cliff. I whinnied as I came, for her back was to me. This mare, I would not play dumb with. She seemed sensible, she seemed in a hurry to get away from these godforesaken lands, and I would just as quickly agree. Yet my entrance was flawed, for I had not remembered to think that the banks would be slick. And so, as i tried to stop on a dim beside my midnight vixen, I slid on, and tumbled, quite extraordinarily, into the pool underneath the waterfall. It was embarassing, and perhaps a noble stallion would have thought better of speaking to a mare that had just seem him epicly fail at something so simple. At least the water was a slap in the face, and I had calmed down a little. I did not get out of the water, but seeing as she was already wet... "Hello, precious jewel. Sorry for the cruddy entrance...but, you know how it goes..." I put on a puppy dog frown, but underneath that frown there was a smirk. I dipped my head in a bow, but when I brought my head up, I sprayed water with me. I smiled innocently. "Punishment for entrancing me into this perdicament, black enchantress. I am Kamikaze, the suicidal king of Sunset Meadows. Won't you, oh sea nypmh, tell me your name? Or shall I be forced to splash you again?" I had no idea what I was doing. But one could tell I was having fun. She probably thought I was insane though, but she looked like she needed a laugh.

I heard the soft nicker and as my head swung on it's axis to look where the noise had come from, the stallion slipped, and I jumped to the side, allowing him to slide past me into the water. I lowered my head to the water, a smirk on my face as he spoke. I pulled my head back from the water as he sprayed aqua against my face. I snorted and reared up at him, as he stood almost fully emerged in the water. I eyes the stallion carefully. I be no sea nymph, sir. I be more like a fairy. I travel around, un-noticed, yet I have no real home. I said, sweetly yet with a hint of sadness to my tones. I lifted my head higher and stomped my hoof. My calling is Chantelle, please to make your acquaintance. I dipped my head slowly and rose it even slower. I used my award winning smile on him. You punish me for your own clumsiness? I pray you beg forgiveness, sir!
