I o d i n e :: Leap, Soar, Fall. The brush swayed away and out I stepped, the moon light bathing onto my silver dappled pelt, ears erected and tail kinked in a petite manner, not really suiting my deeper nature. My forelegs snapped out and I continued on, splashing into the brook, and throwing my muzzle into the current, tail still kinked, but it lowered and whipped along my haunches.
As I excited the water, the warm wind greeted me, unsuitable for a time of the year, I had actually expected snow, not spring like weather, especially in winter. Why was I being so light-ish? Because I was alone, having just struck out on my own, gotten over my first heat without pregnancy, and still unclaimed, I was pleased with my advancment into the world.

As the dappled stallion came into Zukra Brooke, he paused. It had been a long time since he set foot in any of the claiming lands. But its sure as hell felt good to be back in the game. The stallion had changed dramatically over the past few seasons, and some would say that it was for the worst. Yarraman, was in his prime and more demonic then ever. His intentions of evil, where now promised threats and not just fun and games. He was more serious and focused then he had ever been for he was sure not to make a mistake this time.
Orbs scanned the area around him, and nares took in all the smells. It was winter, and most mares would have been claimed by now for breeding season had past, but Yarraman wouldn’t be surprised if there where new arrivals. Thorns pricked forward, and the beast turned his dipped visage, sure enough off in the distance there was a fae, taking a dip in the pond. This would nit be a good day if she made a wrong move, she might wind up dead.
Trotting over to her Yarraman gave a deep call, announcing his presence. The dappled gray was not one for words. Actions spoke louder then words so why speak? Stopping a few feet in front of the wench, Yarraman looked her over. Her face had a long scar running between her eyes, which showed that she had some experience in life, and that was a point for her. The fae’s pelt was a lovely silver dappel and she was appealing to the eye. Once again in her favor. Yarraman decided that she was worth his time. [glow=green,2,300] Well, fae. Who are you?[/glow] His vocals where deep and demanding. If she was wise she wouldn’t play games.

I o d i n e :: Leap, Soar, Fall. I turned towards the voice, my azure shaded eyes flitting over the large stallions body, he seemed fit to kill in all truth. As he stopped, was when I moved, my water logged body lunging from the brook and causing with it small waves, splashing onto the banks and eroding the dirt away and turning the water muddy.
My name? Simply, Iodine I murmured, my tones sickly sweet, and venoumus light leeking out of my gaze, giving a plain message. I was not one to be toyed with, in no way, shape, or form. My neck arched up, and the wind buffeted my silvery mane atop it, giving me a messy, boy-ish look, until you looked at me fully, and noticed the femine charm. Now, Common Courtesy. What is your's. It wasn't a question, it was a statment, I demanded respect, no matter who or what the beast was.

Will you buckel underneath him?
Stepping back, as the fae came out of the water, Yarraman looked her over again. Just to make sure he apprised her right the first time, and he had. The brute could tell by her ways that she was not a true dark. But he figured it was time to lower his standards seeing as the mares seemed to be on the lighter side these days. However, no lights would be allowed on his lands, unless they where slaves.
Yarraman’s thorns pricked up slightly as the wench spoke. Just as other mares she had the sweet sticky tone to her voice. A smirk played across his gray maw, he liked her attitude. It was important that the equines in this brutes herd new how to stand up for themselves and demand some respect otherwise the would be ruined by the dapple’s actions. Yarraman. King of Taunted Marshes. The brutes tone was deep and husky, it would send a chill down any submissive horse and make them nervous. He was using this tone to test her. Would she pass?
So Iodine. What brings you to Midnight Acres? Especially after breeding season has passed. With that Yarraman chuckled in his head. How would he know? He had not covered a mre this year for his land was no emptied by Sophie’s murder.

I o d i n e :: Leap, Soar, Fall. His look didn't phase me, why should it? He was just another stallion, like all that others I had traveled along side. As he spoke, his voice seemed to hold something hidden, something that intriged me, it didn't frighten me at all. Why? Do I need a reason. I slantered, my tone matching his and dropping an octave to a more suitable tone, though still femine in all manner.
My slender frame advanced towards his, the dieing grasses swaying around my fetlocks, the warm wind still playing at my kinked tail and lengtly mane, mingling our aroma's together, perhaps chasing away any other unwanted visitors. Why do you come to the grounds after breeding season? I parried to his previous question and my answer, my advance still present as I came towards his off side, gaze flitting over his mass yet again, my ruler would need to be perfection.

Yarraman studied they fae closely, and once again he smirked, she had passed the test she acted as though she hadn’t even heard the tone of his voice. Which was surprising for the brute had placed her as a neutral but perhaps she was more dark then he had anticipated. There is a reason for everything Iodine. Every creature knows that He was not underling her intelligence, shockingly, merely just stating the point.
The brute stood still as the silver fae approached his muscled body. He didn’t not tense nor change his attitude. He didn’t need to if he sensed a change in her aurora he would responded accordingly. Yarraman relied on his senses to tell him anything and everything he wanted to know. Touche Yarraman chuckled, he liked Iodine. Her spunk and attitude intrigued him. Which was saying a lot considering he had shut himself even more with the death of Sophie. Shaking his head Yarraman got the thought of the bay mare out of his mind. He didn’t want to think of her right now.
Watching as the silver dapple looked him over Yarraman gave a very small and subtle smile. He realized how alike mares and stallions where at the courting games. Each looked the other over many times before committing to much to the conversation. So Iodine do I meet your standards? He was slightly mocking her but in a some what play full way. [/size]

I o d i n e :: Truth ; Lies with facts Slightly my scull quivered, removing the forelock from my gaze, it becoming more clear as I paused in my advance, he would be suitable - strong, balanced, evil, cunning. But of course everything has a reason. Like why the snake waits, jaws open, for prey. To feed of course I parried yet again, we seemed to have reached a fencing match, and I had tied with him yet again. His gaze on me, made my greenish-blue gaze turn back to his and stay there, unfaltering, a slight smirk unfolding onto my features.
I still pondered over his questions, he would have to meet my standards, as I had decided previously, he seemed like one to put up with my sudden mood changes, or worse, my lashing out moods. Why yes, You do seem to meet my check list I replied causally as I again stepped forward and bumped my breast against his side, showing my ability to comply, and better, the little fright of him that I had, he was sweet enough, in a dark way I suppose.

Laughter played across the brutes eyes with the fae’s remark. She was good, and he enjoyed the competition that she gave him. Yarraman would have to be in top form to handle her spit fire attitude, and he was more than willing to accept the challenge. And why does that prey walk willing into the snake’s jaws? Pure lack of using its senses. It was like an analogy. For Iodine was falling into the jaws of Yarraman. Of course he would not kill her, well unless she made a fatal mistake in the future, but she was playing with the devil. Well Iodine. You seem to have joined the very few mares who have caught my interest. He paused and gently nipped at her shoulder, he was playing with her. So my dear. I am going to offer you an invitation to join my herd. Yarraman left it at that and he turned and set off at an easy trot so that she could catch up. And yes he knew she would.
