For the day..
The weather was usual this tyear. Normally, flowerswould be blooming, baby animals, just birthed, crawling out of their safety cages. This year, patches of snow still covered the grounds of Holow Woods, bones of those unfornuate ones scattered in the wasteland. This, however, was arousing. Much better than that sickly feeling oft he peaceful season. Shaking a few dew drops off my back, isnorted, my breath exhaling in great spirals of steam, I lowered my skull to the ice covered liquid and sucked up as muchas i could.
Lakita and Eris had been gone for a few days now, at last, it was time for them to birth, little beautys they would bring home, andi knew it. But the herd wasslightly falling apart, i hadn'tseen a few mares nor youngsters for a while, and the time was closing in, for the battle would take place at the start of fall, before his mares were bred to. We had alot to catch up on, a negreo to send into Silent Woods to spy for us. I had yet to choose a mare for that job. Eris, prehaps, would manage.
Lakita and myself, were far more than capeable to take on the king and queen, and prehaps some of the youngsters to drag the others back here, kicking and screaming. These thoughts had left a slight smirk on my face, and as i snapped back to reality, i realised that my two mares would be returning shortly.
[o.o.c;;sorry, that was a bad post, i'm building up muse for the battle. So, agreed on Silent Woods? 'Kita prehaps should 'seduce' zarian, whilst chaos goes and covers his mares, then wer attack zarian, and take the others back to hollow woods. Faye and her baby will get away with it, because, anon. I can't have two different charries of yours in the same terra. =) PM me, we need to sort it out!]

I smiled to myself as I walked, almost limping, into the lands that were Chaos'. The colt seemed to be healthy, walking along like he was a proud king. I smelt a familiar scent and stopped, taking a deep breath. My head came up slowly and I tried to walk normally, although my hind legs felt heavy with ache. My rump was numb and my mind was so confused. This hadn't happened when Chantelle was born. I shock my head and continued on my way, the colt running up to a figure ahead and standing looking at it from a distance. I approached behind the colt and sighed, my nose dipping to push the colt forward. He refused, but I pushed again. Go on, you silly colt. He won't hurt you.... I said, pushing again.

My strides were slow and silent, not because there was something wrong with me, but because I was paying extra attention to the small creature beside me. I had given birth quite early – resulting in my little filly was extremely small and vulnerable, not that she was weak and fragile. Normally this would bother me, and I would have been walking at my normal pace and just leave it to her to follow, but this time I didn’t feel impatient – didn’t feel the annoyance wash over me, the little creature needed me, and perhaps it was even my own fault she was born prematurely. I stopped for a few seconds letting the little girl catch up and smiled as I felt her young lips reach for the food – yes she was small and weak still, but her brain and looks didn’t fail where her body did. My filly had been born a Light overo with a perfect little mask to match her duo colored pelt – truly she looked a lot like Emira, but her personality shone out already, and boy was it different from my first princess. Even though her body was weak and small, she still tried to hold her head up straight and not let me know of her weakness, already arrogance was shining through her dark eyes, and I didn’t doubt for a single second that she would be perfect – my little pearl. My long legs began their stride towards our home yet again and a hoarse laugh crept by my kissers as I heard a snort of frustration from the young lady, however instead of turning around to lecture her I set into an elegant trot swinging my tail gracefully from side to side, and only when I knew she was a good distance behind me I turned to flash her a brilliant – yet arrogant smile. From the distance I could almost see the tiredness in her eyes, yet she quickly gathered herself and set into – though a little bumpy – fine trot, she reached my side in no time panting for her breath.
“Are we tired little princess?”
My mocking tone rang out, I knew she was weak and premature, but I had to test her limits – see how far she was willing to go for her family. I saw her small jaw clench and young orbs glared arrogantly at me, as to say ‘I’m not tired at all’ and I threw a laugh out yet again. We had crossed the border to Hollow Woods on our little trot, so I walked to one of the nearest trees and laid down, a clear signal to my tired princess that it was time to rest – she had done well. Quickly the young female joined me and instantly reached for my belly to drink – not that I could blame her, she needed all the nutrients she could get. As the filly drank I let my thoughts wander, I knew Eris had – or was to – foal this year also, and I couldn’t help but wonder if her brat would be anywhere as fine as my daughter, secretly I had hoped for a filly, since my heir had already been born and the Woods was almost crawling with colts we desperately needed fillies. My thoughts jumped to Chaos, would he throw the youngest colts out when time came? It would do the herd no good if the youngsters started to fight for the power, especially when Intrepid was about to start his training as official heir of the Woods – that was unless Brydon stepped up and defied Intrepid for the post.
I raised my crown slowly as the scream of my king rang out across the land, so he wanted to meet his young ones? A sly smirk crossed my lips as I turned my head to nudge my filly gently before rising to my pillars yet again. Quickly we moved towards the call – and only slowed just before arriving into the low clearing. My alert radars caught the sound of Eris as she approached and my smile widened as I smelt the musky scent of colt waft towards me, that would cause trouble – no doubt about that. I stopped for a moment, turning my head to look at the young filly – making sure she was ready to meet her king and father – before setting into an elegant walk into the clearing with the young female closely by my side.
“Meet your newest daughter my king, look at her eyes – see the possibilities!”
I sang out in a low yet energy-filled tone, the filly had the best of us both – the evil, the arrogance, the cunning mind! I couldn’t wait to see her personality unfold and improve, would she be as perfect as me? I reached down and licked her thick coat gently as she continued to stare with arrogant eyes at her father – completely ignoring her aunt and half-brother.

The lights are faded and gone
My black orbs scanned the main clearing as the faint sound of snapping twigs and rustling branches could be heard in the distance; A sly smirk spread across my lips as Eris's scent wafted towards me, followed by the scent of a colt. Ah, how exciting, yet another colt in my herd. Now, we had shadrik, Intrepid, Brydon, and this little one. Prehaps it was time to start trading the colts for mares, or even using them to colect slaves, then killing them. Intrepid, of course, would be safe. As would this little one, until he was two. If he didn't show power by then, he would be gone, banished from these lands. Now that the herd was growing rapidly, i only had time for the best little devils.
As my black eyes caught sight of Eris, my nostrils quivered in a snort nicker. Ah! Eris, welcome back, i hope everything was of no bother for you and the young one. I smiled at her, then glanced down at the colt. He was shy. Not a good first impresion. Hmm. I lowered my skull a little, and reached out, nipping him gently, yet firmly on his mane, tugging at the soft strands. Well, it seems you have a fine colt here Eris. However, he must proove himself, otherwise, he will be gone. You must understand my point of veiw. I have no time for weak ones in my herd This was a slight warnbing for the colt, telling him to pull himself together, otherwise, he would be out, to fend for himself. I backed up a little, and looked back at Eris. And his curse? I asked,my sly tone creeping through.
However, my gaze was shifted, as again, i heard more rustling in the woods, smirking, i knew this could be no other than Lakita, my fine queen. I snorted, glanced back at Eris, then awaitedfor akita's image to meet my eyes. As prodicted, there she came, swinging through the tree's, such a natural at everything. I dipped my skull and nickered to her Ah, miss Lakita, it's good to see you. I'm sure your journey was fine? I asked her, licking my lips, and glancing down at the filly by her side. My orbs widened a little, black tinting silver as the sun rays caught my stare. Excellent. She was no doughtedly different from Emira, she held no soft touch in her eyes, she would be a good, strong filly. Prehaps like her older brother, Intrepid. Oh how he would love her, cherish her for being much like him. My harks swivelled 'round as i heard lakita;'s words, yet my stare was stuck to the filly. I nodded, thenspoke. Indeed, this filly will grtow strong, much strongerthan Emira, withoput a dought, she holds no light side in her eyes. Oh how she will become such a queen. I cackled, and extended my neck, nudging her small frame with my muzzle firmly. Her name? I asked, curious.
Stepping away, i returned to the middle, resting between Eris and the colt, and Lakita and the filly. What an excellent bunch, this herd was going far.

I smiled at the kindness of Chaos and took in the colts appearance. I rolled my eyes and stepped back. 'Kita approached with a daughter. She seemed alot like Emira when she was younger. I smiled and nuzzled the colt to my side. To answer your question, Chaos, the colt shall be Lustra. Unless you have a problem with that, sir... I asked politly yet defiantly. I would have my way, no matter what. The colt ducked his head under my barreld and nursed for a few minutes, before turning to look at his half-sister. His inquisitive eyes scanned over her body and I realised I was thinking about his future. Would he be banished? Definitly not. And he would be a great leader one day.
One day...

{ L i l i t h Sleek body glowed in the hot sunshine, summer had arrived and even though the lands were always covered in some darkness, the sun really shone through today. Pearly white body moved with grace as I approached the other youngster on long pillars – slowly I circled him like a predator sizing its prey up, was he a challenge? Or was he a chicken?
Fangs glinted in the bright sunlight as I threw myself against him, only to be stopped by a strong foreleg and a firm jaw locked around my neck. I snorted in annoyance and bit down at my offending appendage that kept me in place – slightly pleased as blood flowed from four tiny holes that would teach her from holding me back! The leg slowly removed itself when my mother was sure I didn’t plan on going for the young colts fragile frame again, instead I lunged for my father – rearing up on tiny hindquarters before him, kicking out without touching him; showing off just how powerful I was and just what I was capable of. As I landed my feet quickly sidestepped to his side, and before long my forelegs had left the ground and was now instead trying to reach over my sire’s powerful back.
“My name is Lilith daddy dear, isn’t that suiting?”
I purred out in a delicate feminine tone. I didn’t need any other to pick my true curse, only I knew what names would suit me – and Lilith was the top choice, it would be sad if anyone else held that curse, I might have to kill them. Slowly I let myself glide down from his broad backside, before spinning around 180 degrees and trotted gracefully back to my mother’s side – carefully eyeing the other youngster with narrowed eyes.
If he had been non-family, he would have been welcomed warmly into my inner circle, but did this youngster even hold any other position than a low rank? I had overheard my mother and father speak of another filly – one older than me, and my dad didn’t seem like it was a surprise with a colt, meaning he would have to have another colt somewhere – someone older and more powerful. I sent my mom a curious glance, was she the mother of the older colt as well? I didn’t want to be birthed by some common mare, my mother had to have some high rank – and I didn’t doubt it at the moment, it was clearly showing off in the way she moved. ; L A K I T A
Fierce eyes shone with anger – and hidden excitement as the young filly sprang fourth towards her half-brother, apparently wanting to test his strength against her own. Quickly I reached out with a powerful foreleg and halted her progress, sinking my fangs into her fragile neck at the same time – she was not allowed to attack her own family, not until she knew the true meaning of combat and pain. I felt her young teeth sink into my thin skin and a wide smile graced my features, oh she was perfect indeed! Not even holding back on her own mother, it was both a dangerous yet clever move if the time came and she wanted more power. I cast a quick glance at Eris before letting my little demoness go, instead of going for the youngster as I would have suspected, I was pleased to see her turn for her father instead – telling him in her own way, that she was strong and powerful – or would be soon enough, and I could only guess it wouldn’t be long before she would start demanding more and more power. Surprise marked my features as she spilled a name from her lips ‘Lilith’, I tasted it on my own lips and found the sound pleased – it sure did have a soft edge to it, but still that feeling of death and seduction. My little princess was perfect indeed.

We wait for the day
I watched as the colt obeidiatly went to his mothers side. I watched him with curious eyes, wondering what intrepid would think of him. No dout, he would be angry, i knew, that when he became king of Hollow Woods, he would not allow Colts to stay in the lands. Whereas me, i wasn't too bothered, but the moment they began to act 'kingly' they were gone, intrepid, however, was an exeption.
As Eris spoke, i nodded, Lustra, yes, of course, a good choice there Eris. I told her, my voice deep, the way it always was.I watched as Lustra glanced over at his half sister, and smiled, she would be such a princess, my dark angel.
I stood still, eyes narrowed slightly, as the sun rays caught them, and watched my daughter, as she pounced forward to attack Lustra, i smirked a little, she was indeed, perfect, Lakita#'s offspring just got better and better year after year. As Lakita moved quickly to stop the filly, iwas supirsed, and then even more so as Lilith turned on her own mother. Such a daring creature she was.
As she tottered over to e, i glanced down at her, my head held high and arched slightly in pride, my black eyes shining down at her. Ah Lilith, yes, indeed, it suits you. I spoke, again, my tone deep and musky, as she reared, i didn't flinch, yet smirked again, she was so right, she belonged here, in Hollow Woods. As i felt her legs collide with my back, i snaked my neck around and clacked my teeth close to her tufty mane. Now now Lilith I cackled, sidestepping away from her, my firey frame moved towards lakita.
