VoX
My hooves moved me over the land, making no noice except for the ocasional twig snapping under my beat. The air was chilling as the sun slowly desended into the horizon. Stars were starting to poke there bright faces out of the darkness, the moon was also compeating for the sky against the moon. I twitched my ears opening them in hopes of a sound; no birds were singing or fluttering about, no rodents were skuttering through the foliage. The forest was silent.
Looking to the east I knew why. Huge thunderclouds were making there way steadily in this direction. With them they brought the smell of atmosphere and the chill of winter, the rolling storm was going to bring with it the first snow for this land. I started to sing, my words comming out short and choppy because of the cold that was now settling itself in my bones. My breath came out in foggy puffs and I started to shiver. This night was not going to be an enjoyable one. My singing grew craggier as the night continued on. My throat killed, scratchy from partchdness; I needed the sound though, it made the lonlyness ever so more barable.
My ears picked up the sound of running water and I felt my mouth silivate at the thought of cool liquid squelching the thirst. My thoughts soon became a reality though when I stepped out of the dark forest and into a small clearing that surrounded a sparkling waterfall. My breath cought at the sight, the moons worm glow and the stars bright shine reflected off of the dark water and sent the land around me into a beautiful Fray.
After slowly putting my muzzle to the river and taking the first refreshing gulps I started to hum. A luliby that made me forget about the opressing storm, forget about my lonlyness and remeniss over the joy I had had in another life and gave me hope for a something that would soon come and fill my voide.
