ava Before today I said the words I shouldn't have, Words to hurt you in the moment, but after that..
If horses could pout, then Ava was pretty close to it. From the moment that the fatigued ess arrived in this rather hot land, her legs trembled from the pure effort to scale up the sides of the hilltops. Her gleaming white body was dulled, streaks of sweat making her creamy russet and white coat turn into shades of pewter. Her tresses flagged in the hot wind, creating a pale, ashen dust cloud, whipping into her light eyes, making them water. A frustrated growl escaped the feminine figure, so animalistic compared to her docile nature. Bryce hadn't trained her for this! Well, he sort of did, but she didn't figure that he'd leave her as soon as when he had! Creamy forelock spilled over the ess' spotted facade as she lowered her crown to sniff at the ground, lipping at the surface with a faint interest. A snuffing snort was emitted before Ava continued, despite her bones creaking, begging her to stop.
"Rain, rain, go away, come again another day."
The lyrics were harmonized, like an angel's voice; it held no scorn. That was the reply that rose from the spotted mare as a large drop of rain slapped onto her body, making her shiver. It had rained a lot back at home, but it had been very dry at the places where she'd traveled, so it was a relief to be able to feel the rain. Ava smiled faintly; she and Bryce loved to play in the rain. He'd always joke that he was an element horse, that water was on his side. It usually was, too. Smiling brightly at the thought of her older, spotted brother, Ava stared at the sky. It was darker than what she liked, but it was quite calm today. The water beneath her trickled, and the taste of it was unbearable, but she loved it anyway. Still, the one minor thing she was frightened of was the number of over-bearing equine with a senseless mind. She tried to remember what Bryce had said one day, as they watched one of the "animals" attack another equine.
"Sissy, they're not good ones to be around, okay? They are really mean, and if I'm not there with you if they decide to be around, then... Nevermind. Just stay away from them, okay?" Ava grimaced, but the smile returned when the drizzle turned into a full-out storm. Rain sputtered to all sides of her, drenching her warm body, until it felt cool. She didn't need to turn her tail to the wind; she loved the windy turrents of water whip her neck. Snorting, the spotted mare rose into a rear, with renewed strength, her forelimbs, thick and sturdy thrashing about like a yearling. Despite the crawling fear of being watched, Ava snorted, and pranced around, her wet tresses feeling heavy on her neck, but she didn't care.
"Rain, rain, go away, come again another day. If you don't, I don't care!"
An exclaimation was emitted into the bleak sky, Ava's throat straining to produce that clear, melodious sounding voice that her brother loved to hear.

M O N T E
My grren tinted eyes saught for some company, my black bodice moved freely, at a swaying walk, muscles rippling under my pelt, my head was to the ground, i picked up many different sense, lipping at a few blades of grass, i looked up as i felt droplets on my back. I gazed at the sky, so magical, sometimes, i dreampt i could fly, how wonderful would that be? To gaze over any place you wanted, and being able to disapear in the clouds. A large droplet of rain on my muzzle brought me back to reality, i snorted, and tucked my neck, Again, i gazed around the area known as Zukura Brook. Wasn't this the place horses came to gather?Where was everyone.
Harks shot forward when i heard a magical rhyme. Rain rain go away, come back another day.. My dished dial shot to the direction of the singing. My nares flickered, and a whispersed snicker was released, i darted forward into a trot, where was this voice coming from? I heard it again, even more magical, closer, asif she was calling to me. I rounded a corner, near some trees and stopped dead, there she was..a beautiful spotted mare. H-hello I stuttered, my tone was friendly, yet delicate. Would she stay and talk?

ava You couldn't fight it anymore, you turned to cry , And I'll never forget the look in your eyes.
The rear ended with her limbs touching the ground lightly. The grin that spread across her spotted facial features grew wider as the sizzling smell of lightning was sensed in the air, before the sky lightened. She could see a jagged trail in the sky, bright as ever, before the crash of thunder rumbled the earth below her spotted, tired limbs. A joyous laugh escaped the feminine figure, and her body began to move in place, prancing with excitement. Nares widened, scenting the thunderous skies, before another movement caught her attention. That didn't stop her prancing though. She continued to dance in place, before calling out to the sky again.
"Rain, rain go away, come again another day. If you don't, I don't care!"
She called out in a somewhat dissapointed voice, but then the noise that she had heard started to form a word. Light eyes curiously sought the figure out of the bushes. He was a dark fellow, much smaller than Ava's Knabstrup stature. Her eyes widened, not in fear, but more of a searching interest as she tried to make out the figure. He was a black Arabic, more masculine frame. An obvious stallion, he looked nothing like Bryce or myself. The grin that spread across my facial features faded briefly, as the male's voice entered my auduals, perked forward, twirling around as the rain fell. I was surprised; how long had he been there?!
"Oh! Hello!"
Ava's voice was bold as she called out to the stallion, and then she stretched her neck forward, tipped to one side curiously, her spotted body following her head. Ava pranced a few steps closer, her spotted head recoiling as she stared at the green-eyed brute. She remained there a few moments longer, then her spotted facial features grew alert when lightning lit up the stallion's body. Ava's light eyes narrowed, studying the stallion why he was lit up by the bright light. He didn't seem too bad. Ava supposed that he was okay to talk to. She took a final look at the sky, smiling faintly at the thought of her brother before she started speaking to the Black Arabian.
"How long were you standing there? My name's Ava, out of Vetra by Malani, pure spotted horses. What's your name?"
Ava's voice wasn't accusing. It was curious, excited at the new arrival, but it also held some note of defense. She stared at the brute, raising her crown to it's normal level, much higher than that of the green-eyed stud.

M O N T E
She repeated her words to the sky, i smiled, and blinked slowly, at last, she had noticed me, i nickered again, and blinked, the sun glinting off my eyes. She walked towards me, i also, took a few steps forward and extended my muzzle in a friendly greeting. Now that i was closer, i could see i was a much finer breed of horse than her. She was a little taller, and a little stockier. but, that didn't bother me, she was beautiful, and seemed pretty nice so far. When she spoke, a firey sensation shot down my spine, her voice, just like the one of an angel. I haven't been standing there long. I spoke, my soft voice rang out, i took a step closer, then continued Its a pleasure to meet you Ava, I am Montè, son of Millcroft Montè Crysto and Freja. I sighed softly, i missed them, terribly, i wanted them here with me. I stepped back and looked at the ground for a second, then i raised my dial back up to look at the fae, What are you doing here? I asked politely. Swapping my gaze from Ava to the sky, i smiled as a flash of lightning powered above me, and a great roll of thunder echoed throughout the lands, I danced on my feet, and tossed my head sideways, my forlock spilling over my eyes. I smiled at her, my deep green tinted orbs looking at her curiously.

ava Now that you are gone you'll never see, The two of us touched love.
Ava's light-hearted gaze remained there when the thin boned stallion extended his muzzle towards hers. She stayed still for a few moments longer, the hesitation to touch his muzzle making her heart thud. She finally extended her own muzzle, brushing his in a quick greeting. I drew back before he did, and stared at him, nares widening as Ava released a soft breath, eyes inquisitive. Her forelock ran over her spotted facade, making her toss her crown, a second glance was sent at the stallion. He was studying Ava. That was a first. Her body was still, now ignoring the thunder and lightning, listening to the masculine voice that escaped him. He promised Ava that he hadn't been standing there too long, but she wasn't sure. Still, he stepped forward, making the spotted female's heart thud against her chest even harder. Her crown raised, and tipped to an angle, until her chin was bumping her neck.
"Montè. Pleasure to, uh, meet you."
Ava's reply was short, the angelic tone fading into that of a mixed one. What would Bryce do about now? Snorting, Ava took a slow step back, scanning Montè's dark features. His eyes grew vacant, a longing expression spreading across his facade. It made her wonder, but the wondering lasting only a few seconds, when the green-eyed stud spoke again. His tone was polite, but Ava still held that trace of uncertainty. She was alone for the first time, without her big brother there for protection. A snort escaped Ava's pink rimmed lips, then she started to reply, but she was cut off from the crack of lightning, the thunder making her legs tremble. She sidestepped away from the dark male, her lyrics escaping in a calm tone.
"I was just here to find a new home. I would have been okay, but my brother grew up and left to find his own herd, and I couldn't go with her, so he told me to walk until I found the rain. And, I found it."
A smile flickered on the ess' lips as she remembered Bryce's words that day. She was close to tears as she left Bryce from his herd, but he promised that he'd come see her, as long as she found the land where it rained. She felt more at ease that she admitted the news of her brother, and she finally looked at the green-eyed stallion, watching him prance with a giddy feeling. She smiled, and turned away from Montè, her eyes trailing up to the sky, but then pushed her body backwards, hind quarters clawing at the wet land. She bumped into the stallion, made a small distressed sound, and turned to jog underneath some trees. The ground was dry enough, as she lipped at it, and emitted a soft grunt as she lowered to her knees, the fatigue finally too much for her to handle. Her chin rested on the surface, but she eyed Montè carefully. She knew she was breaking one of Bryce's rules, but she was tired!

M O N T E
So Far Away..We Wait For The Day..
I watched her, she seemed uncertain around me..why? I wondered, no way did i come across as as scary, i was a kind, gentle, loving stallion. Had i said something wrong? I backed up a little more as she stepped away from me. I watched her bend her neck, so her chin touched her chest, and smiled. She was really nice, and i hoped she liked me back. I nodded when she spoke, And some pleasure it is.. My face held a gentle smile, my eyes were soft and warm to her. As the lightning struck again, I blinked, this weather refreshed me, i enjoyed being surrounded by that electrical feeling. Then she spoke about another, her brother. I lowerd my gaze slightly, but when she finished talking, i looked back into her eyes. Your brother reminds me of someone i know.. I whispered. but you won't understand.. Thats what he told himself everytime he told someone the slightest thing about his best friend. As she dashed away and went to lay down, i quickly danced after her, and reached out to touch her shoulder with my muzzle No, don't rest here. I paused, and looked around the surroundings. Its not safe.. I had been told by my father, not to rest anywhere that isn't marked you own lands, and this place certainly wasn't mine. I snorted, and backed up, to give Ava some space to stand, if she listened to my warning. The Forgotton valley, it's a place not far from here..you wil lbe safe there, if you care to follow me? I asked, not only did i want some company, but i wanted this Ava to be safe, now, her brother wasn't here to protect her.

ava Throughout the days that you were here I never knew, So lost, I never knew that you'd go so soon.
A heavy sigh was emitted into the damp air as Ava closed her eyes. Every few moments, the lightning would make her jump and smile, but her eyelids grew heavy, and she just wanted to sleep. Nothing shocked her more though, until Montè approached and nudged her shoulder. She felt her skin crawl, and her eyes snapped open when he nudged her. She listened to the urgency in the green-eyed stud's voice. No, don't rest here. Snorting uneasily, Ava closed her eyes again, trying to imagine what Bryce would've done in this situation. The stallion told her to stand, so she did. He backed up to give her room, but it took a while for Ava to gain enough strength to stand up. Her forelegs struck the turf as she pushed herself up, then she listened to Montè. He told her it wasn't safe, but aside from the storm, she didn't see anything deadly in the area.
"Oh, well, uh, I don't know. Bryce didn't tell me what to do around other stallions."
She mumbled the words quietly, staring at the sky, then to the brawny black stallion speaking to her. Her tresses stuck to her thick neck, making her shake them off in a frustrated manner, before she really started to listen. Forgotten Valley. Follow me. Safe. Ava's auduals perked forward, then drooped to the side, as she pondered over the thought. Was she supposed to say yes? Bryce never looked over this stallion, he didn't know if Montè was safe or not. Still, he promised safety in the Forgotten Valley, so she decided to take a chance.
"I suppose I can go there, maybe for a night or two, until I can find a place to stay. So, uh, lead the way Montè."
Her reply was short, but that tone of angelic notes never left as she looked down at the green eyed stallion. Reaching forward tentatively, she nudged his shoulder, and then sidled alongside him.
