Through the fire and the flames we carry on...
It was a pleasure to return here, many days I had spent wandering these lands, getting to know them, and generally having a good time..Many nights i had spent alone, dreaming, listening to the owls talking, or late sleeping mammals.
As i approched the Forgotton Valley, I slowed from my three beat pace to a jagged trot, then a walk, i sighed as the sweet smell of apples and blossom trees reached my nares, home was such a sweet place to be. I snorted loudly, and tossed my dial a little. for a few weeks, no other equine but myself had past through these lands, therefore, i gathered that they were unclaimed. I walked a little further into the lands, until i could hear the sweet trickling of the nearby stream, i followed it around to where i met the small pool, which was filled with the gushing waterfall above me. My eyes were alight, i smiled, and reared, almost vertical. Striking the air hard, three times with my right foreleg. "I now pronounce these lands claimed, under the name of Millcroft Montè Carlo" Landing softly, i snorted, and turned my head to see if Ava was in sight.

ava Before today I said the words I shouldn't have, Words to hurt you in the moment, but after that..
Ava's legs still trembled, but they pushed her towards the body of Montè's disappearing one. A fatigued breath escaped her, and long before the black stallion dropped to a trot, Ava was already walking. Her eyes were bright though, pretty excited about staying in the secluded valley. She was also scared; She didn't know Monty at all, and it was intimidating to live with a stallion that you didn't know. An unsteady breath escaped Ava as she drew up alongside Montè. A faint smile played on her lips as the green-eyed stallion reared, claiming the land. Then the smile disappeared. If he claimed it, then that meant that he had a herd of his own, but I was too young to be in a herd! That troubled be slightly, but then I released a small nicker, speaking slowly.
"It's pretty here."
Her angelic voice carried out through the valley, and then she looked at the black arabian stallion, taking a few steps forward. Her eyes glittered as she gingerly cut her way through the realm. It was a little bit like Bryce's home, with his family. Ava smiled brightly, and then looked back towards Montè, nickering softly as she continued forward. She kept walking until she found an area hidden by trees. Lowering her body with a groan, Ava again rested her chin on the ground, heaving out small breaths. She still didn't feel to comfortable with the new stallion, but she watched him with drooping eyes, auduals perked forward tightly.

So far away, we wait for the day... I turned and smiled as the fae entered the lands, harks perked forwards as she spoke I smiled sweetly It's magical.. My voice was nothing above a whisper, I looked around and breathed in heavy gulps of the sweet smelling air. I watched her, she was magical, just like this place, but she had said she would only stay for a few days, would she stay longer? I hoped so, i already liked her, but she seemed very unsure as she laid down under the shelter of a small wooded area, I didn't walk over, but my gaze was glued to the beautiful femme, She was tired, i could tell, but she seemed to be stopping herself from sleeping. Ava. Sleep, it's okay, i'm your friend, i'm not going to hurt you, i'l take care of you, guard you with my life. You have my word. I told her, it was true, i would never treat a mare bably, i had been brought up to love and respect all femme's. I sighed softly, and lipped up a few mouthfuls of Lushious grass. It was different here, in all the other places i had wandered, the grass was a crispy yellow, hardly any water could be found either. but here, both were plentiful, prehaps it was because the trees and protecting valleys had stopped the sun from killing all the food off. ava You couldn't fight it anymore, you turned to cry, And I'll never forget the look in your eyes.
Ava could faintly hear Montè's soft reply. It was hardly above a whisper, but it was a reply none the less. "It's magical.." Ava couldn't help but to not in agreement, looking around the lush valley once more. It was a magical place, much like home. The rain hadn't reached this forsaken place yet, but it sure smelt like it, and the spotted ess couldn't wait. Still, that desire to sleep was strong, and she kept trying to fight it, until Montè spoke again. The black stud sounded exactly like Bryce. She smiled, and listened to him speak, his tone comforting her. When he finished speaking, Ava nodded slowly, and started speaking, her crisp words floating to the green-eyed stallion.
"You sound just like Bryce, my brother. He would have said the exact same thing."
She smiled again, before the spotted mare's eyes shut, finally comforted enough to let her guard down for the day. She didn't stay asleep for long though, and she was awake within an hour, but she felt renewed and finally got rid of that sensation of being fatigued. Her body rose, dried of the sweat and dirt that she'd acquired over the past day, but her mind was on the arabian stallion that she was with. Her crown raised, and she pushed her way out of the sheltered area, then looked around. She lowered her crown, facade covered by immactulate tresses, and then she drank, a lot, until her throat was no longer dry. Ava smiled faintly, and raised her crown, nickering for Montè. While she still looked for him, she spoke.
"Hello Montè. Is there, anyone else who lives here?"

We're free before the thunderstorm..
I smiled as she spoke, I wanted to meet this Bryce she talked about, we seemed so alike. My words seemed to put her at rest, i blew quietly through my nares and nodded. I turned around, not wanting to leave her, but she was tired and needed to rest, I jogged away, but stopped to look at her, she was sleeping, for a few moments, i stood and watched her, what was she dreaming? Similar things to me? I wondered, but soon, i walked further away, out of sight, and lowered my crown to graze.
After a while, i heard her stir, i kept my head lowered, still grazing, but my eyes were locked on the direction she was coming from, when she nickered, i returned it, and trotted to her side, Reaching out slowly and touching her shoulder, when she spoke, my harks perked forward a little more, Hello Ava, are you refreshed now? I paused, and stepped back, looking at her, before continuing speaking No one else lives here, i was alone beofre i met you, and will be alone again, when you leave... She had only said she would stay for a few days, until she found a home, but would the Forgotton Valley change her mind about leaving me? I wondered, i did not want to be alone again, i needed her company, i needed her by my side.

ava Now that you are gone you'll never see, The two of us touched love.
When Ava spotted Montè's dark hide coming towards her, she smiled brightly, her facade tossing in the air in an excited manner. Her heart thudded a little bit faster, and her legs pushed off the ground, prancing in place like she did back at the brook. She smiled when the green-eyed stud touched her shoulder, making her arch her neck, and bumped his poll, grooming that spot softly in a circular motion. Her auduals perked forward, catching the black arabian's words. Her only response was to nod, her light tinted eyes glittering brightly. Then Montè started speaking again. Ava caught every single word, thinking it over carefully. While she did, she noted that the black male stepped back. She released a small nicker, then pushed off the ground, rising in a half rear.
"Well... We can't have that! What if we be two peas in a pod, how's that sound?! I know Bryce always wanted me to have a partner!"
Her sudden exclaimation made her voice rise two octaves, to an unusually high level. She laughed, and then reached out to nuzzle Montè on his shoulders, then her body whipped away, pushing off at a showman like canter. Her family had always acquired it, such a proud gait, but Ava had both, a showing canter, and that smooth gallop that Bryce also had. Snorting, her crown tossed in pure adrenaline, and then she slid to a stop, looking back at the green eyed stud, laughing. Her legs moved up high to her chest as she called out to Monte, begging him to join her.
"How does that sound? I'd like to stay here!"

For the lights all so wasted and gone..
I smiled as this time, she seemed happy with my touch, as she reached up to groom my poll, i extended my muscular neck to groom her neck and shoulder, i could tell she was listening to what i was saying. but he words that escaped her kissers shocked me, my pools widened and i took another step back, i snorted loudly and gave a half rear in happiness She was staying! I squealed, my call bouncing off the valleys edges. I laughed as she took off, her stride was immaculate, so perfect, charming. Absolutly magnificent. I nickered, and cantered after her, my neck arched, crown tucked neatly in by my chest, and my black, streaming tail kinked high in the air. As i caught up with her, I gave her a friendly nip on her hind, and churned into a gallop, flying past her, i bucked playfully, and carried on through my lands, this was home! I would stay here forever, here with Ava, until we died, i just knew it! I slowed so i was closer to her and spoke, my tone excited and happy It's brilliant Ava! I thought you wouldn't stay, i thought i would be alone again, thankyou so much! My voice was a squeal, i was enojying every moment of my new life. Slowing from a canter to a sudden walk, i snroted, hanging my crown low and walking close to a patch of trees, perring inside, curiousity got the better of me and i pushed on, a few twigs sticking in my silky mane.

ava Throughout the days that you were here I never knew, So lost, I never knew that you'd go so soon.
Spotted facial features grew surprised when the black masculine figure reared up. He was obviously excited about her news! The excitement surged between the two equine as Monte jumped forward, after squealing out. The call echoed around the valley's high edges, making Ava tip her auduals back, not used to the sound. Out of the corner of her eye, Ava spotted Monte approaching, looking like the thin boned arabian that he was. A competitive smile spread across her spotted facade, but then he nipped her. It didn't hurt, but it shocked Ava, making her mind screech to her. Her legs stiffened for a few strides, becoming choppy, but she thought it out for a few moments. Monte was still grinning, so she threw her neck side to side, and then followed the black male.
Auduals twitched forward, listening to the male speak. Light tinted orbs searched out those of the green-eyed male, as he spoke. He seemed truly joyful about her decision, it was kind of strange! A laugh emitted from Ava's pink rimmed lips, and then she started to speak, after nipping Monte's hind quarters.
"Alone? You have no such luck with finding partners?"
Ava's voice wasn't demanding, but it was quite curious. Was she the first mare that Monte had found? That was a surprise. Her eyes looked backwards as Monte slowed to a walk, and Ava kept moving, but made a large circle, her crown tucked to her chest as she slowed to a prancing jog. Ava was hesitant about following Monte into the thick brush, but she decided to anyway, and jostled forward, her fuzzy chin bumping into his hind quarters. Her nares widened in a loud snort, but her mouth stayed closed, long enough until she nipped Monte's hindquarters, as if trying to push him forward.

On towards the wilderness.. I gave a small buck as she nipped my hind, then spun around to face her, her words made my gaze fall to the ground, i blinked, then looked back up at her I have been alone for a while now, searching for a lost one, so there hasn't been time to create a herd, but now, she knows, she knows i'm here so when she gets the message, she will come..But...you won't understand.. something i always told myself, no one else would ever understand. Never. I snorted, and perked my harks forwards, and carried on through the bushes, Ava nipped me again, and i shot forwards, laughing, i slowed to a jog and stopped where the trees thinned, there was a small stream, i lowered my dial and drank until i was quenched, then turned around to Ava, smiling. ]Ava, have you ever had any foals? I asked, curious, but also a little embarrased, would she think i was using her? I certainly wasn't, but more than anything, i wanted to start my own family. [/blockquote][/blockquote][/sup]

ava But in the end you found what you were looking for, And I know that whatever happens it's the final result.
The word that immediately rose from Monte's dark lips were unsettling. Ava had feared this. Bryce had never told her what to do if anything like this would happen. It was frightening. Monte's gaze also dropped to the floor. Ava sought out his eyes, their emerald coloring shaded in her light brown orbs. Had he already found a mate? Was he upset about finding a mate, then losing her? An uneasy snort left Ava's lips, as she watched Monte speak about his dear one. Her smile faded, showing a genuine side of hurt. Her spotted hind limbs began to churn, pushing her backwards out of the small, forested trail. As she did so, she stared at Monte, replying, her angelic tone fading. It wasn't really floating anymore, like that guard that she had around her was back up.
"I would too..."
Her reply was soft, her voice fading to a mumble, and she thought of Bryce. Their situation was exactly the same, and Monte was doubting it. A soft sigh escaped her lips, as Ava jolted forward, passing by Monte and jumping across the stream with an elegant nature. She then stopped, her body remaining completely still. Her auduals twitched, but her eyes remained forward, blinking back the emotions that she didn't want to deal with. Instead, Ava angrily swished her thick tresses, stomping a hind foreleg in the process.
"Bryce was my best friend. I don't care if he was my brother, I miss him so much, and he just left one day. I asked my mom and dad, but they didn't want to tell me, so I went exploring for a whole year just to find him, and I did. He had an adopted foal, and two mares with him. He promised me that I'd see him again, that he'd come with me where the rain fell, but I'm not so sure."
Ava replied, her tone brisk. She swallowed back a lump growing in her throat, and swished her tresses again, slapping them against her dry coat. Monte's next question made Ava really freak out. "Have you ever had any foals?" Tipping her crown so far to look at Monte, without moving her body make her neck crack with stiffness. She winced, but then stared at Monte, her eyes full of disbelief. Warning signs flashed off in her mind, of what Bryce told her, but she chose her words, and replied carefully.
"No, I'm only four years old. Why?"
Her eyes read as a somewhat frightened gaze, but in an instinctive manner, Ava swung her hind quarters in a half circle, and she raised her crown, nares widening.

Feel the pain of a lifetime lost in a thousand days..I noticed her sudden change of expression, my green eyes looked up at her, full of sadness, as she spoke about Bryce. I swallowed, and blinked back tears. I only met her a few times, and she held something that made me complete, even at that young, dangerous age, she was like a sister to me, yet, one day, just like bryce, she dissappeared. But..I haven't seen her since. My tones were crackling slightly, just thinking about her. but i cleared my throat, and snorted, stepping forward to ava, placing his front hooves in the cool water. Now, after i had asked her about foals, she stiffened even more. I felt sorry for myself, i was pushing too much on her at once. I sighed softly, and backed up a little, tepping back across the stream, that was acting like a barrier, and i needed her to break through it. So am I, but I was wondering, if- em, would you like to start a family? I stuttered, my words coming out edgy and embarassed, but i quickly added, in a fast tone It doesn't matter if you don't though Ava, don't worry, it's really okay. We can wait, or not start a family at all, i don't mind..Don't feel preesured. It was a bit of a shot out of a gun, my words were fast, falling over each other, i tucked my crown to the side for a few moments, waiting for the outrage from the mare. ava But I still want you to return and see, It was nothing but destiny.
Ava's off-set gaze was interrupted when Monte looked as if he would well up in tears. Her words never broke off in uncertainty though, as she continued. When she finished, she let Monte speak, staring at the overcast sky, a smile playing on her lips, but it disappeared when the green-eyed stallion spoke. His tone was so sad, it surprise Ava so. Her eyes widened in disbelief, and her head shook, neck raising up. Slinging her spotted facade in a side to side motion, Ava halted, her tresses swinging, whipping her sweat-dry barrel, before she started to speak. Her sweet tone was still there, but there was an edge to it, like she was proving a point.
"But see, that's the thing. You've known your... partner?- for only a few days, maybe a month. But I've known Bryce for all my life. He's two years older than me, and I've always been his little baby sister. I've had more time to build up my relationship with him, and learn to love him, and then have it taken away when he left."
Even as Ava started to speak, she dawned on the fact that Monte had spoken about the "complete feeling." Ava made no response, but her light colored lips twitched, like she was in an uncomfortable situation. She remained quiet though, and instead let her auduals droop against her skull, her crown drawing close to her chest, and her eyelids dropped. A soft sigh rose from the bottom of her throat, barely audible, but it shook her thick build. Her eyesight never changed, but it narrowed, watching Monte when his mouth started to form words. His offer was amazing, and heart stopping at the same time. Her heart thudded faster, her eyes searching Monte out when he stepped forward, stepping across the creek, but then he backed off and offered Ava a foal. A family starter. Ava started to speak, but Monte started speaking again. He was so worried. It almost made Ava smile, but she was trying to refuse. She didn't really want a family, not yet. Still, Monte seemed so genuine, Bryce would have like him, or, really, he will. Bryce did promise after all.
"Well, I... I don't know, I've just met you and it's just that..."
A small noise escaped Ava's lips as she felt a large drop of rain drop on her muzzle. Her crown raised, staring at the sky for the rain she longed for. Feeling another drop land on her spotted facade, she smiled. Bryce. Looking towards Monte, Ava kept the smile on her features, and then her limbs lifted, all in pattern. They suddenly pushed her forward, crossing the stream at a jog, that showman's prance, tresses spreading across her spotted, thick neck, her whipcord kinked to show her heritage. She landed lightly on the other side, shaking off the extra water than landed on her barrel, then she looked at Monte's green eyes, speaking.
"Sure. Bryce always wanted-wants, to be an uncle, so I will start a family with you. Uh, where do we go?"
Ava replied nervously, acting bashful. Her eyes peered past Monte, and her legs took long steps past the black arabian male, breaking into a quick footed gallop. Her crown arched against her chest, whipcord kinked, as she leaped over strewn logs, auduals pinned in determination to outrace the green-eyed masculine figure.

Through the fire and the flames we carry on..
I rasied my crown and looked at Ava with sad eyes, she was right, her relationship with Bryce was much stronger than mine. Slowly, i swallowed, and sighed lightly. Lets just say..i know how you feel.. I stepped to her side and embraced her neck with mine for a few minutes, before backing off as she began to speak again. My eyes grew wide as she stuttered out her words, but then came a better, clearer anwser. I smiled widely, and blinked Thankyou Ava.. We go to the breeding grounds, then we return back here I spoke quietly, i was so excited about all of this, i had only just met this fae, and already, my feelings were so intense for her, and we were about to start a family! A small nicker escaped my lips and i tossed my crown as she took off again, i went after her, laughing. Lets go! I exclaimed, jogging on the spot
