Where am I going?
The weather was as good as it could be on a fall afternoon, the sun was shining and the birds where flying over head on there way south for the winter. It was breeding season once again and this land known as Midnight Acres was teaming with hormonal stallions and testy mares. Yet amongst all of the happenings one equine who lived in Hollow Woods was tuned out to all of it.
Off in the distance was a young stallion who was soon approaching his second birthday, and he was as confused as he had ever been in his life. Shadrik stood with his head low to the ground grazing on the sweet grass next to the river. The last few months had been well confusing for the youngster, he was at a point in his life where he didn’t know what to do. He had taken a few months off and left Hollow Woods, he had a good time, he had joined a small herd of other stallions and there he had reached his first birthday, and shortly after returned home. Shadrik had found Emira who he had fallen in love with before he left but he wasn’t so sure that she felt the same way anymore.
Snorting Shadrik shook his chestnut main and looked around him, he needed to get her off of his mind. Maybe what he needed to do was move on, away from Hollow Woods and claim his own land. No he couldn’t do that he wasn’t ready, and he felt obliged to stay for at least another year now that he was useful to Chaos.
With the sound off hoofs in the distance Shadrik hid all of his feelings, so they would not show on his features. The bold and daring Shadrik returned, flaring his nares, the skewbald yearling searched for a scent.
