As the night rolled in, Chaos returned from his journey that day, looking for any loner mares, today, the lands of Midnight Acres were empty, but that didn't bother him, breeding season was here again, and he needed to speak to Lyric. Would she bear a foal this year? It had been to late last year, but now..
Jolting into a trot, the stallion called out to her, none of the mares could be seen, prehaps they were all resting. The hot autermn days were very tiring, and with the heat not dieing down as it neared winter, things weren't looking good. His deep silky tones echoed throughout the lands again, calling to the mare.

Can I Trust You?
Today was hotter than the days had been before it. The heat troubled the skewbald mare, it was after all fall and the heat should have been diminishing and not increasing. She had stayed in the shade for the better part of the day, it was to hot to go out wondering or to even hold a small conversation.
Now that night had approached the wind had cooled down the air and the mare decided that she would go out for a walk. While on her way to the stream Lyric herd a call from Chaos, and chose to ignore it for she figured it was for one of the other mares. But, she was wrong.
Harks pricked forward when the fae realized that the chestnut devil was looking for her. It didn't take her long to get to Chaos and when she could see him she knew immideatly why he was calling her. It was fall and fall brought the season to breed. Would she accept his offer to produce his spawn? Lyric didn't know how she felt about Chaos for this fae he was just there and although she had respect for him, that really amounted to all of her feelings. Realizing that she was now only a mere few feet from the stallion the fae stopped her advancement.
Hello, Chaos. How are you today
The two horses had never spoken alone. They always meet in herd gatherings or Shadrik was always with her. She was interested to see how their conversation would hold up.

A small nicker escaped his muzzle as the mare approched, he stepped up to her and nipped her gently on the shoulder, then lipped at her mane. He took a few steps back and looked at her with his deep black eyes, harks tipped forward at her comment, he sighed softly and blew into her nostrils Hello Lyric, I am well, thankyou. Yourself? tones were deep and those of velvet, like always when he spoke to his mares. The two had never been alone before, and he felt rather guilty about it, he was always too busy checking up on the foals, or sorting the slave out. I have called you to speak about the breeding season, would you like a foal from me this year? He wasn't one to push, tell or blackmail his mares into breeding, as it was them who had to carry the young one. It was entirely up to her. As it was too late last year, i thought i'd give you a choice this year. He snorted softly, and lowered his skull to the ground to lip up a few blades of dry grass, he chewed, and swallowed slowly, then looked back at the mare.

As he nipped at her tassels and shoulder Lyric became a little surprised by his actions, but she concealed it well. As he breathes his air into her nares, the fae took in the scent of his warm breath. She had to admit Chaos was an attractive brute, and she could see why he came home with at least a new mare every week. But, she was still so uncertain about him. Why? She didn't know.
I am well, thanks for asking.
The fae blew her own breath in Chaos nares. She was going to be open to him, and maybe allow him to see more of her then anyone had seen in a long 6 months.
Laughing to her-self a small smile played across her maw. He was one to get right to the point. But, was she ready for a foal? Signing heavily the skewbald fae relaxed a little, she was trying to listen to what her heart was telling her, or it was the one that was damaged. She did want a foal, it was what she lived for. The fae's thoughts then travled to Shadrik. How would he feel? The colt had ben her only concern over the past 8 months would he be angry that he wouldn't be the center of her attention? Looking at Chaos, she tried to make a discison.
Actualy Chaos, I would like to foal this year
Her heart felt a lot lighter, it was out there and there was no turing back, partly because she didn't want to. Stepping forward Lyric nipped the stallions neck playfully.

The now black shadowed brute stepped forward and nodded when she said she was okay..He was glad, for once, he liked just being with one mare, it was more emotional, more calm than being surrounded by the whole herd all the time. He sighed softly as she blew into his nostrils, taking in her scent, he sidestepped smoothly to her side and lipped at her mane gently. He had asked the question, straight to the point, as always, but Lyric seemed abit unsure, of course, there was still Shadrik to worry about, but he was growing now, and would soon be the warrior of the lands, he could take care of himself. When the brown and white painted mare spoke, Chaos perked his harks forward at her words, Excellent, well, now it is dark, i think we should make haste to the breeding grounds then meet back here, by the river, agreed? He asked, jogging on the spot a little, he was excited, this breeding would make them a family, just like all the others, as she nipped him, a deep laugh escaped his mouth, and he sidestepped away from her, before taking off at a canter out of the lands, in the direction of the breeding grounds.
[la badeda laaaloo]
Returning to Hollow Woods did not take aslong as it should of, all the way back from the breeding grounds, the stallion had sat at a medium gallop, his mane and tail wer streaking out behind him, his eyes wide, nares flared, and harks pricked forward. As he reached his home, he slowed to a bouncy trot and snorted loudly, his sides heaving as he slowed to a walk back to the River, down by the cliff.

The fae didn’t respond to the stallion’s question for her answer was understood unspoken. A slight smile appeared briefly on the mare’s maw as Chaos pranced around. Lyric knew that the chestnut could sense that she was uneasy, but with something like this she was having trouble hiding her emotions. When Chaos cantered towards the Breeding Grounds, Lyric didn’t follow right away. She was between a rock and a hard place, some how she felt it was too soon. But, she had already told the brute that she would be breeding and for her to stand him up would be rude. So off the skewbald mare went, at a gallop to catch up to Chaos. .......................................................................................................
Taking her time on her way home, Lyric stopped at some f he grounds to see what was going on outside of Hollow Woods. Midnight Acres really was a nice place, maybe the fae would stay here forever. Crossing the entrance of Hollow Woods, Lyric began a steady trot to the river. While on her way, the mare began to think. She was much differ then the other mares in Chaos land, they all seemed to be emotionally attached to him, they all called him my lord or my stallion, but Lyric wasn’t or hadn’t, and she wouldn’t. Slowing to a walk, the skewbald damsel made her way down the cliff and to Chaos side.
His breath was a little heavy, and she knew that he had been here long before her arrival, but that time allowed Lyric to process everything that had taken place. Orbs looked over Chaos, trying to find an emotion for him, but there was nothing. Lyric had shut her self down after the death of Nirhbay, and the chance of her trusting a stallion was slim to none. But, Lyric was carrying Chaos, foal and therefore some physical contact would be permitted. Stretching out her boa the fae’s maw was brought to the chestnuts pelt and then taken away.
You arrived back rather quickly.
Holding eye contact with the brute as she spoke, Lyric could see that the prospect of another foal, thrilled the stallion, and that excitement forced a hint of happiness in her follow (a light brownish color) eyes.

Harks perked forward at the sound of approching hooves, a quiet snort was emitted from his maw, and his eyes searched out for Lyric, as if on que, she appeared through the trees, he nickered to her. In such a short space of time, he had become quite attached to this mare, and he didn't know why. As she touched him, his eyes softened, and he extended his neck to touch her shoulder, then brought it back Yes, i did, i do not like leaving my lands unatteneded at such dangerous times. He spoke softly, the tone he used with all of his mares. eyes lowered slightly so he could make contact with hers, but she looked so sad, was it him? Lyric..is everything alright? He had probly come across too strong, maybe she didn't really want a foal from him...

At the stallion’s words, Lyric became confused. What was so dangerous about these times? Was there something threading Hollow Woods and those who lived amongst it? Should the skewbald mare know what was going on? Had she missed a herd meeting or the signs that would clue her in? Visage held a look of concern, and wonderment.
What has you troubled Chaos?
With her words the fae stepped closer to the chestnut stallion and ran her maw along his muscular neck. Then stepped back and looked Chaos in the eyes, but there was no emotion to pick up on, well one that would explain what the threat was. The only emotion that Lyric could see was one that she couldn’t put a name to but she knew it was for her, and it was an emotion that resembled a bond.
Seeing that caring look in his eye’s caused Lyric to take a few steps back. Why did he have to care for her, why couldn’t she just be a mare in his herd? That was all she wanted, to just blend in, and not be noticed. In fat if it wasn’t for Shadrik’s needs Lyric would still be wondering, the herd life was something she resented now. Auds came forward as the brute spoke, so he had noticed something was wrong, Lyric was slipping she needed to close herself off again.
Everything is fine. Why would you ask such a question?
It was an act, she knew why he would ask the question, for she had shown too much of what she was feeling, but worse she allowed her-self to feel it, to feel the pain of her past.

Chaos's soft eyes looked at the mare. With deep concern, he sighed, Nothing is troubling me Lyric, why do you ask? I just do not like to leave the lands unattended, it would put stress on the mares Was he showing something untrue, he didn't know. He snorted and lowered his muzzle to Lyrics stomach then backed up to look into her eyes. It just seems like your troubled, what has happened in the past Lyric? You can tell me, its okay.. He wanted to know exactly why she was feeling like this, her being upset was troubling him. He highered his gaze to look at the stars, his black eyes held a shine of silver of the tiny planets, again, he sighed, and looked back at the mare.

The skewbald mare stood and watched as the chestnut stallion spoke, he was truly an interesting character, unlike any she had come across before. Chaos was a dark down to the bone, but he cared, and he wanted all of his mares to be content and for his foals to have a good life. Lyric sighed as Chaos, touched her barrel, this foal was lucky, it had a good father, one who would hope fully not be killed like Shadrik's had. Shaking her head, Lyric got her passed away from her memory. The mare had promised her-self not to re-live those days, and yes maybe she was running away.
My past Chaos, is something I do not re-live. Nor will it be told from my mouth.
Pausing she made eye contact with him, and a thank you played across her orbs. It was an unspoken thank you to show that she appreciated the fact that the he thought about her. Then her mind traveled to her son, and Lyric thought about his future, and hoped that his past would not haunted him as the event hunted her.
Shadrik, and I have both shared one memory in the past that I will speak of. When he was only two months old Shadrik's, father was killed by a stallion who I had fled from years before. The last memory we have of the stallion was his scream of death.
Siging, Lyric's body shivered slightly as her mind took her into the past, the running the scream and the pain.
I have told you this because, although we have not been here long. I know that Shadrik looks up to you. And I want to thank you for letting him, us, join your herd.
Taking a step forward Lyric laid her skull on the brutes back, and then stepped back waiting to see what he would say.

The brute stepped abck as she spoke. She did not wish to speak of her past, revealing silently that it was a painful one. Chaos lowered his head in a siggn of respect, she did not have to tell him. It was entirely up to hrer. As she carried on, she revealed some of her memories. Chaos's harks shto back for a moment, but weere brought forward when she continued ot speak. Ah Lyric, although your story is upsetting, you mst learn to move on, things like that happen all the time. However, i'm glad i found you and shadrik, i'm lga you part oof my family. And i'm proud to say you live here. He looked deep into her eyes and brought his neck out to embrace her, for a whiel, he stood there, but then he backed away. Wondering what she would say next.

{OOC: Same thing as the post in TM} When the mare finished speaking she was slightly shocked by the fact that she had just relieved her past and had not felt, well anything. Sure, she was sad when she talked about Nirbhay, but the pain and guilt she had once felt was not there. Had the fae, moved on, or was she just dimply so out of touch with who she used to be that it didn’t bother her?
As Chaos, words reached the fae’s towers; she softened towards him a little. Maybe it was time for her to stop shutting others out and stop trying to be who she was and find out who she is. No it was time, there was no maybe involved.
Yes, I know, and I am working on moving on. And I have to say that I am glad I accepted your offer and not just for Shadrik but, for me as well.
