Dusk begin to fade into darkness as the painted foal wondered his new home, away from his mother. Pillars carried him cautiosly amongst the frozen ground. Winter was arriving fast and the air was bitter. But, the colt wanted to know the land of which he would be living. He had promised his mother he would be staying out of trouble, but being a young colt he went looking for it, by traveling to the places he had yet to walk on. The terrain of Hollow Woods was tricky for a youngster especially one who was not paying attention. Snow began to fall from the dark clouds above and the colt snorted. Painted carcass turned as the foal made his way back to safer ground. He knew enough that snow made footing slippery. Mind wondering, orbs bounced from one area to another. He was anxious to meet the others who where here for Chaos had said he had other occupants of his land. Yet, the colt could not find any.

I, the black mare that lay by the opening to the slaves hell, raised my head to watch the snow droplets as they rained against my pelt. It chilled my bones, but it felt good after the warm summer. I closed my eyes as the foal stirred and kicked my sides. It was becoming a pain this. I lowered my head and moaned. I had heard rumours flinging around that Lakita was carrying a son, a basterd to Chaos and he was to be the new heir and Lakita was to be Chaos bitch at his side. Funny. Thats the way I was told. I looked through the trees at the slave and smiled. She was finally peaceful and quiet. Rest at last. I looked away and sighed, a patched thing trundeling along caught my sight.

Coming to a halt the foal become alert and very still. He could feel his heart pounding against his chest. There was someone he could hear it and smell it but try as he might the foal could not see what he knew could see him. Blowing hot air out of is nose the colt took a step forward and listened, body tense as to how the other horse would react. Speed would have to be the colts defense for he knew this unseen one was fully grown.
The foal let a soft nicker escape from his maw. It was a nicker of a colt, to an elder. He was letting the other know he was little and wanted no harm done. Another hot breath was let out threw the nostrils, as the colt waited scared and alone.

I heard the little whisper of the poor colt. The sound that every colt or filly makes when scared. I smiled and knickered back, a soft nicker. I waited on him to look round and see me, lying on the floor with a bulging belly. I smiled and rose my head to the sky, taking a deep breath and sighing it out. I closed my eyes and bathed in the snow, feeling my coat get covered with the priceless gems of winter. I could just imagine myself, a black femme on the ground with white dots all over, like a dalmation, you can't really tell if i'm a white or black femme. I opened my eyes and stared at the pretty colt.

Pillars fixed onto the horses nicker. The foal felt like the weight was lifted from his shoulders when the sound was friendly. Once again he allowed his orbs to scan for the other, off a few feet he spotted a mare with a large belly laying down. Walking to-wards her, her attributes became clear. The mare was not fat but heavily pregnant, her build was that of his kind, but her color? The young pinto could not tell if she was white with black spots or black with white spots.
Stopping a foot or so away the colt's small yet sturdy body looked down on the mare.
Sorry to disturb you I was just passing threw.
His words where not high pitched like that of a young foal nor deep like that of a stallion.

I smiled at the innocence of the small colt and I smiled at him. I stayed on my knees and drew in a breath, such a pity that this creature was stuck here like me. I nodded and looked away. You did not have to sorry, for I believe you are new to these lands. You came with your mother, did you not? I asked, a smile plastered on my lips and a warm tone to my voice. I waited for the colts response before speaking again. You most be thankful to Lord Chaos that he has granted you stay within his lands. He was kind enough to offer all of us shelter and a home, he has granted some of us with a life growing within. I looked back to the colt and smiled. She nuzzled her barrel with her nose and the foal kicked her side. Such a sweet feeling.

The air was getting colder and the wind was picking up, Shadrik knew he would have to be getting home soon, or his mother would be angry with him. But, he wanted to stay and talk to this other it had been so long sence he had talked to another horse besides his mother. He smiled as a return jesture towards the fae's own smile.
Yes, I came with my mother. We just arrived today.
Looking around he sighed a sigh of contentment, he was great full for Chaos accepting him into is realm. Most other stallions would not allow a colt into their lands that was not of his one blood. Shadrik was determind not to let Chaos down and he would ever be in debt to the great king.
It was very nice of Chaos to let me join his heard, I am very thankfull.
When his orbs saw her belly move, the foals eyes light up, he had never been close to a fae that was pregnant. He was happy for the horse for she seemed to be dilight with the thought of being a mother.
What are you gonna name it?
Shadrick's voice was extremly excited as he fought the urge to stepp closer to examine her large middel.

I listened to his voice, he seemed quite interested. I looked up at him and pondered his question. I haven't really thought of a name. Most of the other mares will be choosing for theirs, so I guess I'll let Chaos choose. He has theright to, seeing as he is the sire. I spoke, still pondering the thought. I couldn't think of anything. I sighed and started nipping at the budas around me. I looked back to the colt and saw him staring at my belly. I'm guessing you haven't been around pregnant mares much.

As I comprehended her words, I quickly took my eyes off of her stomach. My mother had always taught me that it was rude to stare and I gave the mare an apologetic glance.
I think he would like naming your foal
Shadrik, had not known Chaos for long and he was surly not speaking for him. But, if Chaos was nice to him, a foal who was not his own, he was sure that he would be thrilled to name his very own creation.
Thinking back the colt tried to remember a time where he would have been around pregnant mares, but sense he had never belonged to a herd there was no such memory.
No, I haven't I have only seen them from a ways off. But even at that very few.
As soon as he finished his words his pillars pricked immediately backwards as he herd the noise of hoofs behind him.

It was getting late and the vixen was beginning to worry about her adventurous colt. She knew that he was cunning and had inherited her speed, but curiosity had known to get in the way of his wits. Painted carcass passed the front of the cluster of trees where she had decided they would stay, a high pitched whinny was released from her, but she received no reply. So the vixen set off to look for her young one.
The wind was playing in her favor tonight, which was a relief for the fog was to think to see anything. Head was raised high as the wind blew many different smells threw the mare's nares. After a few minutes of her search, the wind had carried the scent the fae was looking for.
Lyric followed Shadriks sent taking cover in the woods. As the scent became stronger she slowed to a brisk walk then came to a halt as the outline of Shadrik came into view. Taking a step out, Lyric quickly took it back in knocking over a few rocks, for just in front of her foal was another horse. She wanted to see how Shadrik was interacting with others of his kind, but most importantly she wanted to make sure that Shadrik wasn't in danger and was looking around for an easy exit for him.
Shaking her head Lyric cleared her mind, she could tell by the air around that Shadrik was not in trouble and that the fae was being polite, which was good for her sake.
It was unavoidable the fae knew that she was there and it would be rude of Lyric not to introduce her-self, but she hated being around others, especially mares.
Hello I am Torturing Lyrics.
Seeing how she didn't know this mare Lyric introduced her self with her full name, only those she befriended ere allowed to call her Lyric.
Dark orbs looked over the fae, her chestnut coat was spotted from the snow that had fallen earlier. She was a nice looking mare, but Lyric had her beaten by miles. She continued to look the mare over and her eyes rested on the large middle, she was pregnant, and by her looks she would soon be foaling.
What is your name?
Vocals where smooth and soft, yet held a tone of ice.

I smiled at the colt, his alertness was excellent. I looked over the colt towards the approaching mare and dipped my head. I listened to her words, smooth and yet dark. Pleased to meet you. I'm Eris, and you must be this pleasant colts mother. I said, smiling at the colt. I stood up slowly and sighed. I'm sorry if your upset by his lateness. We were chatting about Chaos. Don't blame the colt, blame me. I said, kindly. I was still too light for anyones likings, but I didn't care. I rose my head to the sky and inhaled, sweet scents entered and I could tell most of them. The two newest were strongest so they must be these two horses. I inhaled again, lowering my head and turning to listen to the slave, settling down to sleep. In about 10 minutes, I could drift away.

When the fae spoke Lyric was shocked to find that she wasn't dark as she had assumed all faes would be amongst the lands of Chaos, but that she was just barley a neutral. All respect that she might of had for the fae flew out the window, the only others that Lyric tolerated was those of darkness. But, she forced her-self to be polite for it was Chaos mare and she had no right to be rude for it was Eris home first.
Seeing that Eris was becoming dreary Lyric decided to leave the mare to her peace, for sleep would soon be something of the past when Eris gave birth.
Well I think we will be on our way. It was nice to meet you Eris. Good luck with your foal. Turning the painted mare took a few steps and turned back waiting for Shadrik.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------
A smile crossed Shadrik's face when Eris took the blame for his lateness; he took a liking to her and hoped that she felt the same towards him. He stood quietly as the two mares spoke, it was a different sight, seeing his mother talk to another mare and Shadrik was interested to see how she held a conversation. To his surprise his mother did not seem to like Eris, Shadrik couldn’t understand why, she was nice and had done nothing wrong.
Disappointment came when Lyric spoke, Shadrik had wanted to stay and talk, but he was getting tired and he wanted to get up early and find Chaos, maybe he could help him with something, or just shadow him for the day.
By Eris, it was fun talking to you.
With a leap Shadrik took off at a gallop to race Lyric home.
