You could spill a thousand words and none would mean a thing...
Chaos snorted loudly, and slowed to a wealk from his three beat pace, he glanced behind him, and saw Lyric and her colt appearing through the twisted trees. This way. He reasurred. He snorted again, and came out into the main clearing, none of his mares were here, prehaps they were down in the bottom meadow teasing the slave. He gazed down at the river below, running wild, like it should be in a dark land. He smirked. And looked at the mother and colt Welcome to HollowWoods Lyric, Shadrik. He hoped they liked it. Poor mare, she had just missed out on the breeding season. Well, there was always next year.

Winding Forests led to Hollow Woods, and as soon as Lyric came to the clearing she saw a fast flowing river and mountains surrounding the outer perimeter of the terra. At first glance the fae was pleased with what her orbs captured, but she never got to comfortable anywhere. After a few moments she spoke lyrics dark and not showing any emotion.
Its nice. Lyric knew that somewhere around there were others, for her nares told her so. Wondering how they would react to the new comers, Lyric made a note to keep Shadrik close at all times. Lyric didn’t care about the others liking her for she was thick skinned and nothing bothered her, but she would make sure her son was left un harmed.
How many others are here?
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
It was amazing. There were so many new smells.
The colts’ eyes darted from one place to the next, body shaking with excitement. What lay amoung this land? Air blew out of his noise as he waited for his mother to be finished talking, for he knew that she would not let him alone by himself. He wished she wasn’t so protective sometimes, and now was defiantly one of those times. He nudged her trying to get her to finish talking and come with him. Walking to her crown he whispered
Mom, can we go now… Please?

Chaos snorted softly to the mare when she had finished speaking, he could tell both her and Shadrik were amazed by the place. Thankyou Lyric, and Welocme. He smiled and turned to Shadrik Do you like your new home colt? He asked, wanting to make friends with this one, prehaps he could help raise him, and projuce a true dark stallion. As you know, Shadrik, i am not your true father, however, i will act as good as. If you ever need anything, just come to me, don't be afraid young one. He walked forward and nudged his skull gently. How many others are here? Again, Choas snorted, and shook his head so his crimson forlock spileld over his eyes,. Now there are four mares, a slave mare, and a warrior stallion, and of course, the colt. Would you like to meet them now? Or a little later?

The colts mind exploded with all of the new events. Shadrik had never known what it was like to have a father or even a matured stallion to look up to. Just come to me if you ever need anything… I will acted as good as the words played over and over in his head. A feeling of security and hope flooded the veins of the colt. Shadrik was great full that Lyric had accepted his offer, and he hoped that in time she would come to love this place just as he did. Thanks Chaos. His dark brown orbs were filled with trust and hope. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Looking down at her beloved Shadrik, Lyric sighed with content, finally he felt at home and she would do anything to keep him here. Orbs locked with Chaos and she nodded to him as thanks for his hospitality to her but more so for the words he had spoken to Shadrik. Lyric knew that her son needed a stallion to look up to and she was great full that Chaos had made it clear that he would be there for him. Stepping forward the vixen looked down at the rushing river below and just beyond there she spotted the slight out line of the other mares. Sociable was not something that would ever be used to describe Lyric, and to her the other mares didn’t matter. But, Lyric was not rude, well if not approached rudely that is, she would be kind and friendly to others the mare just never got to close. I will meet them on my own time. Calling them away from there fun to meet me, would be pointless. It was the truth she was just a new mare, why ruin thee fun?

Chaos's dark, evil eyes lit up when he saw the delight in Shadriks face. He was happy, he was pleased his mother had brought him here. It is no problem at all colt. He said proudly, yet still, his voice held that icy, silky tone it would always have, he carried his dark genes from his parents. He would always be a true dark equine. And nothing would get in his way. He snorted, and made his way down the now visable pathway down to the river. Come and drink, here the water is cool and refreshing, you will need it after your long journey here. Chaos made his way carefully down the banking, by now, he was used to the rough terrian underfoot, as months ago, he had jumped off the top of the cliff, and came down on his knees. Now they had heeled, however, they were slightly scarred. Winter had fast arrived, already, Chaos could smell trouble in the air. Storms were fast approching, he needed to warn all the mares, and fast, before it was too late. The thicket. In the outskirts of the central meadow would be a perfect hideout for these storms. There, the trees were tightly packed together, and no weather could reach in, it could easily fit around ten fully grown horses inside, without it being a problem. However, there was no water supply there, so he would have to escort mares down to the river, which would soon nbe overflowing, if they needed a drink. The leaves and ferns however, could keep them going. So Shadrik, do you remember your real father? he asked politly, wanting to know as much as posible about this colt, before he got too old and didn't respect him any more.

Now that he thought about it the colt was thirsty and the offer of a drink was greatly appreciated. Pillars carried him after the chestnut stallion. The path down towards the river was rough, Shadrik would have to be care full where he stepped. Orbs stayed focused on the ground below as to insure he did not take a wrong step.
Snorting as they reached the bank Shadrik lowered his boa and let the cool water flow threw out his parched body. After a dew sips he brought himself back to stand next to Chaos auds tuned into what he was saying.
No. I was only a few months old when he was killed
Voice was filled with the sound of hatred and sorrow for Shadrik remembered how is father was killed that night would haunt him forever.
----------------------------------------------------------------------- The path down to the river was tricky as it promised by its looks. Lyric walked behind Shadrik to insure his safety, she was in one of her over protective moods.
Coming down form the rocky path Lyric waited until Shadrik had his fill and then she carried her self to the river edge. The current was steady down here, it would be a perfect stream to cool off in during the hot summer months.
Hearing Chaos words a shot of pain ran threw Lyrics body, as it did when her love came up. Not trusting her self to be able to hide her emotions, the fae waited a few moments, then backed away from the river. Lyric stood a little way away from the pair, she made sure that her eyes never reached Chaos, right know she was like a book, that was left open. Easy Access.

Chaos watched the colt make his way carefully down the cliff side. For a small colt with spindly legs, he did well. However, there would be alot that Chaos could teach him, he douted he was a true dark, by now, he could tell. Chaos nodded his head as the little one spoke, and snorted softly. He was killed? How terrible.. Chaos hated talking like this, so sweet and inocent, it was not him at all. Harks pinned back to his skull for just a split second, then he brought them forward again. This colt must have loved his father, as Lyric. Head jerked towards her as he noticed her sudden change in mood and her footssteps could be heard backing away. A small nicker of reasurence was released to her, telling her he was no harm to her memories, they would be there forever, untouched, and unharmed. Shadrik, he spoke with his usual silky, icy voice. What happened to your father...if you feel comftable enough to tell me of course. He licked his lips and too ka small step back, giving Shadrik some space.

Body filled with hate Shadrik remembered his fathers murder, it upset him, but the colt wanted revenge by death. Auds laid back as the thought of the ebony stallion crossed him. Spite and hatred coursed threw Shadriks veins, he snorted angrily. The colt trusted Chaos but only to a certain point and the memory of his father would not be shared, with anyone.
He was killed.
The colt repeated what he had said before, it was a signal to Chaos, that Shadrik would not be sharing what his question had asked. Shaking his main Shadrik went to the rivers edge for another drink.
----------------------------------------------------------------------- Some what relived that her son had not caused her to live threw the past Lyric let out a long breath. The three horses stood there, the only sound was that of Shadriks drinking. Shifting her wait from one side to the other Lyric, called to Shadrik. The fae figured the two would go and explore.
Waiting for her son to respond Lyric turned and looked at Chaos. He was a handsome one, but what lay beneath the ego? What was this brute all about? Realizing she was staring Lyric looked away and called for Shadrik again.
Shadrik and I will be around in the terra.
With those words Lyric turned and cantered off. -----------------------------------------------------------------------
The two painted carcass moved away from where they had left their new leader, and soon they were out of sight.
