Patriarch: This is the ruler of Sunset Meadows. Whatever he says, goes. He is allowed to only breed with his chosen mate.
Monarch: This is the mate to the Patriarch. She has the same powers as the Patriarch and can ban, capture, or do whatever she wants with the herd members. The Monarch is only allowed to breed with the Patriarch.
Heirs: These are the male offspring of the Patriarch and Monarch. They are to be the first chosen to rule over Sunset Meadows if the Patriarch dies or becomes ill.
Heiresses: These are the female offspring of the Patriarch and the Monarch. These are the second chosen to rule over Sunset Meadows if there is no male to fill up the Patriarch position and the Monarch is either dead or ill.

Right-hand Man: This is the closest friend to the Patriarch. He has the duties to maintain the territory in good form and to prepare the troops of the army if the need shall arise for war. The Right-hand Man can fill the position of Patriarch if the previous Patriarch should fall and there is no one to fill the Monarch position. The Right-hand Man is allowed to breed with any of the herd mares. But he may not breed with the Monarch.
Matron: This is the closest friend to the Monarch. She takes care of the foals born from the Monarch and follows around the Monarch to take care of any business the Monarch needs her to do. The Matron may breed with any stallion she wishes besides the Patriarch.

Duke: This is just a higher-up position from being a normal herd stallion. The Duke has a bit more power to push lower ranking herd members around. The Duke is not allowed to ban, kill, or capture any other equines without the permission of the Patriarch or Monarch. This stallion may breed with the Duchess or the regular herd mares.
Duchess: The Duchess is the mate of the Duke. She is allowed to breed with the Duke and any lower ranking stallion. The Duchess cannot ban, kill, or capture any other equines without the permission of the Patriarch or Monarch.
Brats: These are the offspring of the Duchess and the Duke. They are not able to breed with any horse higher ranking than this.

Sergeant: This horse is the highest ranking officer in Sunset Meadow's militia. This horse is the one who gives out orders to the General, Soldiers, and Enforcers. The Sergeant can breed with any herd mare or stallion they wish.
General: This horse is the second highest ranking officer in Sunset Meadow's militia. He or she is to follow any orders given to them by the Sergeant. He or she is mainly placed here to help with plans that are made by the Sergeant and to keep things from being always a one-sided thinking strategy. This mare or stallion may breed with any of the herd members.
Soldiers: These horses are the ones that protect Sunset Meadows from danger. They patrol the borders and do the duties their superiors order of them. They may breed with any herd member in the herd.
Enforcers: These are the assassins. They are the ones that go out and kill any trouble-some threat that may harm Sunset Meadows. The Enforcers may breed with any herd member they wish.

Herd Stallions: These are the regular herd stallions that occupy Sunset Meadows. They have no authority to boss their superiors but they may challenge for a higher position. The herd stallions may breed with any herd mare.
Herd Mares: These are just the regular herd mares that occupy Sunset Meadows. They are able to challenge others above them for a higher position in the herd. They may breed with any herd stallion.
Herd Foals: These are the offspring of the Sergeant, General, Soldiers, Enforcers, Herd Stallions, and Herd Mares. They cannot challenge for a higher position till they are at the age of 3 and cannot move away from Sunset Meadows till the age of 2. They cannot breed with anyone.

Captured: These are the unlucky few who get captured by Sunset Meadow's militia during war times. They are held prisoner in Sunset Meadows and are treated horribly. They cannot challenge or breed with anyone in the herd.
Slaves: These are the horses that have become slaves to the herd. They can be won prizes by battles or just some of the captured horses that the Patriarch or Monarch wishes to keep as slaves.
Deceased: These horses are the ones who have lived in the herd and died.
Banned: These are the ones that cannot come back to Sunset Meadows.
