The cramp in my left neck muscles was finally easing. The muscles that had gone into spasm was hurting less and less, yet my dapple grey pelt twitched every now and again from the receeding pain. I stood with my back to a lone willow tree. Its slender frame just bearing my weight as I leaned against it. I was being lazy, no scratch that, I was tired, dog tired, from running all freakin day. At least that pain in the rump, Luty, had finally left me alone. I snorted and flicked my ears at random. The were no flies to worry about today, I had the weather to thank for that. It was much colder here than I had expected. No where near as warm as the more southernly climates I was used to. The weather was pretty miserable here, it varied from light drizzle to huge rain drops, that slid off the leafless willow to splash onto my already soaked back. Happy Days. I snorted, a cloud of mist rose from my nostrils. My muzzle wrinkled in distaste of the little horse made cloud, then I sighed. I would rest hear a while, try and wait out the darn rain, then move on. Where to I had no idea, but I suppose anywhere is better than standing under a lone willow tree, with rain falling on your back.

I n d i g oThe rain poured down over my back, neck and face. My spotted body was completely soaked. I held my head low making my neck and back almost straight as they could get, my limp hurt a very little still from my ringbone disease in my right pastern and cornet. The limp was very noticeable even at a good distance away. Although you might think that I was weak simply because of my limp you were dead wrong I could still tare you up and I would not think twice about even killing you if you tried to mess with me or my love and queen, whom by the way I was heading home to. I missed Amira dearly but I needed to rest and get out of this down pour or I would be returning home to my queen and unborn foal sick with chills or the flu which could in danger them both, and I would do anything to keep that from happening. One brown eye and the other blue I scanned around the rain thickened land for a big covering tree or a nice little cave to hide in a try to out wait the rain. A minute or two later I seen what I was looking for, a cave with a kind of big entrance was just only about ten feet to my left. Turning a little I made my way towards the cave unknowing that another equine was also trying to out wait the down pour. As I entered the warmish cold cave I bumped into a sleeping equine, scaring the daylights out of the also soaking wet horse. The scent of the horse told me she was female. “Oh sorry I did not even see you. I am Indigo master of Zion desert, Is it okay that we share the cave to out wait this horrible down pour? ” WORD COUNT: 315

My auds flicked leftwards, my senses noting the fact that something was approaching, slowly but surely. My head raised a little, and I took the weight off my resting hoof, to bear it on all four limbs. Flight will always win over fight, and with the smell of rain overpowering everything else, I couldn't smell what was coming my way. Great. My tail flicked, my nervous habit, and stepped back uneasily, only to be reminded that I was already leaning against the willow tree, shaken I took a step forward to whatever was coming. The rain and mist made it nigh impossile to see. The farthest I could see was just a mere eight yards. Not alot. At all. I turned away to my right, gracing the entrance of a neighbouring cave, only to be barged into by some god forsaken creature. I whipped round, startled, my limbs curling under neath me, posied ready to spring. My hind limbs bent, ready to spring, a foreleg was curved forward, ready to strike. I halted, my muscles, shaking with the effort to hold my defensive pose. My nostrils dilated and I caught scent or what had barged me, even though I could clearly see what it was. A spotted horse, a stallion, stood drenched before me. He was apoloagizing hastily for barging me. I relaxed my foreleg. Um..yes...of course...blimey your soaked...indeed do come in...its pouring out. I shuffled back allowing more space within the not so very large cave. Steam rose off us. I shook my mane, the little sliding droplets annoyed me, and I turned to the spotted stallion. I'm Pannueta by the way, or just Pan. I shifted my legs, not sure what to do, I tilted my hindquarters to the left, away from his, and leaned against the cave rock wall. Staring out into the falling rain, that came down in torrents.
