ESTELLE

All mares have to choose, have a home or be a wanderer. But they all know what they want. Well, almost all mares.

Estelle's feet pounded on the ground, still damp from the night's shower. She was tired from the long journey, soon to come to a sudden halt. Her gallop turned to a canter, and her canter turned to a trot. As her pace slowed, childhood memories were going through her head. She had been raised well, but after her best friend and teacher left her world her legs carried her as far away as she could get. Estelle had become a wanderer, and unlike some other mares, she had no companion. Now, she was only looking for a shelter, or maybe even a temporary home, if that was possible. Ahead of her was Dream Falls, and she was already starting to like the place. Much farther away was the falls, but even from were she was, she could see it as home. She looked longingly at the territory and gathered the last of her strength, pushing her muscles to work as hard as they could. Within a few more strides, she would have entered Dream Falls. She raced past, her long mane whipping at her face before noticing many other mares, wandering throughout Dream Falls. One of them turned to look at her, and let out a strained whinny.

It's A Thief In The Night To Come And Grab You

My hooves hit the ground as I galloped into Dream Falls. I didn't know what I was doing here but then again, Many of the stallions don't really know either . . . Or do they? I didn't really care about the other stallions, but I would care if they abused any mares in this land. I slowed down to a canter as I got closer to some mares. I looked at them with wonder. I wondered what they thought about me. A mare in the distance caught my eye. I looked at her as I glided towards her. I slowed to a trot and I could hear my mothers soft and sweet voice in my head. 'She looks perfect for you, my dear son' She told me as I smiled at the mare. I spoke up, Hoping to make a good impression.

"Hello there! I'm Theo. And you are?" I asked her. I looked at my surroundings and they weren't as fascinating to me as she was. I smiled at her and my mother spoke to me again. This time she let the wind carry her words to me. "Theo, Please make sure you won't be as mean to her as your father was to me" She said to me. I nodded, Accepting her orders. I looked at the mare again and I didn't look away. she was too beautiful to look away from.

Estelle trotted through Dream Falls wide-eyed at her surroundings. There were many mares and a couple stallions that were probably looking for a mare, a strange scenario for Estelle, but at least they all looked slightly friendly. Her ears folded back, tuning into the footsteps she heard behind her. She quickly whipped her head around and saw a stallion, trotting eagerly behind her. He introduced himself quickly, showing off his looks. Estelle, taken back, shyly batted her lashes at him and said "Hello, Theo. I'm Estelle" in a soft voice. She matched her pace with his, now shoulder by shoulder. "Do you live at Dream Falls?" she asked him, gazing into his eyes. She speed up a little, anxious to see the rest of this new place. Ahead was the falls, and sprinkling off them, tiny water droplets, misting the nearby horses and vegetation. Estelle looked back at him smiling slightly and remembering her teachers words, One day you will meet the one meant for you., but then, she only cared about him. Now that he was gone, she was happy to find a stallion interested in her.

That's Just The Way I Roll

I smiled as she spoke to me, Her soft voice sounded just like my mothers voice. I listened to her introduce herself as Estelle. "Estelle, What a beautiful name! No, i don't live here, I come here because the falls are so pretty" I said, Looking at Estelle then the falls. I smiled at both of them and i turned my attention back to Estelle. "What are you doing here, Elle? do you mind if I call you that?" I said to her, Wondering if I could give her a nickname that suited her well.

RAGE

My ears were pulled back in a warning that I was angry. I had run into Chaos, my nemesis. I had received an invitation to join him on the Battlefield and I was going to accept it. I was waiting for the letter of rules to arrive. I wasn’t going to let him call the shots so I was going to send a letter back with my own rules. I saw a mare and a stallion up ahead. Of course, lately stallions were all over mares. I approached them and bowed to the lady.
“I am Rage and your name is?” I asked her, completely ignoring the other brute.

Let It Rock

I snarled at the stallion as he came into view. He spoke to Elle, Completely ignoring me. Something then clicked in my head as I heard his name. I heard someone talking about this big fight between Rage and Chaos. I looked at the stallion and I spoke to him, My words sharp.

"Hey Rage, Is that your name? Anyway go fight with Chaos. I bet her's going to win anyway" I growled at him. I bared my teeth, Ready to fight for Elle if I had to. I moved so close to her that our coats were touching. I stood protectively next to her, Ready to defend her if he questioned her. I spoke again, Calmly this time.

"Don't you have enough mares in your herd by now?" I asked him. I looked at him then at Elle. I was still very close to her and I hoped she didn't mind me being so close. I didn't want her to go away from me and join Rage, He already had a queen so he didn't need anymore mares unless they wanted to go with him.

RAGE


A half smile filled my face as I stared at Theo. The little brute dared threaten me. He wouldn’t get away with it. My grey eyes bore into his and I smiled. I stepped forward.

“Listen boy, you can have her for now but after I finish with Chaos, I’m coming after you and I will take your pretty little mare back with me so you better be ready,” my words were less than a whisper so that the mare couldn’t hear them.

My voice was calm but held my meaning. I was going to have this mare either way.

Estelle looked at the stallion, happy to be talking to someone. "Not at all. I'm here to rest for a couple of days, mabye find a companion." her eyes dropped. As she spoke, another stallion attached himself to her side. Rage? The Rage that was fighting Chaos? She shrunk back, suddenly embarrassed about all the attention. Elle, or so Theo called her found herself squished between the two stallions. She looked at Rage, glad of Theo's confidence that bounded off him and unto her. "Rage" Elle snarled at him. "I think that everyone knows how the fight will end. Chaos, will have won and you, well who knows what your little brain will have decided to do" she said bravely, hoping not to get Theo in a fight. She was now standing right next to the falls, and feeling refreshed, she jumped into the small pool that it had created. Happy to have splashed Rage, she climbed back on sturdy ground before walking gracefully over to Theo's side. She wondered if that bothered him, and self-consciously scooted herself a few centimeters away.

I smiled at Elle's words. She was quite the brave girl. I looked after her as she walked to the water and jumped in. She made a splash that hit Rage and I smiled. She came up to me gracefully and she stepped back a few centimeters away from me. I looked at her and I smiled. "It's okay Elle, I don't mind if you're close to me. So you need a companion? I would be glad to claim you and be your mate, If you will let me" I said to her, Moving closer to her so my coat was touching hers. I looked at her and I nuzzled her cheek affectionately. I pulled some of the knots out of her mane with my teeth as I stayed at her side.

Estelle walked Theo, studying him as he talked. He seemed to be a kind stallion, one that wouldn't hurt her. She smiled at him, once making her decision. "Theo, I'd love it if you were my compainion." she said to him, her words soft and sweet. She softly whinned affectionatly as he tried to untangle her mane. With her hair flowing freely in the wind, she happily snuggeled up to Theo, her new compainion. She pulled her neck up suddenly and craned it toward Rage, waiting for him to leave.
