Gaspar Catch me if you can! I perked up. Herd, come to me! Rage yelled. Time to take a break from scrutizing the dirt o' the land, I chuckled loudly to myself. My bay pistons took an airy two-beat across the slowly chilling terra of Sunset Meadows. Slowly chilling? I thought, snorting. The summer was warm and joyful, but it was starting to get cold. Ah. It was fall. And next year I would be able to participate in the breeding couples party. If Rage let me. If. That was not acceptable often. Oh well. A little too early to think about that. I came to a halt six feet away from my lord. I was the first one here! Here I am, Sir.

Ebonite pistons struck the frozen earth with a muffled sound. Leaves scattered themselves about the ground giving cushion to one's hooves as they trod on the soil. Abacuss cantered about in the meadow where the flowers were beginning to lose their sustenance and hue. He had no idea where he was going but earlier he had heard the bellow of a stallion not far off and he had gotten the scent of the stallion was well. That is, if this stallion was the same one that had made the bellow. Abacuss was unsure if he was even allowed on the grounds of Sunset Meadow yet. He hadn't even met the king and asked him for a title. This bothered him.
When would he get his chance to make up for what he had done before? When would he not screw up? Abacuss slowed his gait to a sullen walk as he continued onward through the vast meadow. The sun had risen high in the sky and most likely it was nearing noon or a little after. Hanging his dished head low to the ground he thought about his disappointed father and his mother he had left who had been ashamed. Oh how he wanted to cry and just let his feelings overwhelm him.. but he could not do such a thing. What if he ran into the king? What if?
Lifting his head a little the colt looked out toward some trees. There two equines stood. Who were they? Abacuss halted. Would they notice him if he stayed right there? Pfft, of course they would! He stuck out like a sore thumb in this field of flowers. Sighing, he took a few more steps in the direction of the small group before him before he halted once more. What would they think of him?
