A loud pounding of hooves echoed across the vast meadow of flowers and trees. These hooves carried a black, bulky form. A colt. The colt gathered up his legs and galloped across the spacious terrain, dirt flying back behind his limbs as he kicked up dirt. A shrill cry burst from the colt's lips as he tossed his head to the side. Long strands of his black locks waved in the wind.
Abacuss began to slow his tempo as he approached a lake. The sparkling water danced in the sunlight as it beamed down upon Sunset Meadows.
Coming near the water's edge the colt then halted. His hooves dug into the composition, indenting half-circle moons into the soil where he stopped. Glancing left to right the ebony bronc confirmed that there was no one around. So lowering his head he parted his lips to take a drink from the cool liquid. Slowly quenching his thirst.
Finishing his drink the colt elevates his skull. His ears rotate to and fro as he listens to the sounds around him. Abacuss peers up toward the sky; it was clear with only a few clouds to obscure the azure canvas.
Where was the leader of this place? Abacuss thought to himself. Flicking his banner over his hindquarters the colt snorted softly. Looking around the terrain the boy began to think of his father and his mother. What were they doing now?

ASTHELA
If I gave you the truth would it keep you alive?
From the large lake the sunlight bore down upon, giving it an even brighter sheen than it was before, the grasses that rolled around the banks gave them pale green reflections, but also the yellowish bright waves from the sun. The water itself rocked gently back and forth, crashing around the cattails and her dark ebon legs in which were submurged up to the knees and her refined thoroughbred head dipped down into the cool liquid, her nares making small bubbles as she took long drinks to sooth her parched throat. Her harks would twist around to catch the sounds of the nearby animals, the tweets of the birds and the crickets of the well.. crickets. But there was another sound on the horizon, that of hoofbeats.
Her head shot up from it's gentle resting position, mocha eyes darting around for the source of the sound and she was suprised to see another colt, but this was not Gaspar, this was another colt in which she has never seen before. She turned on her heels and splashed from the watery depths and scrambled up the slight incline and through the cattails, her head held high and her tail kinked upwards and out of the way of her slashing back hooves before a call came from her lips; "Who in the world of Midnight Acres are you, I myself am Asthela, queen and ruler of Sunset Meadows, Do you seek Rage?"[/blockquote]

Swinging his ebony tail over his muscular hip the Peruvian Paso colt swung his head off to his right. The dripping and swishing noise of the water caught the attention of the colt. The figure that waded out of the pool was hidden by the wall of cattails and grass but as moments passed by a figure came out into Abacuss' view. The feminine form drew closer to Abacuss before halting a few feet away. Soon after she stopped her voice then rung out into the air. Soft hymns of a ladylike tone entered the atmosphere and entered Abacuss' ear canals. Asthela, huh?
He maneuvered his mass to be stationed in the direction of Asthela before parting his lappets. "I am Abacuss, Queen Asthela." He dipped his head low in a sort of bow before straightening his stance. "Yes I am here to see Rage. Do you know if he is accepting any more herd members into the Sunset Meadow?" The colt's tone was eager. Abacuss was three years old and all he really wanted to do was get his life started and try to forget what had happened before. In his previous life..

RAGE
I stepped lightly. My joints ached and my neck was still matted with blood. I cautiously stepped. I was returning home and I would have to make an announcement to my herd. I sniffed out another stallion in my terra. A low growl escaped my lips. He was near Asthela! I galloped to my queen, despite my pain. I slid to a stop. She stood in front of another stallion. “Speak or I will rip your throat out,” I threaten the other stallion meaning every word I said… If he dared try to even harm my dear Asthela than I would rip him to pieces, despite my inuries. I might even get Black Champagne to do it. I snickered at the thought of him ripping this stallion limb from limb.
Character: Rage Words: 130 Status: Complete Comments: Rage is protective of his mare, he may seem hostile at first. Just remain calm around him. Twisty; Asthela and Rage need to mate.

ASTHELA { if i gave you the truth would it keep you alive?`` Mm, the beautiful fall colours of the lands. The way the wind swept across her black-hinted peltage and through her webs added to the yellows, oranges, greens and purples of the terrain. She looked up upon his facade and tilted her crown lightly, fuzzy ear-tips cocking sideways as he spoke silently, so he was looking to become a warrior here at the Meadows? Ashen lips turned upwards in a pure smile as her hind leg tipped, her hip rolling downward as she stuck out her nose to him, sniffing at his very being curiously before she actually spoke. "Well, Abacuss, I am glad to have you here in the lands as a warrior."
No sooner that she spoke she heard another pair of hoofbeats upon the earth, and instantly she swung around, hips lightly touching the warrior's shoulder and her nape held low, lips pulled back with a growl before defensive stance was forgotton, it was only Rage. "Speak or I will rip your throat out.." he spoke with such venom, and she could only return it. "You will rip no one's throat out, Rage, not in my presense!"

Abacuss looked upon the sable tinted queen with eagerness. He truly hoped he would get the position and that he wouldn't mess it up. He didn't want to have what happened before to happen now when he had traveled so far to start a new life. And maybe this queen and king could understand that. Couldn't they? Abacuss hoped they did.
With ears cocked forward he watched intently as Asthela lightly sniffed him. Extending his own supple black neck he flared his nostrils inhaling her perfume. Slowly pulling back his crown from near her bodice he caught the echo of hoofbeats as they crashed to the soil. Immediately tossing his head the colt looked upon the form of what perhaps was the king of Sunset Meadows. Applying a grand smile to his face the colt straightened up his stature as the king then came closer. As Abacuss got a better view of the other stallion he now noticed that this other stud wasn't happy. Making his smile disappear the colt only waited as the brute came and slid up beside him and Asthela.
The words he spat out were venomous and spoke nothing but utter truth but as Abacuss scanned the stud's torso he noticed the bloody marks that coated his body. "Uh-hh. S-sir I'm A-ab-abacuss." He blurted out to the hellion. Oh, no. Not again. What had he done?
