The air in Midnight Acres was changing and changing fast, but this change was not do to the change in the season, oh no it was thick with the tension of the upcoming war. The war in witch us darks would be rid of the light equines once and for all and I couldn’t wait for that day to arrive. My dappled gray carcass moved fluidly over the snow covered ground, and my boa arched as I neared my destination.
I slowed to a walk as once again I entered the claiming land- but this time my approach would be different for the mares would be coming to me. Well stallions to for that matter for with the upcoming war all equines where in a panic to find others to be allied with to fins a home. I had just lost two mares, although neither where of much importance my herd was now smaller then before and that needed to change. Granted I had three mares, a warrior, a heiress and a possible slave but I wanted more. I was in to the big herd aspect.
Finding a dark area in this land took a while. This whole placed seemed to be suited more to the lights witch pissed me off. Nevertheless I found a patch of trees that seemed to hold a dark feeling, as I came to the middle of the cluster I sighed in approval. If I was going to be here for a while this was the place to be.
Raising my arabain frame into the cloudy sky I let out a deep call to all equines in the realm. Although my call was for all equines I was rather picky about those who where allowed in Taunting Marshes so not all would be welcomed. I only allowed darks and neutrals to become regular herd members lights where only suitable for slaves. Coming back down to the frozen ground I kept my senses alert- waiting for any who responded.
