Noel
My slender bay limbs brings me into this land. The land that I was calling my home. I came to a halt under a shade tree on a hill looking out over the land. I could see lots of water, loads of rich green flora and a few places for shelter. This should be good enough, I thought to myself. Then I turn my lanterns to look behind me. My sentinels listen for any sounds that might be made as I waited for Taya to come along and explore with me as well.
While I waited for her I lifted my weight upon my hinds in a rear as I lifted toward the heavens. I open my mug and let a call ring thro out the land for all animals to hear. I was king here. Taya shall be my queen if she wished, the choice was her. I came back down upon the earth. I reached out my front limb as I pawed away the top layer of green flora to show the rich black earth under it. I claimed the land as mine. For me and whoever might come and live here. A smile upon my bay mug. We could learn about each more. That shall always be a good thing.
[whoa I suck really bad on this starter. lolz]

taya - When you say, "Thank you," For some reason, my heart hurts a little.
I had to admit, my heart dreaded the fact that I was living with someone. I watched, emerald orbs hazy, as my king traveled ahead of me. I lagged behind, taking slower, smaller steps until I could barely see him. I felt so hesitant, wondering if I'd done something wrong. What would Monte say? And my mother? Suddenly, my mood turned placid, and my delicate radars snapped back. Oh, right. They both had disappeared, with their second child. Their precious heir. I stomped my foreleg into the rough turf, and jerked my crown up to spot Noel. My throat rumbled in a worried whinny, and I sprinted towards my master, tresses clamped against my haunches. By the time I caught up to the bay brute, he'd been rearing, making his claiming call, like the one that Monte did from time to time. Maw parted, and I started to speak, sounding breathless, but as always, tense. "Do you think I'll be safe here? No one will get me?"
I glanced around, emerald orbs scanning every detail about this place. It seemed nice enough, although I could see what appeared to be a large lake. I raised my slender crown and took a few steps forward, surprised at my change. I hadn't wanted to be near Noel, but now I clung to his side, my frame trembling with chills, despite the mid summer heat.

e a g l e ; ; From the shadows a pair of crimson eyes had watched the pair like a predator, who could it have been? Why, none other than that mysterious little mare that went by the name of Eagle. Painted cannons threw her bod forwards towards the duo with a welcoming bellow and a respectful nod, dipping her stock features towards the ground. 'Ave ye come to claim 'ese lands 'ere? she quizzed as her head arose to face them completely. A newly claimed mare and her king, wonderful. It seems it was only appropriate to introduce herself since she kinda was wandering here first.
Forgive me manners, I be Eagle. You be? she asked, throwing a glance at both the brute and the little essa. Auditories had been perked towards them to listen if any lyricals were offered towards her, but soon she found out she heard none. Why was there some hesitation? Was it because a mysterious painted horse just materialized out of the foggy depths of Elixar Grove?

While I was waiting I heard the whinny Taya as sent toward me. I toward my blood bay bodice quickly. I tense as I wonder what could have gone wrong. My sentinels alert as they lend forward to hear any other sounds. But I only heard her talons land upon the earth as she moved toward me. My lanterns watches her. There was nothing behind her, that I could see. Then she came to the halt near me while she began to spill her words to me. She seemed worry. I began to let my voice be heard toward her while I spoke in a calm tone. You will be safe here. You have my wrong. Are you okay? My lantern lids blinked while I looked her in her lanterns. Indeed I could tell something was wrong. Did she feel like she made the wrong choice? Was she running from someone or something? Did she want to leave already? Either way, I didn't mind. I wasn't the type that put chains on his mares. They had rights to and should be heard.
My sentinels flickers as I hear another set of talons hit the earth. My bodice tense once more. Then I noticed it was a painted mare as I became less tense. She seem friendly and not showing any signs of threating. I return her bellow that she made toward us. Then her sound waves hit my eardrums as she spoke out toward me. I lower my cerebrum toward the earth to show her the same respect that she showed upon myself. Then my words spoke out toward her. Well hello Eagle, Noel and this is Taya, my queen if she would like the title. Yes I'm claiming these lands. Do you live here? I let my lanterns looks toward Taya to see her actions as I flashed a smile toward her. Indeed if Taya wants the title its hers. But if not thats fine too. I let my lanterns look toward Eagle, indeed it was understandable to me a lone mare living in the lands that was claim yet.

Noel and Taya. Cheerful names compared to her plain 'Eagle' name; the primed overo essa stepped sideways, lowering her crown to the earth below her to feed upon the lush shoots. Indeed she had been an old indian horse back in her young days, some of the paint still visiable on her old, battered bodice. She was of the tobiano colour with a faded blue ring around one of her eyes and a few dainty eagle feathers woven into her mane. When she had escaped, she couldn't remember, but what she did remember was slowly starting to fade away:
All around me there were indian boys and girls screaming wildly as the forest fire raged through the lands, terrifying the children of both humans and equids alike. Being of the youngest, I panicked first until we were cut free from our standing posts to allow ourselves freedom. We scrambled like roaches to get away, leaving behind our homes and our families, the driven instinct to live through the disaster had shaken our bodies to the core - so we ran. Days and days we had ran, all through the country and some tiny little towns until finally I was old enough to go out on my own.
Nice little history she had accomplished, but she looked down upon it with new found hope. Yes, I live 'ere. Way before you 'ame and claimed it. she answered profusely, half into her own world as she rose her crown to look at them once more through saddened pink orbs.

taya - Bitter tears I always cried, After a, "Good-bye..." from you.
Where did this frightened little child come from? I'd always been so bold as a youngster. When did things go wrong? Emerald pools scanned the terrain again, more or less for the third time, but I almost held a sort of grim satisfaction when radars caught the faintest sound of approaching beats. I planted my spotted limbs into the ground and refused to move, staring into the direction of the noise, pools narrowed, sizing up the figure as it made it's grand debut. A mare. It was a mare. Maybe around my mother's age, this mare was watching us, amusement shining clear in her rosy tinted orbs. I blinked, transfixed on this primed female, feeling less shocked, and more curious. I didn't listen to Noel speak his comforting words, I just watched the essa with an intent nature. Then this essa spoke, its lilting tone carrying to my perked radars. Like that, my trance like state vanished, and I focused on the conversation.
"Forgive me manners, I be Eagle. You be?" Despite the fact that Noel introduced me, his words following a strange offering - wait, what? He wanted me to be a queen. Hn. I could hardly handle myself around lights, let alone having such power! Still, I couldn't resist the urge to reply to the pinto essa, newly named Eagle, a smile creasing my naturally worried facade. "I'm Taya." Then I remained silent, watching the two equine speak among themselves. I felt strangely left out, like how I felt when mother and father discussed herd issues back at the Valley. Not that they did much. I released a short, clipped snort, then turned to face Eagle, curiously questioning her. "You have? You've been here for a while?" I mumbled shyly, lost in my own thoughts about my previous home. I glanced around every so often, a small frown dipping onto my tender mug.
; sorry for the late reply - i get so behind on weekends. ><

Sentinels flickers while I catch the sounds of Taya and Eagle. Indeed she has been here for a while. So why kick her out now? It would be kind of wrong. My voice replies back toward her while I spoke. You are still welcome to stay here if you like and become part of are family. I said family besides herd. I thought herd was somewhat labeling and it made you seem like you was collecting and collecting was something I didn't and wont do. It was wrong.
My lanterns then drifted toward Taya as she spoke toward Eagle. Indeed I would like to know how long she been here as well. She might have been raised in this land for all that I know. But I did know something. Taya didn't answer about being queen. Did this mean that she didn't want to be it? I wasn't sure. My hazel lanterns moves as they meet Taya while I let my words come out toward her. So would you dear? My cerebrum slightly cock while I waited for her reply.
I notice how once in a while Taya had a frown that lurk on her mug. She seem to be thinking about the pass. I know I just met her, but I knew there wasn't a reason to frown over nothing. The pass will be the pass. There wasn't nothing that you could do to change it now. You have always got to look ahead on things, think while in action, because one day this will be your pass.
My may mug extended outward while I gently touched her with my mug upon her broa. I was in a way trying to tell her that I was here if she needed to talk about anything. I would stand up for her or stand at her side about whatever it was. Then my lanterns moves toward Eagle while I as well waited for her reply. If she stayed she might could be second in command. I believe that first come first. Thats how I was raised. You just didn't love one mare and gave your heart to her. You gave the whole family your heart and love them all the same way. Most brutes looked at me thinking I'm odd. But thats away I believe that it should be, everyone should have the right to have the same amount of love.
