Sophie heard his words, they were carried with the wind. She snapped her head up. I have a heart, but it carries no sympathy for little fools like you! She screamed. She saw his actions, she saw him buck, she slowed to a slow canter, and as soon as she saw his body turn, she dug her forehooves into the ground, and spun around sharply, she took of fin his direction, she was at his shoulder now, her reactions were quick. She snaked her neck towards his, her teeth colliding with yet more flesh, she ripped her skull away, and carried on galloping at his side, she wasn't slowing, yet she couldn't go much faster, her head was pounding, and the sand grains were whipping up her sides, making her wounds sore.

... Angels in flight.

Ha, did she really believe that she had a heart? She was fighting it, because she was losing. So she was taking the defensive, trying to prove it all. This showed me, that I could win, I could win, but I could win with the light, not just by giving into the dark. But I was thinkng now, and I had to move. The look-a-like drew up to my shoulders, as they shifted back and forth like a pendelum. They pushed off the ground, carrying me faster. Her teeth reached out for them, and though she did reach, it didn't matter. I kept going. My crown barely tipped towards her, and I had to re-think my plan. That Xehanort fighter was showing up, but I couldn't stoop to his level, not like I had earlier. My throat rumbled in a faint growl, as my body began to drift away from her. I didn't slow my pace, but I did move in a softer motion, up until my body lurched sideways.

"No. You are like Xehanort. You have no heart! You're a Nobody!"

I moved back towards her so quickly, that I didn't even realize how fast I was moving. Sure, I planned this out. I wanted to crash into her, and "send her flying," as Sora would always say. I could feel hot bodies crash together, and I used all my force to try to push her over. All those years, working in the deep sand on Destiney Islands kind of helped me. My forelegs struggled to stay upright, but since I was used to try and stay forward on the Islands, I was able to keep my ground. I wasn't sure about her. So I again, moved off in another direction, and moved up over a hill side in the battlegrounds. I slowed. Why did I slow down? In any instance, I did. I looked towards the female, and clenched my jaw. Snorting, my blue tinted eyes were carried off into the distance. It was at the darkening sky, and what Sora and Kairi said when we were preparing to leave.

"One sky, one destiny. Sora, Kairi. I will see you soon. I promise. I promise!"

My voice soared high up, and my frame lifted into the air. I just wanted to fly away, fly away to them, but it just wasn't possible. Too bad for me, but I wouldn't quit until I was back home, safe and sound. So if this look-a-like wanted to stand in my voyage for home, let her do it, but let her be known that I wouldn't just bow down to her. That would be something that I would never do. It wasn't me.

Sophie threw her skull backward and laughed, loud. No dear Riku, your the nobody. Seriously, do you think if you so called friends really loved you, they wouldn't of left you. Poor poor little Riku, no friends, he's been deserted. she cackled her evil tone and carried on after him, matching his pace, however, she was thinking fast again, and as soon as she saw him turn to cut her off, she dug her forelegs into the ground, locking her legs straight so they didn't buckle and send her flying. Instead, she skidded around, somehow, she did manage to stay on all fours, but the speed she was skidding at had put alot of pressure on her joints. She screamed at Riku. And followed him up the hill. His little plan hadn't worked, oh didums. Ha, never mind, he could always try again. She caught up to him again. I don't know what your running for, Or who your shouting for, becuase your little friends don't love you anymore Riku. Your by yourself, all alone in this bastard world, for all you and I know, they could be dead she laughed, saying her last word in an extra evil, slow lyric. Her eyes narrowed at Riku, her harks pinned back to her skull, she waited for some reaction from him.

... My sanctuary, my sanctuary, yeah.

Why was I changing so much? I felt so strange when I first got here. I screamed, I cried, I fought, inside myself. I was losing it, but she really changed something. The light is something I could always look up to, even if I wasn't a part of it. There has to be a light, and there has to be a darkness. I was the darkness, but it didn't matter much anyhow. I knew that, for as much darkness I had in my heart, there would be light. They were the light. So I owed it to them. Now I had to do this for them. At first, I didn't hear the look-a-like speak. I didn't care to hear her speak, but she spoke so foolishly, that brought out Xehanort's side. "Riku, do it, kill her, just another heart to add to my collection- Riku? Don't do it. Please, don't do it, stay calm, for me." Kairi, Sora... You actually overcame Xehanort's voice. Thank you. Now, back to the action, I need to respond somehow. I had to respond in a way that brought out the light in me. Still, I couldn't resist to throw in that little tenacious Riku retort.

"We were seperated. Didn't I tell you? I thought that the Heartless had brains, but I suppose I have to be wrong sometimes."

Score one for me. In the back of my mind, I could hear Kairi and Sora laughing and cheering for me. It made me smile. The corners of my mouth lifted, and I released a small chuckle. Once standing at the top of a faint hill, I could see that the look-a-like was still coming at me. You know what, let her. The darkness needed a real leader, and if I could prove- No, I don't need to prove anything to anyone. I was Riku. I could do whatever I pleased, and right now, what I was pleased to do was show that I did in fact have light in her. Still, it didn't help that she was coming at me, but I wasn't phased. I remained rigid and still, my steel grey tassels blowing slowly in a faint breeze, showing the winter chill.

So she spoke again. She claimed that I was running. I wasn't running from her. I was running from myself in a way, the way that Xehanort wanted me, but that didn't prove anything. "I don't know what your running for, Or who your shouting for, becuase your little friends don't love you anymore Riku. Your by yourself, all alone in this bastard world, for all you and I know, they could be dead." That was really all that she could come up with? I sort of pitied her. She really was losing this personal battle. Ha, and I didn't even know her name.

"I'm not running from you, that's for sure."

Score two for Riku, eh? Those little retorts could upbring a harsh reply, but oh well. It wouldn't hurt me. It built me up, in a good way. So, staring into the look-a-like with warm, blue-green tinted eyes, I spoke. My voice was kind, as if remembering those great memories. It was why I missed them so much. While I spoke to her, my eyes railed up to the sky. One sky, one destiny. My destiny was just taking me somewhere else now.

"No. Not Kairi and Sora. Sora, naive as he may be, he's fully surrounded in light, and I know he can survive. And Kairi? She'll be find. She's looking for me and Sora. I know she's got a good heart."

That was true. I was so innocent now, she'd probably try to take this and push it against me. Oh well, if I got to speak the truth about the ones I loved, I'd be okay after all.

He had stopped running now, and stood still on a hil. Sophie carried on charging, she didn't slow, as she neared him, she lowered her head, bringing it forwards, building up tension in her powerful legs, she screamed, her lyrics evil and twisted Just fucking DIE Riku, your a nobody, a coward, and a stupid fool. Bang Sophie collided into the side of riku, with such force, it nearly knocked her over. However, she stood her ground. She reared, foam frothing from her fine mouth. She screamed again. Your sick Riku, your such a heaven kisser it's discusting. I'm that annoyed I can't even kill you. She returned to the ground with a big thump, her hooves marking deep imprints into the ground underfoot. She spat to the floor. I hope their dead, both of them. It would be so amusing, see, you put across that you love them so much...wouldn't it just be a shame if you never... she walked up to his and put her mouth to his aud, just so it was touching, then carried on ...ever, saw them again. Lyrics were finished, however, she kept her dial still, breathing ever so lightly into his ear.

... Where fears and lies melt away.

I win. That light bulb went off in my head. When she spoke, I knew that I was getting to her, but I wasn't using that reserved darkness that I had earlier. I was winning by showing the light in my heart, and this enraged her. Well, good. At least I had the upper hand. When she approached completely, and I could see her, eye to eye, my blue-green eyes narrowed and glittered with a fierce determination. Then she rammed my thin stature. I could feel my tassels whip my neck when I fell backwards, downwards, like a comical roll. You know the snowball? It got bigger and bigger as it careened downhill? Well, I wasn't a snowball, but I still rolled pretty fast. It hurt, as my body was hurled down the hill, which in turn, was actually very long once I fell. I felt like I was flying down to the ground, but I could still fel the sickening crunches once my head hit. That dried blood spot cracked and sizzled once the dirt got into the fresh wound. But, I wasn't upset.

All at once, the world stopped spinning, and I layed flat. My blue-green eyes opened, and stared out at the world, and if it she thought I was dead, too bad for her. Ever so slowly, my body rose. First, my forelegs stiffened against the dusty turf. My back legs had to work twice as hard. I shook with the effort, but I rose with a smile. It appeared to be twisted, but it wasn't. I knew that she was upset, she wanted me dead, so she was beginning to become desperate. Staring up the hill, I watched her, she reared, bits of foaming saliva spilling from her open mouth. And still, I was smiling. Even when I nearly collapsed, while trying to climb up the hill, I remembered. "Riku, you're winning! C'mon Riku, that's how you do it! Yes!" Thanks guys. It really did mean a lot to me. This was like how it was before. They were looking up to me. That's how I wanted it to stay, as one happy family.

Once I completed that trip up, I was panting. Mainly from exhertion, but my crown was raised proudly, and I stared at her. I still was smiling. Inside, Sora and Kairi cheered. Selphie and her gang were there too, backing me up. And this look-a-like? She had no one but her own anger and hatrid. Didn't seem very fair, but she brought it upon herself.

"You can't kill me? Why not? Is it because I put up a fight and you can't beat me? Or are you scared? Maybe you do have a heart after all- certainly not a good one."

"There you go man, that's the way to do it. See how she feels after that!" I felt like Sora was here with me. My tassels, dried with blood, dampened with some new dirt, shifted, and blew in a breeze that I couldn't feel. Was it really a breeze? I didn't think so. I felt a sudden warmth, no doubt from Sora's spirit. I knew he was alive, as my shoulders began a tinglin sensation, as if a horse passed by me. They were with me. Almost as though she was the icy touch, I could feel the look-a-like approach. She spoke in my rotating auduals. She tried to sound so cruel, so angered, but I just smiled, and chuckled joyously. My crown raised to be level with hers. I blew a soft breath into her nostrils, and spoke kindly.

"Maybe I won't ever see them again. Who knows? I know they aren't dead. Even if they were though, at least I'm cared for. Who cares for you? Who thrives to see you in the middle of the night? Who considers you to be their hikari?"

Testy words indeed. As if I was just chatting to her, I numbly moved to lick at my shoulder, where a trail of blood spilled, making me look ever so bold. Then I began to walk away from her. I wasn't leaving. I wasn't done, but I was completely vulnerable to her attacks. I would take her beatings, but as she continued to try and break me down, making herself stronger, I knew I was winning. Let her kill herself, inside out. I was done being afraid of the darkness. Now I was in the middle. Kairi and Sora, Leon, Cloud, everyone. Everyone was on the light side, the winning side, and this look-a-like was on the dark side, the losing side. Where was I? Right now, I was on neither side. I was just, here.

She didn't know why she was winding herself up over this moron, she had a very short temper, and she knew it, she got that from her father, her mother, was not so bad, dark indeed, but not as dark as herself. She tossed her crown, he went flying down the hill. She stood tall and watched him roll. An evil smirk playing across her face. He was a little tough cookie indeed, coming back up the hill, no dout in pain, and very tired, but yet, he still held that awful cheeky smile on his face. It sickened her You must keep your temper Sophie her mothers words repeated in her head. She snorted, watching him slowly walk back up to her. Her mother was right. He blew into her nostrils, the scent of him so close was discusting. However, she stood her ground, not moving an inch. She listened to his words. He sounded so proud to have imaginary friends. She didn't think for one minute that Sora and Kairi were real, he was just kidding himself. She met his gaze, stared straight into his eyes No, I may not have little spirits floating around in my head, but unlike you, i don't need anyone to string me along or help me on my way. he tone was stern, but calm, anger had rushed out of her almost as fast as it had appeared.

So she didn't follow me as I left. In a way, I was still winning. Aside from her less than smart comments, trying to overthrow me, I was still winning. Just what I wanted to prove. My crown, which had been aching from the downhill fall, was tossed to the side lightly, in an almost teasing manner. It was playful, but I didn't want to play. That smile was still there. It was strained, as my leg caught a stiff spot mid stride, making me stumble. Still, I was just glad to be winning, and glad to be here, in a state of calm. Almost. As slowly as I descended away from her, I turned my body, shaking my crown in a laughing manner. I did laugh. The tones were raised above a harsh win that blew, making me shiver. After I laughed, my voice began to flow from me in a relaxed manner. I was so relaxed, that I was even able to shift my frame, and blink my blue-green tinted eyes.

"Yes you do. You know you need at least one person in your life. To say otherwise is proof that you really are as pitiful as I thought. Right? Why, you even forgot your name, didn't you?"

This was like Castle Oblivion, wasn't it? She was forgetting about herself, this dark manner. And yet, I was still here, bringing back the fire. Why, she should be thanking me, and yet, she tried to make smark remarks about me. Ha, this was rather funny. My voice, not too deep, not high pitched, in the middle, began to let loose in a laugh. I laughed for a while, I guess, because when I finally stopped into a fit of chuckles, I was panting. Again, I turned on her, and began to walk off, making the steep descent downhill. Once downhill, I looked at the look-a-like, and laughed again, before making a smooth transition to a canter. I began to canter off. She'd probably squeal in anger, and say that I was running away. Let her, let her fill herself with smoke. I'm completely fine with it. But then I realized I needed to speak again, so as I cantered, I spoke in a clear, crisp manner.

"You can't be afraid of the darkness. And like you can't be afraid of the darkness, you can't be afraid of the light. Just let yourself have some hikari in your dark little heart. Okay?"

They were actually soft. My words were soft, like I was giving advice, but this would surely mess with her brain, so I slowed, and looked back to see her reaction. One corner of my mouth lifted in a small smirk. I laughed again, and sighed.

Sophie watched him walk away, now, she did not want to fight, before, she could of killed him; now, it was different, her temper was being controlled by her mind, not letting her loose it, not letting her fight or argue. It only let her move, talk and react in a calm manner.
Pitiful? She laughed lightly, I think not. she finished, her tone was silky. The dark bay walked close to Riku, coming up along his left side, she reached slowly out to his back and grazed her teeth along it.
Oh yes, she had sensed his playful streak, but did he not know darks could play too? He took off downhill at a canter, his pace was smooth and light, but Sophie could match it. Harks remained slightly arched forward and her eyes were alert. She heard his words, she cantered up to him and spoke softly Riku, do you not listen m'love? she chuckled, then carried on I have already told you, I am not afraid of darkness, if i was, i would of surely killed myself by now. You can't be born a true dark and then change your ways. She matched his stride, he slowed, why? was he expecting her to react in some sort of phycotic way? Unlucky; It was hard, real hard, but she was going well in controlling her temper.

[nods] I agree, its not really going anywhere. Lets just say they both took off in oppisite directions mkay? and sure, Sophie will be quite happy to say hello to Riku in BL sometime in the future =]
